1X-ray scintillation in lead-free double perovskite crystals显示文摘Metal halide perovskites have shown great performance for various applications,including solar cells,light emitting diodes,and radiation detectors,but they still suffer from the toxicity of lead and instability.Here we report the use of lanthanide series as trivalent metals to obtain low toxicity and highly stable double perovskites(Cs_2NaLnCl_6,Ln=Tb or Eu)with high scintillation light yield.The crystals exhibit typical f-f transitions of lanthanide cations,while Cs_2NaTbCl_6exhibits strong green photoluminescence,and Cs_2NaEuCl_6exhibits red photoluminescence.Under X-ray radiations,the light yield of Cs_2NaTbCl_6reaches46600 photons MeV^(-1),much higher than that of the commercially used(Lu,Y)_2SiO_5:Ce^(3+)crystals(LYSO,28500 photons MeV^(-1)),and previously reported lead-based perovskites(14000 photons MeV^(-1)).As a new member of lead-free perovskites,lanthanide-based double perovskites open up a new route toward radiation detections and potential medical imaging.Qingsong Hu Zhenzhou Deng Manchen Hu Anjiang Zhao Yaqi Zhang Zhifang Tan Guangda Niu Haodi Wu Jiang Tang 2018Science China Chemistry2018,61,12:7
2Morphogenesis of T-tubules in heart cells: the role of junctophilin-2显示文摘The T-tubule (TT) system forms the structural basis for excitation-contraction coupling in heart and muscle cells. The morphogenesis of the TT system is a key step in the maturation of heart cells because it does not exist in neonatal cardiomyocytes. In the present study, we quantified the morphological changes in TTs during heart cell maturation and investigated the role of junctophilin-2 (JP2), a protein known to anchor the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) to TT, in changes to TT morphological parameters. Analysis of confocal images showed that the transverse elements of TTs increased, while longitudinal elements decreased during the maturation of TTs. Fourier transform analysis showed that the power of ~2 m spatial components increased with cardiomyocytes maturation. These changes were preceded by increased expression of JP2, and were reversed by JP2 knockdown. 4Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite scintillators for mixed field radiation detection显示文摘Sensitive and fast detection of neutrons and gamma rays is vital for homeland security,high-energy physics,and proton therapy.Fast-neutron detectors rely on light organic scintillators,andγ-ray detectors use heavy inorganic scintillators and semiconductors.Efficient mixed-field detection using a single material is highly challenging due to their contradictory requirements.Here we report hybrid perovskites(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)that combine light organic cations and heavy inorganic skeletons at a molecular level to achieve unprecedented performance for mixed-field radiation detection.High neutron absorption due to a high density of hydrogen,strong radiative recombination within the highly confined[PbX_(6)]^(4-)layer,and sub-nanometer distance between absorption sites and radiative centers,enable a light yield of 41000 photons/MeV,detection pulse width of 2.97 ns and extraordinary linearity response toward both fast neutrons andγ-rays,outperforming commonly used fast-neutron scintillators.Neutron energy spectrum,time-of-flight based fast-neutron/γ-ray discrimination and neutron yield monitoring were all successfully achieved using(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)detectors.We further demonstrate the monitoring of reaction kinetics and total power of a nuclear fusion reaction.We envision that molecular hybridized scintillators open a new avenue for mixed-field radiation detection and imaging.Mengling Xia Guangda Niu Linyue Liu Runlong Gao Tong Jin Pengying Wan Weicheng Pan Xianpeng Zhang Zuoxiang Xie Sam Teale Zenghua Cai Jiajun Luo Shan Zhao Haodi Wu Shiyou Chen Zhiping Zheng Qingguo Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Edward HSargent Jiang Tang 2022InfoMat2022,4,9:2
5Off-hour effect is not significant in endovascular treatment for anterior circulation large vessel occlusion in a multicentre registry显示文摘Background and purpose Whether the off-hour effect has an impact on workflow and outcomes of endovascular treatment(EVT)for anterior circulation large vessel occlusion(AC-LVO)remains uncertain.This study aimed to compare the characteristics and outcomes of patients who presented or were treated during off-hour versus on-hour in a multi-center registry.Methods AC-LVO patients from 21 centres were categorised into the off-hour group and the on-hour group.Off-hour(weekends,holidays,and 18:00-7:59 on weekdays)and on-hour(8:00-17:59 on weekdays except for holidays)were defined according to arrival and groin-puncture time points,respectively.Subgroup comparisons between patients both arrived and treated during off-hour(true off-hour)and on-hour(true on-hour)were performed.The primary outcome was the 90-day modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score.Secondary outcomes included favourable outcome(mRS 0-2 at 90 days),EVT-related time metrics,and other clinical outcomes.Ordinary and binary logistic regression and linear regression were taken to adjust for confounding factors.Results Of all 698 patients enrolled,435(62.3%)and 456(65.3%)patients were categorised into the off-hour arrival and off-hour puncture group,respectively.Shorter onset to door time(adjustedßcoefficient:−21.56;95%CI−39.96 to−3.16;p=0.022)was noted in the off-hour arrival group.Ordinal and dichotomous mRS scores at 90 days were comparable between the off-hour group and the on-hour group regardless of off-hour definitions.Other time metrics and outcomes were comparable between the two groups.Of 595 patients both presented and were treated during off-hour or on-hour,394 patients were categorised into the true off-hour group and 201 into the true on-hour group.Time metrics and clinical outcomes were similar between the true off-hour and the true on-hour group.Conclusions The off-hour effect was not significant regarding clinical outcomes and in-hospital workflow in AC-LVO patients receiving EVT in this Chinese multicentre registry.Mingming Zha Qingwen Yang Shuo Liu Kangmo Huang Xiaohao Zhang Min Wu Haodi Cai Qiushi Lv Rui Liu Dong Yang Xinfeng Liu 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4:1
6Vertical matrix perovskite X-ray detector for effective multi-energy discrimination显示文摘Multi-energy X-ray detection is sought after for a wide range of applications including medical imaging,security checking and industrial flaw inspection.Perovskite X-ray detectors are superior in terms of high sensitivity and low detection limit,which lays a foundation for multi-energy discrimination.However,the extended capability of the perovskite detector for multi-energy X-ray detection is challenging and has never been reported.Herein we report the design of vertical matrix perovskite X-ray detectors for multi-energy detection,based on the attenuation behavior of X-ray within the detector and machine learning algorithm.This platform is independent of the complex X-ray source components that constrain the energy discrimination capability.We show that the incident X-ray spectra could be accurately reconstructed from the conversion matrix and measured photocurrent response.Moreover,the detector could produce a set of images containing the density-graded information under single exposure,and locate the concealed position for all low-,medium-and high-density substances.Our findings suggest a new generation of X-ray detectors with features of multi-energy discrimination,density differentiation,and contrast-enhanced imaging.Jincong Pang Shan Zhao Xinyuan Du Haodi Wu Guangda Niu Jiang Tang 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:0
7Dark current modeling of thick perovskite X‑ray detectors显示文摘Metal halide perovskites(MHPs)have demonstrated excellent performances in detection of X-rays and gamma-rays.Most studies focus on improving the sensitivity of single-pixel MHP detectors.However,little work pays attention to the dark current,which is crucial for the back-end circuit integration.Herein,the requirement of dark current is quantitatively evaluated as low as 10^(−9)A/cm^(2)for X-ray imagers integrated on pixel circuits.Moreover,through the semiconductor device analysis and simulation,we reveal that the main current compositions of thick perovskite X-ray detectors are the thermionic-emission current(J_(T))and the generation-recombination current(J_(g-r)).The typical observed failures of p-n junctions in thick detectors are caused by the high generation-recombination current due to the band mismatch and interface defects.This work provides a deep insight into the design of high sensitivity and low dark current perovskite X-ray detectors.Shan Zhao Xinyuan Du Jincong Pang Haodi Wu Zihao Song Zhiping Zheng Ling Xu Jiang Tang Guangda Niu 2022Frontiers of Optoelectronics2022,15,4:0
