| 1 | Research on the natural meshing mechanism and testing analysis of scroll profiles for refrigeration scroll compressor显示文摘In the design theory of scroll profiles for refrigeration scroll compressor,a mechanism principle of scroll profiles based on the center of natural temporal involutes and meshing region is presented,by which the performance characteristics of the various involutes are studied. Profiles type selection is very important for scroll compressor. Through analyzing the characteristic geometry,natural meshing mechanism is discovered in the study of scrolls. And a novel method for scroll profiles based on natural meshing mechanism is proposed. The result shows that the meshing region angle of odd regular polygon involutes is half of the characteristic-geometry exterior angle,and that of even regular polygon involutes is equal to the exterior angle to the moment. The corresponding meshing region angle is reduced increasingly with the increase of the edge number of characteristic geometry. The performance characteristics of scroll compressor tend towards the best correspondingly. Aiming at the existing problems of profile design for scrolls,we developed a novel methodology to study scroll profile. Originality research was done for the further study of scroll profile. | 2 | Drug eluting biliary stents to decrease stent failure rates:Areview of the literature显示文摘Biliary stenting is clinically effective in relieving both malignant and non-malignant obstructions. However, there are high failure rates associated with tumor ingrowth and epithelial overgrowth as well as internally from biofilm development and subsequent clogging. Within the last decade, the use of prophylactic drug eluting stents as a means to reduce stent failure has been investigated. In this review we provide an overview of the current research on drug eluting biliary stents. | 3 | Evaluation of chemopreventive effect of Fumaria indica against N-nitrosodiethylamine and CCl_4-induced hepatocellular carcinoma in Wistar rats显示文摘Objective:To investigation the chemopreventive potential of Fumaria indica(F.indica) extract(FIE) on N-nitrosodiethylamine and CCl4-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in Wislar rats.Methods:The experimental animals were divided into six groups(n=6).Hepatocellular carcinoma was induced by single intraperitoneal injection of N-nitrosodiethylamine(NDEA) in normal saline at a dose of 200 mg/kg body weight followed by weekly subcutaneous injections of CCl4(3 mL/kg/week) for 6 weeks,as the promoter of carcinogenic effect.After administration of the carcinogen,200 and 400 mg/kg of FIE were administered orally once a day throughout the study.At the end of 20 weeks,the body weight,liver weight and relative liver weight were measured.The percentage of nodule incidence and liver cancer markers such as aspartate transaminase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),γ-glutamyl transferase(γ-GT),total bilirubin level(TBL),α-feto protein(AFP) and carcinoembryonic antigen were estimated along with histopathological investigation in experimental groups of rats. Results:Obtained results demonstrated that the cotreatment with FIE significantly prevented the decrease of the body weight and also increased in relative liver weight caused by NDEA. The treatment with FIE significantly reduced the nodule incidence and nodule multiplicity in the rats after NDEA administration.The levels of liver cancer markers such as AST,ALT,ALP,γ-glutamyl transferase,TBL,AFP and carcinoembryonic antigen were substantially increased by NDEA treatment.However,FIE treatment significantly reduced the liver injury and restored the entire liver cancer markers.Histological observations of liver tissues too correlated with the biochemical observations.Conclusions:These finding powerfully supports that F.indica exert chemopreventive effect by suppressing the tumor burden and restoring the activities of hepatic cancer marker enzymes on NDEA and CCl4-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in Wistar rats. | Talib Hussain Hefazat H Siddiqui Sheeba Fareed M Vijayakumar Chandana V Rao | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012，5，8： | 3 |
| 4 | Role of ERCP in the era of laparoscopic cholecystectomy for the evaluation of choledocholithiasis in sickle cell anemia显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the role of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for choledocholithiasis in patients with sickle cell anemia (SCA) in the era of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). METHODS:Two hundred and twenty four patients (144 male,80 female; mean age,22.4 years; range,5-70 years) with SCA underwent ERCP as part of their evaluation for cholestatic jaundice (CJ). The indications for ERCP were:CJ only in 97,CJ and dilated bile ducts on ultrasound in 103,and CJ and common bile duct (CBD) stones on ultrasound in 42. RESULTS:In total,CBD stones were found in 88 (39.3%) patients and there was evidence of recent stone passage in 16. Fifteen were post-LC patients. These had endoscopic sphincterotomy and stone extraction. The remaining 73 had endoscopic sphincterotomy and stone extraction followed by LC without an intraoperative cholangiogram.CONCLUSION:In patients with SCA and cholelithiasis,ERCP is valuable whether preoperative or postoperative,and in none was there a need to perform intraoperative cholangiography. Sequential endoscopic sphincterotomy and stone extraction followed by LC is beneficial in these patients.
