1Molecular simulation of oligomer inhibitors for calcite scale显示文摘Molecular simulation was performed to study the interaction between CaCO3 crystal and several oligomer inhibitors, by using the equilibrium morphology method to calculate the growth morphology of CaCO3 without inhibitors. The calculated morphology agreed well with SEM photographs. Then, a double-layer model was built to investigate the interaction between calcite crystal and oligomer inhibitors containing maleic anhydride (MA) and acrylic acid (AA). Interaction energy per gram of an oligomer inhibitor was introduced as a scale of inhibition efficiency of different monomers. The results indicated that, for calcite scale inhibition, acrylamide (AM) and vinyl phosphonic acid (VPA) were the most efficient monomers, while allylsulfonic acid (AS) was the poorest. Increasing proportion of AM in dimer inhibitor molecule would improve the inhibition efficiency of MA, though, for a trimer, such as MA-AA-AM, certain sequence of monomers in the inhibitor molecule was necessary besides higher proportion of AM.Qiuyu Zhang Hua Ren Wenwen Wang Junping Zhang Hepeng Zhang 2012Particuology2012,10,3:11
2Enhancing the leaching effect of an ion-absorbed rare earth ore by ameliorating the seepage effect with sodium dodecyl sulfate surfactant显示文摘Ameliorating the problem of low leaching efficiency,long leaching period,and high agent consumption should be studied to efficiently exploit ion-absorbed rare earth ore resources.In this study,the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) is used to enhance the leaching effect of an ion-absorbed rare earth ore by ameliorating the seepage effect for the first time.The effects of surfactant concentration,leaching agent dosage,solution flow velocity,and solution pH on the leaching rate were explored,and the mechanism of SDS was discussed.Under the optimum conditions,the addition of a small amount of SDS(mass fraction0.04%) can increase the leaching rate by about 5%,shorten the leaching period,and reduce the consumption of the leaching agent.SDS significantly ameliorates the seepage effect of the ore body by reducing the surface tension of the leaching agent and ameliorating the wettability of the mineral surface.This effect is the main factor that improves the leaching efficiency.DFT(density functional theory) calculation results show that SDS can react with rare earth ions,which reduces the adsorption strength on clay mineral surfaces.Hence,rare earth ions are easily exchanged by ammonium ions,and mass transfer is enhanced.Yongbing Zhang Boyuan Zhang Siqi Yang Zhigang Zhong Hepeng Zhou Xianping Luo 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,6:8
3Spatial and seasonal variability of CO_2 flux at the air-water interface of the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘Difusive carbon dioxide(CO2) emissions from the water surface of the Three Gorges Reservoir, currently the largest hydroelectric reservoir in the world, were measured using floating static chambers over the course of a yearlong survey. The results showed that the average annual CO2 flux was(163.3 ± 117.4) mg CO2/(m2·hr) at the reservoir surface, which was larger than the CO2 flux in most boreal and temperate reservoirs but lower than that in tropical reservoirs. Significant spatial variations in CO2 flux were observed at four measured sites, with the largest flux measured at Wushan(221.9 mg CO2/(m2·hr)) and the smallest flux measured at Zigui(88.6 mg CO2/(m2·hr)); these diferences were probably related to the average water velocities at diferent sites. Seasonal variations in CO2 flux were also observed at four sites, starting to increase in January, continuously rising until peaking in the summer(June-August) and gradually decreasing thereafter. Seasonal variations in CO2 flux could reflect seasonal dynamics in pH, water velocity,and temperature. 4A Stochastic Programming Strategy in Microgrid Cyber Physical Energy System for Energy Optimal Operation显示文摘This paper focuses on the energy optimal operation problem of microgrids(MGs) under stochastic environment.The deterministic method of MGs operation is often uneconomical because it fails to consider the high randomness of unconventional energy resources.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a novel operation approach combining the uncertainty in the physical world with modeling strategy in the cyber system.This paper proposes an energy scheduling optimization strategy based on stochastic programming model by considering the uncertainty in MGs.The goal is to minimize the expected operation cost of MGs.The uncertainties are modeled based on autoregressive moving average(ARMA) model to expose the effects of physical world on cyber world.Through the comparison of the simulation results with deterministic method,it is shown that the effectiveness and robustness of proposed stochastic energy scheduling optimization strategy for MGs are valid.Hepeng Li Chuanzhi Zang Peng Zeng Haibin Yu Zhongwen Li 2015IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2015,2,3:7
5Preparation of SiO_2/TiO_2 Janus particles by electrostatic assembly,hydrolysis and calcination显示文摘This paper describes a novel chemical method for preparing SiO_2/TiO_2 Janus particles.First,polystyrene(PSt)/SiO_2 particles with a raspberry-like structure are prepared by electrostatic assembly.The influences of the reaction time of sulfonation and the treatment times of polyelectrolyte solutions(PDADMAC,PSS)on PSt and SiO_2 are investigated with respect to the surface charge density of the particles.SiO_2/TiO_2 Janus particles are then obtained by hydrolysis of butyl titanate on the surface of PSt/SiO_2 particles followed by a calcination process.Particle size analyzer,Zeta potential instrument,FTIR,TEM and SEM are used to characterize the particle size,the amount of charge on the surface of PSt and SiO_2 particles and the compositions and morphologies of PSt/SiO_2,SiO_2/TiO_2 and PSt/SiO_2/TiO_2.The diameters of the PSt,SiO_2,PSt/SiO_2 and SiO_2/TiO_2 particles are 2.0 μm,303 nm,2.7 μm and 330nm,respectively.Baoliang Zhang Qiuyu Zhang Hepeng Zhang Xinlong Fan Dezhong Yin Xiangjie Li Wei Li 2013Particuology2013,11,5:6

7Pore structure characterization and seepage analysis of ionic rare earth orebodies based on computed tomography images显示文摘Pore network structure of ore body is a diffusion channel of leaching agent solution that exerts a significant influence on seepage.The ore body structure,pore distribution,pore and throat size,and pore network characteristics of topsoil,weathered,and semiweathered layers of ionic rare earth ore in southern Jiangxi Province were explored in this study.The effect of leaching operation on the pore structure was investigated,and main factors affecting the seepage were analyzed.Results showed that the semiweathered layer presents a dense structure and a small number of unconnected pores.Pores of topsoil and weathered layers are mainly long and narrow column openings with some planar fractures.Even pore distribution and large size span were observed.Compared with the weathered layer,the topsoil layer demonstrates larger voids,smaller average pore volume and equivalent radius,and fewer coordination throats;however,the average equivalent radius of the throat in the topsoil layer is larger and largescale channels exist through ore body vertically.Hence,permeability of the topsoil layer is significantly higher than that of the weathered layer.Colloidal clay minerals migrate easily and the occurrence of silting in the small porosity blocks the throat and significantly decreases the permeability of the ore body in the leaching process.The equivalent radius of the throat is the key to the seepage.Reducing the migration of fine particles is an effective measure to protect the throat and shorten the leaching period.Xianping Luo Yongbing Zhang Hepeng Zhou Kunzhong He Boyuan Zhang Dongming Zhang Weijing Xiao 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:5

9MAS Based Distributed Automatic Generation Control for Cyber-Physical Microgrid System显示文摘The microgrid is a typical cyber-physical microgrid system(CPMS). The physical unconventional distributed generators(DGs) are intermittent and inverter-interfaced which makes them very different to control. The cyber components,such as the embedded computer and communication network,are equipped with DGs, to process and transmit the necessary information for the controllers. In order to ensure system-wide observability, controllability and stabilization for the microgrid,the cyber and physical component need to be integrated. For the physical component of CPMS, the droop-control method is popular as it can be applied in both modes of operation to improve the grid transient performance. Traditional droop control methods have the drawback of the inherent trade-off between power sharing and voltage and frequency regulation. In this paper, the global information(such as the average voltage and the output active power of the microgrid and so on) are acquired distributedly based on multi-agent system(MAS). Based on the global information from cyber components of CPMS, automatic generation control(AGC) and automatic voltage control(AVC)are proposed to deal with the drawback of traditional droop control. 10Fermentation of xylose to produce ethanol by recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain containing XYLA and XKS1显示文摘Fermentation of the pentose sugar xylose to produce ethanol using lignocellulosic biomass would make bioethanol production economically more competitive. Sac- charomyce cerevisise, an efficient ethanol producer, cannot utilize xylose because it lacks the ability to convert xylose to its isomer xylulose. In this study, XYLA gene encoding xylose isomerase (XI) from Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis MB4T and XKS1 gene encoding xylulokinase (XK) from Pichia stipitis were cloned and functionally coexpressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae EF-326 to construct a recombinant xylose-utilizing strain. The resulting strain S. cerevisiae EF 1014 not only grew on xylose as sole carbon source, but also produced ethanol under anaerobic conditions. Fermentations performed with different xylose concentrations at different temperatures demonstrated that the highest ethanol produc- tivity was 0.11 g/g xylose when xylose concentration was pro- vided at 50 g/L. Under this condition, 28.4% of xylose was consumed and 1.54 g/L xylitol was formed. 11Precipitation Microphysical Processes in the Inner Rainband of Tropical Cyclone Kajiki (2019) over the South China Sea Revealed by Polarimetric Radar显示文摘Polarimetric radar and 2D video disdrometer observations provide new insights into the precipitation microphysical processes and characteristics in the inner rainband of tropical cyclone(TC)Kajiki(2019)in the South China Sea for the first time.The precipitation of Kajiki is dominated by high concentrations and small(<3 mm)raindrops,which contribute more than 98%to the total precipitation.The average mass-weighted mean diameter and logarithmic normalized intercept are 1.49 mm and 4.47,respectively,indicating a larger mean diameter and a lower concentration compared to the TCs making landfall in eastern China.The ice processes of the inner rainband are dramatically different among different stages.The riming process is dominant during the mature stage,while during the decay stage the aggregation process is dominant.The vertical profiles of the polarimetric radar variables together with ice and liquid water contents in the convective region indicate that the formation of precipitation is dominated by warm-rain processes.Large raindrops collect cloud droplets and other raindrops,causing reflectivity,differential reflectivity,and specific differential phase to increase with decreasing height.That is,accretion and coalescence play a critical role in the formation of heavy rainfall.The melting of different particles generated by the ice process has a great influence on the initial raindrop size distribution(DSD)to further affect the warm-rain processes.The DSD above heavy rain with the effect of graupel has a wider spectral width than the region without the effect of graupel.Hepeng ZHENG Yun ZHANG Lifeng ZHANG Hengchi LEI Zuhang WU 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,1:3

14Over-expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha increases an-giogenesis of LNCaP cells显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the effect of HIF-1 αover-expression on angiogenesis in human prostate cancer cells. Methods:LNCaP cells(a human prostate cancer cell line) were transfected with the recombinant plasmid pcDNA3.1( -)-HIF-1αwith Lipo-fectamine 2000 system. The positive clones were selected by G418 being further confirmed by Western blot and immunofluores-cence. The expression levels of VEGF, iNOS and Ang-Ⅱ were determined. Results: The expression of HIF-1αin the LNCaP/HIF1αcells was significantly increased in transfected cells, which induced the up-regulation of VEGF, iNOS, whereas Ang-Ⅱexpression remained un- changed. 15Key synthesis of magnetic Janus nanoparticles using a modified facile method显示文摘Inorganic/organic poly(methylmethacrylate-acrylic acid-divinylbenzene) iron oxide Janus magnetic nanoparticles(P(MMA-AA-DVB)/Fe_3O_4) with strong magnetic domains and unique surface functionalities were prepared using a solvothermal process.The P(MMA-AA-DVB) nanoparticles were prepared via soapfree emulsion polymerization and used as a precursor for preparing Janus nanoparticles.The morphology and magnetic properties of the magnetic Janus nanoparticles formed were characterized using a laser particle size analyzer,transmission electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,vibrating sample magnetometry,and thermogravimetric analysis.The synthesized P(MMA-AA-DVB)/Fe_3O_4 magnetic Janus nanoparticles were characterized by a Janus structure and possessed a stable asymmetric morphology after being dually functionalized.The particle size,magnetic content,and magnetic domain of the P(MMA-AA-DVB)/Fe_3O_4 magnetic Janus nanoparticles were 200 nm,40%,and 25 emu/g,respectively.The formation mechanism of the Janus nanoparticles was also investigated,and the results revealed that the reduction of Fe^(3+) ions and growth of Fe_3O_4 took place on the surface of the P(MMA-AA-DVB) polymeric precursor particles.The size of the Janus particles could be controlled by narrowing the size distribution of the P(MMA-AA-DVB) precursor nanoparticles.Nisar Ali Baoliang Zhang Hepeng Zhang Wajed Zaman Wei Li Qiuyu Zhang 2014Particuology2014,12,6:2

20Insights into the floatability between spodumene and albite from crystal chemistry standpoint显示文摘Spodumene is a silicate mineral rich in lithium.However,the gangue mineral,albite has similar crystal chemical structure and composition to spodumene.In this work,the density functional theory(DFT)calculation was taken to research the floatability from the perspective of crystal chemistry.And contact angle test and reagent adsorption test were used to support the simulation results.In addition,the weighted total density of broken bonds is proposed for the first time to judge the generation probability of cleavage surface.The DFT calculation results display that the Na and Al sites on the albite surface are the adsorption sites of water molecules.While the water molecules only bond with Al atom on the surface of spodumene and each Al site can adsorb only one water molecule.Thus,the wetting effect of water molecules on the albite surface is stronger than that of spodumene.This is consistent with the result of contact angle.In sodium oleate system,the oleic acid anion is adsorbed on the spodumene surface in form of a multicomponent ring while the albite is a single ring.Theoretically,oleic acid anion can be strongly adsorbed on the surface of spodumene and albite under vacuum.The adsorption strength of spodumene is higher than that of albite.However,on hydrated surface,the adsorption strength of oleic acid anion on mineral surface is greatly reduced due to the interaction between water molecules and metal site on mineral surface.Thus,spodumene and albite are hard to float without external activated ions in sodium oleate system.Hepeng Zhou Fanxin Xie Yongbing Zhang Boyuan Zhang Siqi Yang Xianping Luo 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,6:1
