1MOFs-Based Nitric Oxide Therapy for Tendon Regeneration显示文摘Tendon regeneration is still a great challenge due to its avascular structure and low self-renewal capability.The nitric oxide(NO)therapy emerges as a promising treatment for inducing the regeneration of injured tendon by angiogenesis.Here,in this study,a system that NO-loaded metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)encapsulated in polycaprolactone(PCL)/gelatin(Gel)aligned coaxial scaffolds(NMPGA)is designed and prepared for tendon repair.In this system,NO is able to be released in vitro at a slow and stable average speed of 1.67 nM h^−1 as long as 15 d without a burst release stage in the initial 48 h.Furthermore,NMPGA can not only improve the tubular formation capability of endothelial cells in vitro but also obviously increase the blood perfusion near the injured tendon in vivo,leading to accelerating the maturity of collagen and recovery of biomechanical strength of the regenerated tendon tissue.As a NO-loaded MOFs therapeutic system,NMPGA can promote tendon regeneration in a shorter healing period with better biomechanical properties in comparison with control group by angiogenesis.Therefore,this study not only provides a promising scaffold for tendon regeneration,but also paves a new way to develop a NO-based therapy for biomedical application in the future.Jun Chen Dandan Sheng Ting Ying Haojun Zhao Jian Zhang Yunxia Li He Xu Shiyi Chen 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2:1

3Methods for determination of plasticizer migration from polyvinyl chloride synthetic materials: a mini review显示文摘Plasticizer migration is responsible for premature coating failure in polyvinyl chloride(PVC)synthetic materials that continue to benefit our daily life as a reliable and cost-efficient simulant of genuine leather.In this context,the establishment of standard assays that measure the migration rate of plasticizers under varying scenarios plays a pivotal role in comparing durability of those PVC-derived leather-simulants.In this review,multiple methodologies developed over the last decade for determining plasticizer migration from PVC coating are compiled,with their operational principles,merits,and limitations being taken into consideration along with specific apparatus required for each.A concluding section discusses current challenges in this field,and highlights how nuclear magnetic resonance and computational simulation surpass conventional assays in yielding intercomparable results,and hence screening migration-resistant plasticizers in a labor-and time-saving way.Since migration resistance represents a decisive performance indicator of plasticizers,this systematic review may provide guidance to quite a few practitioners in PVC synthetic material industry,who are now engaged in validating various sustainable alternatives with performance allegedly equal to conventional but toxic di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate plasticizer.Yi Chen Shuai Zhou Siyu Pan Dongfang Zhao Jianshe Wei Minzhong Zhao Haojun Fan 2022Journal of Leather Science and Engineering2022,4,1:0
4Functional non-glutaraldehyde treated porcine pericardium for anti-coagulation,anti-calcification,and endothelial proliferation bioprosthetic heart valves显示文摘In the last decade,the number of transcatheter heart valve replacement for severe heart valve disease has increased exponentially.Although the bioprosthetic artificial heart valve(BHV)has similar fluid dynamics performance to the original heart valve compared with mechanical heart valve so that there is no need to take long-term anticoagulant drugs to prevent thromboembolism,transcatheter BHV replacement are still at risk for thrombosis during the first few months according to the clinical data.However,the use of antithrombotic drugs can also increase the risk of bleeding.Therefore,it is particularly important to improve the anticoagulant properties for the BHV itself.In this work,a kind of non-glutaraldehyde cross-linked BHV material with excellent antithrombotic ability has been prepared from carboxylated oxazolidine treated porcine pericardium(consisting of collagen,elastin and glycoprotein)with the further graft of the anticoagulant heparin sodium via hydrophilic modified chitosan.Along with the similar mechanical properties and collagen stability comparable to the glutaraldehyde cross-linked porcine pericardium(PP),these functional non-glutaraldehyde cross-linked PPs exhibit better biocompatibility,promoted endothelial proliferation and superior anti-calcification ability.More importantly,excellent anticoagulant activity can be observed in the hematological experiments in vivo and in vitro.In summary,these excellent performances make these functional non-glutaraldehyde cross-linked PPs great potentialities in the BHV applications.Xiaotong Chen Tao Yu Qunshou Kong Dajun Kuang Hong Xu Zhiyu Zhao Li Yang Gaocan Li Haojun Fan Yunbing Wang 2022Journal of Leather Science and Engineering2022,4,1:0
5A Study on the Impact of Cheerleading on the Psychological Health of Female College Students显示文摘This study investigates the effects of technical cheerleading and dance cheerleading on the psychological health of female college students by utilizing the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),the Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale for Interpersonal Relationships,and the Social Adaptability Diagnostic Scale.The findings indicate the following:(1)Technical cheerleading has a highly significant impact on sensitivity in interpersonal relationships,paranoia,and psychoticism,and a significant effect on anxiety and hostility;dance cheerleading has a highly significant effect on paranoia;(2)Both technical and dance cheerleading have minimal impact on the overall score distribution of interpersonal relationships among female college students,but the dimensions of their effects differ;(3)The impact of technical cheerleading on the social adaptability of female college students is more pronounced than that of dance cheerleading.Haojun Zhao Seong Pek Lim Zhuozhuo Xin 2024Journal of Contemporary Educational Research2024,8,3:0
6The Impact of Sports Games on the Psychological Health of Middle School Students显示文摘This study conducted a 16-week comparative experiment with 160 students from Jinan No.5 Middle School in Shandong Province as the experimental subjects.During the implementation of the experiment,the subjects were divided into two groups:an experimental group and a control group.The experimental group was subjected to physical exercise interventions using sports game teaching methods during physical education class,while the control group followed traditional physical education teaching methods.The results showed that the psychological health status of the students in the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group after the experiment.The application of sports games helps to improve the psychological health of middle school students in the course of physical education,promoting a positive and forward direction in student psychology and is an effective means to enhance the psychological health level of middle school students.Zhuozhuo Xin Seong Pek Lim Haojun Zhao 2024Journal of Contemporary Educational Research2024,8,3:0
7Activation of NRF2 by celastrol increases antioxidant functions and prevents the progression of osteoarthritis in mice显示文摘Excessive oxidative stress impairs cartilage matrix metabolism balance,significantly contributing to osteoarthritis(OA)development.Celastrol(CSL),a drug derived from Tripterygium wilfordii,has recognized applications in the treatment of cancer and immune system disorders,yet its antioxidative stress mechanisms in OA remain underexplored.This study aimed to substantiate CSL’s chondroprotective effects and unravel its underlying mechanisms.We investigated CSL’s impact on chondrocytes under both normal and inflammatory conditions.In vitro,CSL mitigated interleukin(IL)-1β-induced activation of proteinases and promoted cartilage extracellular matrix(ECM)synthesis.In vivo,intra-articular injection of CSL ameliorated cartilage degeneration and mitigated subchondral bone lesions in OA mice.Mechanistically,it was found that inhibiting nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2)abrogated CSL-mediated antioxidative functions and exacerbated the progression of OA.This study is the first to elucidate the role of CSL in the treatment of OA through the activation of NRF2,offering a novel therapeutic avenue for arthritis therapy.LIU Mingming GUO Jiatian ZHAO Jing LI Hongye FENG Xiaoxiao LIU Haojun ZHANG Hao JIA Xuejun WEI Rushuai LI Fang CHEN Chong HOU Mingzhuang LV Nanning XU Haiyan 2024Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2024,22,2:0
