1Effect of low-nitrogen stress on photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics of maize cultivars with different low-nitrogen tolerances显示文摘Nitrogen(N)is a critical element for plant growth and productivity that influences photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence.We investigated the effect of low-N stress on leaf photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics of maize cultivars with difference in tolerance to low N levels.The low-N tolerant cultivar ZH311 and low-N sensitive cultivar XY508 were used as the test materials.A field experiment(with three N levels:N0,0 kg ha–1;N1,150 kg ha–1;N2,300 kg ha–1)in Jiyanyang,Sichuan Province,China,and a hydroponic experiment(with two N levels:CK,4 mmol L–1;LN,0.04 mmol L–1)in Chengdu,Sichuan Province,China were conducted.Low-N stress significantly decreased chlorophyll content and rapid light response curves of the maximum fluorescence under light(Fm′),fluorescence instable state(Fs),non-photochemical quenching(qN),the maximum efficiency of PSII photochemistry under dark-adaption(Fv/Fm),potential activity of PSII(Fv/Fo),and actual photochemical efficiency of PSII(ΦPSII)of leaves.Further,it increased the chlorophyll(Chl)a/Chl b values and so on.The light compensation point of ZH311 decreased,while that of XY508 increased.The degree of variation of these indices in low-N tolerant cultivars was lower than that in low-N sensitive cultivars,especially at the seedling stage.Maize could increase Chl a/Chl b,apparent quantum yield and light saturation point to adapt to N stress.Compared to low-N sensitive cultivars,low-N tolerant cultivars maintained a higher net photosynthetic rate and electron transport rate to maintain stronger PSII activity,which further promoted the ability to harvest and transfer light.This might be a photosynthetic mechanism by which low-N tolerant cultivar adapt to low-N stress.WU Ya-wei LI Qiang JIN Rong CHEN Wei LIU Xiao-lin KONG Fan-lei KE Yong-pei SHI Haichun YUAN Ji-chao 2019Journal of Integrative Agriculture2019,18,6:25

3Crop 3D a LiDAR based platform for 3D high-throughput crop phenotyping显示文摘With the growing population and the reducing arable land, breeding has been considered as an effective way to solve the food crisis.As an important part in breeding, high-throughput phenotyping can accelerate the breeding process effectively. Light detection and ranging(LiDAR) is an active remote sensing technology that is capable of acquiring three-dimensional(3 D) data accurately,and has a great potential in crop phenotyping. Given that crop phenotyping based on LiDAR technology is not common in China,we developed a high-throughput crop phenotyping platform, named Crop 3 D, which integrated LiDAR sensor, high-resolution camera, thermal camera and hyperspectral imager. Compared with traditional crop phenotyping techniques, Crop 3 D can acquire multi-source phenotypic data in the whole crop growing period and extract plant height, plant width, leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, leaf inclination angle and other parameters for plant biology and genomics analysis. In this paper, we described the designs,functions and testing results of the Crop 3 D platform, and briefly discussed the potential applications and future development of the platform in phenotyping. 7基于社会生态模型的我国大学生体育生活化促进机制研究显示文摘大学生体育生活化促进机制研究,是我国大学生体育生活化研究的核心环节,是构建大学生体育生活化路径的前提。社会生态模型用于影响因素研究更具实用性和科学性。通过文献梳理和专家访谈,从个体、社会和环境3个层面构建我国大学生体育生活化社会生态模型,有助于解释、分析和预测大学生体育生活化促进机制。个体层面包括大学生体育兴趣、大学生体育价值和大学生体育自我效能;社会层面包括社会支持、传统文化和媒体支持;环境层面包括气候条件、体育设施和体育政策。实证研究得出:(1)大学生体育生活化不仅受到大学生个体因素影响,还受大学生所处环境影响;(2)大学生体育兴趣、体育政策、社会支持和气候条件对大学生体育生活化产生直接影响;(3)其他因子分别通过大学生体育兴趣、大学生体育价值或大学生体育自我效能对大学生体育生活化产生间接影响。相关建议:(1)大学体育要融合多部门,考虑多因素;(2)大学体育要回归体育本身、身体本身和生活本身以促进大学生体育直接兴趣;(3)大学体育要贯通中小学体育、融入社会体育,以促进大学生间接体育兴趣。黄美蓉 张艳平 SUN Haichun 2019天津体育学院学报2019,34,1:9
8Preliminary elemental analysis of fossil insects from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia and its taphonomic implications显示文摘Fossil insects from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia were investigated using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for the first time, and portions and distribution of some elements in com-pression and pyrited fossils were also revealed by X-ray Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) at-tached to SEM. Most of compression fossil insects from the Daohugou Biota are preserved in organic remains (diagenetic products of the original organic components). A small part of compression fossils retain a comparatively high Fe concentration which probably resulted from the absorption of Fe by biopolymers during the decaying period. Pyritized insect fossils suggest that the 'fossil envelop' model found in the Early Cretaceous Jehol Biota probably also occurs in the Daohugou Biota. 9Evolution of insect diversity in the Jehol Biota显示文摘Insects of the Jehol Biota,also known as the Jehol Entomofauna,can be divided into three phases,approximately corresponding to the early,middle,and late Jehol Biota.The early phase of the entomofauna is found in the Dabeigou Formation and its coeval horizons(ca.135-130 Ma).The middle phase is recorded from the lower-middle Yixian Formation(underlying the Jingangshan Bed) and its coeval strata(ca.130-122.5 Ma).The late phase is found in the lower Jiufotang Formation,the upper Yixian Formation(the Jingangshan and Huanghuashan beds) and their coeval horizons(ca.122.5-120 Ma).In major distribution areas of the Jehol Biota,the entomofauna changed greatly in species diversity with about 150 species in about 40 families and 11 orders in the early phase,a great increase up to about 500 species in about 100 families and 16 orders in the middle phase,and a decline to about 300 species in about 80 families and 14 orders in the late phase.The entomofauna can also be divided into four insect communities based on habitats or five insect groups based on feeding habits.Each community or group varied in species diversity in a similar trend to the whole entomofauna.However,it kept a comparatively stable position in the ecosystem.Of the four communities,the highest species diversity occurred in the forest community,followed by the aquatic,the soil,and the alpine communities.Of the five groups,the highest species diversity appeared in the phytophagous group,followed by the carnivorous,the parasitic,the saprophagous,and the heterophagous groups.ZHANG HaiChun*,WANG Bo & FANG Yan State Key Laboratory of Palaeobiology and Stratigraphy,Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Nanjing 210008,China 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,12:7
10by a cascade optical field modulation strategy facilitating selective multispectral narrow-band near-infrared photodetection显示文摘Since selective detection of multiple narrow spectral bands in the near-infrared(NIR)region still poses a fundamental challenge,we have,in this work,developed NIR photodetectors(PDs)using photon upconversion nanocrystals(UCNCs)combined with perovskite films.To conquer the relatively high pumping threshold of UCNCs,we designed a novel cascade optical field modulation strategy to boost upconversion luminescence(UCL)by cascading the superlensing effect of dielectric microlens arrays and the plasmonic effect of gold nanorods,which readily leads to a UCL enhancement by more than four orders of magnitude under weak light irradiation.By accommodating multiple optically active lanthanide ions in a core-shell-shell hierarchical architecture,developed PDs on top of this structure can detect three well-separated narrow bands in the NIR region,i.e.,those centered at 808,980,and 1540 nm.Due to the large UCL enhancement,the obtained PDs demonstrate extremely high responsivities of 30.73,23.15,and 12.20 AW^(−1) and detectivities of 5.36,3.45,and 1.91×10^(11) Jones for 808,980,and 1540 nm light detection,respectively,together with short response times in the range of 80-120 ms.Moreover,we demonstrate for the first time that the response to the excitation modulation frequency of a PD can be employed to discriminate the incident light wavelength.We believe that our work provides novel insight for developing NIR PDs and that it can spur the development of other applications using upconversion nanotechnology.Yanan Ji Wen Xu Nan Ding Haitao Yang Hongwei Song Qingyun Liu Hans Agren Jerker Widengren Haichun Liu 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:6

12Health-related fitness knowledge growth in middle school years:Individual-and school-level correlates显示文摘Background:Health-related fitness knowledge(HRFK)has been an essential concept for many health and physical education programs.There has been limited understanding and longitudinal investigation on HRFK growth.This longitudinal study examined HRFK growth and its individual-and school-level correlates in middle school years under 1 curriculum condition:Five for Life.Methods:Participants were 12,044 students from 47 middle schools.Data were collected at both individual/participant and school/institution levels.Individual-level variables included gender,grade,and HRFK test scores.School-level variables included percentage of students receiving free and reduced meals(FARM),student-to-faculty ratio for physical education,and school academic performance(SAP).We used hierarchical linear modeling to examine HRFK 3-year growth in relation to individual-and school-level correlates.Results:The average HRFK score at 6th grade for females was 42.81%±1.32%.The predicted HRFK growth was 17.06%±1.02%per year,holding other factors constant.A 1-standard deviation increase in FARM correlated with a 14.68%-point decrease in predicted test score(p=0.02).A 1-standard deviation increase in SAP was associated with an 11.90%-point increase in HRFK score.Males had a significantly lower growth rate than females during the middle school years(0.78%/year,p=0.02).Conclusion:The result showed that both individual-and school-level variables such as gender,FARM,and SAP influenced HRFK growth.Educators should heed gender differences in growth curves and recognize the correlates of school-level variables.Xihe Zhu Justin A.Haegele Haichun Sun 2020Journal of Sport and Health Science2020,9,6:5

16Non-dormant Axillary Bud 1 regulates axillary bud outgrowth in sorghum显示文摘Tillering contributes to grain yield and plant architecture and therefore is an agronomically important trait in sorghum(Sorghum bicolor).Here,we identified and functionally characterized a mutant of the Nondormant Axillary Bud 1(NAB1)gene from an ethyl methanesulfonate-mutagenized sorghum population.The nab1 mutants have increased tillering and reduced plant height.Map-based cloning revealed that NAB1encodes a carotenoid-cleavage dioxygenase 7(CCD7)orthologous to rice(Oryza sativa)HIGH-TILLERING DWARF1/DWARF17 and Arabidopsis thaliana MORE AXILLARY BRANCHING 3.NAB1 is primarily expressed in axillary nodes and tiller bases and NAB1 localizes to chloroplasts.The nab1 mutation causes outgrowth of basal axillary buds;removing these non-dormant basal axillary buds restored the wild-type phenotype.The tillering of nab1 plants was completely suppressed by exogenous application of the synthetic strigolactone analog GR24.Moreover,the nab1plants had no detectable strigolactones and displayed stronger polar auxin transport than wild-type plants.Finally,RNA-seq showed that the expression of genes involved in multiple processes,including auxin-related genes,was significantly altered in nab1.These results suggest that NAB1 functions in strigolactone biosynthesis and the regulation of shoot branching via an interaction with auxin transport.Jun Chen Limin Zhang Mengjiao Zhu Lijie Han Ya Lv Yishan Liu Pan Li Haichun Jing Hongwei Cai 2018Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,10:3

20Correlates of long-term physical activity adherence in women显示文摘Background: Little is known about the factors that may influence women's adherence to moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) using longitudinal data. The purpose of this study was to examine the correlates of long-term physical activity(PA) participation among women.Methods: Female data from Waves I, III, and IV(n = 5381) of the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health(Add Health) were used for the analysis. The outcome of PA adherence was operationalized as(1) consistently physically active(at least 5 instances during the week)in both Waves III and IV(during adulthood), and(2) consistently not physically active or only physically active in either Wave III or IV. Predictor variables from Wave I(during adolescence) included race/ethnicity, PA level, self-perception of being physically fit, general health status, attempt to change weight, parents' income level, parents' education, well-being, depression, access to PA resources, days of physical education(PE), and grade level. Crude and adjusted logistic regression models were utilized to estimate the adjusted odds ratio(a OR) and 95% confidence interval(95%CI) for the outcome variable.Results: PA levels during adolescence significantly predicted PA adherence(a OR = 1.67, 95%CI: 1.35–2.05). Additionally, wanting to lose weight(a OR = 1.49, 95%CI: 1.20–1.85), using fitness center in the neighborhood(a OR = 1.29, 95%CI: 1.05–1.58), and having 5 days of PE a week(a OR = 1.48, 95%CI: 1.09–2.02) were significant predictors. Women who did not perceive being physically fit(a OR = 0.65, 95%CI: 0.44–0.95)and Black, non-Hispanics(a OR = 0.60, 95%CI: 0.44–0.82) were less likely to adhere to PA.Conclusion: The findings suggested that physically active adolescents were more likely to become active adults. Future research should address interventions(e.g., PE program, community resources) that may promote lifetime PA in women, with the goal of decreasing morbidity and mortality.Haichun Sun Cheryl A.
