2Optimization of microwave-assisted extraction of bioactive alkaloids from lotus plumule using response surface methodology显示文摘In this work,a fast and efficient microwave-assisted extraction(MAE) method was developed to extract main bioactive alkaloids from lotus plumue.To optimize MAE conditions,three main factors were selected using univariate approach experiments,and then central composite design(CCD).The optimal extraction conditions were as follows:methanol concentration of 65%,microwave power of 200 W,and extraction time of 260 s.A high performance liquid chromatography–diode array detector(HPLC–DAD) method was established to quantitatively analyze these phytochemicals in different lotus plumule samples and in different part of lotus.Chromatographic separation was carried out on an Agilent Zorbax Extend-C_(18) column(4.6 mm×150 mm,3.5 μm).Gradient elution was applied with the mobile phase constituted with 0.1% triethylamine in water(A)and acetonitrile(B):40%-70% B at 0-8 min,70%-100% B at 8–9 min,100% B for 2 min,and then equilibrated with 40% B for 2 min.Wei Xiong Xianqiang Chen Guangping Lv Dejun Hu Jing Zhao Shaoping Li 2016Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2016,6,6:3
3Effect of the Structure of Cations and Anions of Ionic Liquids on Separation of Aromatics from Hydrocarbon Mixtures显示文摘The effects of the structure of typical cations and anions of ionic liquids on the separation of benzene and toluene from aromatic/paraffin mixtures were studied. The results showed that the corresponding separation factors were considerably larger than those of the traditional solvents (Benzene+Hexane+sulfolane), and that the ionic liquids could be used as novel solvents for the separation of aromatics from hydrocarbon mixtures. The key parameters governing the ability of ionic liquids for separating aromatics from hydrocarbon sources were investigated. It was found that the effectiveness of the ionic liquids, based on the same anion, changed in the cation order of [BIqu]+< [BPy]+< [BMIM]+. The selectivity of the ionic liquid toward aromatics decreased apparently with the increasing length of the substituted alkyl chain of its cationic head ring. The separation factors, based on the same cation, changed in the anion order of [Tf2N]-<[PF6]-<[BF4]-<[C2H5SO4]-. 7A Multi-Flow Information Flow Tracking Approach for Proving Quantitative Hardware Security Properties显示文摘Information Flow Tracking(IFT)is an established formal method for proving security properties related to confidentiality,integrity,and isolation.It has seen promise in identifying security vulnerabilities resulting from design flaws,timing channels,and hardware Trojans for secure hardware design.However,existing IFT methods tend to take a qualitative approach and only enforce binary security properties,requiring strict non-interference for the properties to hold while real systems usually allow a small amount of information flows to enable desirable interactions.Consequently,existing methods are inadequate for reasoning about quantitative security properties or measuring the security of a design in order to assess the severity of a security vulnerability.In this work,we propose two multi-flow solutions—multiple verifications for replicating existing IFT model and multi-flow IFT method.The proposed multi-flow IFT method provides more insight into simultaneous information flow behaviors and allows for proof of quantitative information flow security properties,such as diffusion,randomization,and boundaries on the amount of simultaneous information flows.Experimental results show that our method can be used to prove a new type of information flow security property with verification performance benefits.Yu Tai Wei Hu Lu Zhang Dejun Mu Ryan Kastner 2021Tsinghua Science and Technology2021,26,1:1

9High temperature induced masculinization of zebrafish by down-regulation of sox9b and esr1 via DNA methylation显示文摘Elevated temperature could influence the sex differentiation by altering the expression of sex-related genes in fish.However, the underlying mechanisms by which the gene expression is altered remain poorly understood.Here, we aimed to explore the role of DNA methylation in sex differentiation of zebrafish(Danio rerio) in response to elevated temperature.The results showed that high temperature(33℃) exposure of fish from 20 to 30 days post fertilization(dpf), compared to normal temperature(28℃), resulted in male-biased sex ratio and decreased expression of female-related genes including cyp19a1a, sox9b and esr1.Meanwhile, the expressions of DNA methyltransferases dnmt3a1 and dnmt3a2, and the DNA methylation levels in sox9b and esr1 promoter were significantly increased by high temperature, strongly implying that DNA methylation is involved in high temperature-induced masculinization of zebrafish.Co-treatment with 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine(a DNA methylation inhibitor) attenuated the high temperature-induced masculinizing effect, recovered the expression of esr1 and sox9b, suppressed the transcription of dnmt3a1 and dnmt3a2, and decreased the methylation of esr1 and sox9b promoter, further confirming that DNA methylation plays an important role in high temperature-induced masculinization of zebrafish.Furthermore, the methylation of sox9b promoter decreased the enrichment of transcription factor CREB(cAMP-responsive element binding proteins).Overall, these findings suggest that high temperature induce masculinization of zebrafish by down-regulation of femalerelated genes via DNA methylation, providing a new insight in understanding the epigenetic mechanism of thermal-mediated sex differentiation in fish.Jiangyuan Han Yan Hu Yongmei Qi Cong Yuan Sajid Naeem Dejun Huang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,9:1

14Boosting Photocatalytic Oxygen Evolution:Purposely Constructing Direct Z-Scheme Photoanode by Modulating the Interface Electric Field显示文摘Ti-Fe2O3 photoanode has received widespread attention in photoelectrochemical(PEC)water spilling because of its optimized oxidative and reductive capability of composites catalyst.However,its low efficiency could limit its development.Herein,in order to improve the efficiency of PEC water spilling,the all-solid-state direct Z-scheme Ti-ZnFe2O4/Ti-Fe2O3(TZFO/Ti-Fe2O3)nanorod arrays composited with the ideal energy band structure are synthesized by modulating the Fermi level of TZFO for PEC water splitting.The photophysical methods in this work,including the Kelvin probe measurement and transient photovoltage spectroscopy(TPV)measurement,are applied to explore the migration behavior of electric charges at the enhanced interface electric field.Finally,the Z-scheme charge transfer mechanism of TZFO/Ti-Fe2O3 photoanode is proved successfully.Benefiting from the desirable charge transfer at interface electric field,the TZFO/Ti-Fe2O3 exhibits the outstanding photocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance,and the photocurrent of 60TZFO/Ti-Fe2O3 photoanode reaches 2.16 mA/cm^2 at 1.23 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),which is three times higher than that of pure Ti-Fe2O3 photoanode.This work provides a facile approach of modulating interface electric field to optimize the Z-scheme charge-transfer process.LI Yinyin WU Qiannan ZHANG Kai HU Bin LIN Yanhong WANG Dejun XIE Tengfeng 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,6:0
15Surface Modification of Medical Polyurethane by Plasma Treatment显示文摘The wettability and surface structure of plasma treatment on medical polyurethane were studied.Two kinds of gas,N_(2),Ar,were used to create the dow-temperature plasma under low pressure.The wettability was investigated by means of the sessile drop method using water,the results show that the contact angle of water decreases from 78.8°to 61.9°as the treatment time increases.The results of electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis indicate that original chemical bonds were broken up after plasma,treatment,which was the main reason for the surface modificatioii.At same time,the results of electron spinning resonance show that the amounts of radicals did not increase significantly after treatment,which is advantageous to clinical practice of polyurethane.LI Dejun ZHAO Jie GU Hanqing LU Mozhu DING Fuqing HU Jianfang 1992Chinese Physics Letters1992,9,2:0
16Numerical investigation of viscous fingering in Hele-Shaw cell with spatially periodic variation of depth显示文摘Viscous fingering in a modified Hele-Shaw cell is numerically investigated.The cell allows periodic variation of depth in the lateral direction. The wavenumber n of the depth perturbation has great influence on fingering patterns. For n = 1, the fingering pattern due to the interface instability remains the same as that in the conventional Hele-Shaw cell, while the depth variation causes the steady finger to be a little narrower. For n = 2, four different fingering patterns are captured, similar to the available experimental observations in a modified Hele-Shaw cell containing a centered step-like occlusion. It is found that new fingering patterns appear as n further increases, among which, two patterns with spatial oscillation along both edges of the finger are particularly interesting.One is a symmetric oscillatory finger for n = 3, and the other is an asymmetric one for n = 4. The influence of capillary number on fingering patterns is studied for n = 3 and 4.We find that spatial oscillation of the finger nearly ceases at moderate capillary numbers and occurs again as the capillary number increases further. Meanwhile, the wide finger shifts to the narrow one. It is accompanied by a sudden decrease in the finger width which otherwise decreases continuously as the capillary number increases. 17Transmission of Carbapenem Resistance Between Human and Animal NDM-Positive Escherichia coli Strains显示文摘Although carbapenem use is prohibited in animals in China,carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli(CREC),especially New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase(NDM)-producing strains,are widely prevalent in foodproducing animals.At present,the impact of livestock-associated CREC strains on human populations at the national level is unknown.Here,we conduct a retrospective cross-sectional study to investigate the prevalence of CREC from clinical settings across 22 Chinese provinces or municipalities and analyze anthropogenic factors associated with their presence.We also ascertain the blaNDMand blaKPCabundance among pig and chicken farms and present a detailed genomic framework for CREC of animal and human origin.Overall,631/29799(2.1%)clinical Escherichia coli(E.coli)isolates were identified as CREC.Multivariable analysis revealed that being male,an age below 1,an age between 13 and 18,provinces with greater chicken production,and provinces with higher pig production were associated with higher odds of CREC infection.In general,73.8%(n=45/61)of pig farms and 62.2%(n=28/45)of chicken farms had a blaNDMabundance of 1×10^(-5)to 1×10^(-3)and 1×10^(-3)to 1×10^(-2),respectively.Among all the Chinese NDM-positive E.coli(n=463)available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI),the genomic analysis revealed that blaNDM-5and Inc X3 were the predominant carbapenemase gene-plasmid combination,while a highly homogeneous relationship between NDM-positive isolates from humans and animals was demonstrated at the plasmid and core genome levels.All the findings suggest frequent CREC transmission between humans and animals,indicating that further discussions on the use of antibiotics in animals and humans are needed,both in China and across the globe.Yingbo Shen Fupin Hu Yongqiang Wang Dandan Yin Lu Yang Yiqiang Chen Chunyan Xu Jiyun Li Junyao Jiang Xueyang Wang Yulin Fu Dongyan Shao Dejun Liu Tengfei Ma Chang Cai Zhangqi Shen Shaolin Wang Juan Li Rong Zhang Yuebin Ke Congming Wu Jianzhong Shen Timothy R.Walsh Yang Wang 2022Engineering2022,8,8:0
