1Soil particle size distribution and its relationship with soil water and salt under mulched drip irrigation in Xinjiang of China显示文摘Soil particle size distribution(PSD),one of the most important soil physical attributes,is of great importance to soil water movement,soil erosion and soil solute migration.In this study,the soil PSD of 563 soil samples from the mulched drip irrigated cotton fields in Xinjiang of China were measured by laser diffraction particle size analyzer.The soil PSD characteristics and its relations with soil water and salt were studied by using the combined methods of textural triangle,fractal and multifractal analysis.The results showed very low clay content(about 1.52%) while really high sand content of the studied soil,and a complex shape of bimodal or unimodal of soil PSD.The results also showed that the two indices,i.e.,standard deviation and the peak value of soil particle relative volumes,were good indicators of soil PSD and thus had good relations with fractal and multifractal characteristics.The correlative analysis further indicated that the mulched drip irrigation had a significant impact on the distribution of the soil salt,while this impact withered for the deeper soil layer.The soil texture feature was found to dominate soil water and salt distribution,especially the surface soil salt content and the deep soil water content.HU HongChang TIAN FuQiang HU HePing 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,6:33
2Response of soil heat-water processes to vegetation cover on the typical permafrost and seasonally frozen soil in the headwaters of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers显示文摘The response of soil temperature and moisture to vegetative cover in the active layer of permafrost and seasonally frozen soil were assessed and compared. Soil temperature and moisture, under a range of vegetation covers (92%, 65% and 30%) in the permafrost and vegetation covers (95%, 70%―80%, 40%―50% and 10%) in the seasonally frozen soil, were measured on a daily basis. A decline in vege-tation cover led to a decrease in the integral of freezing depth of active permafrost layer, but an increase in seasonally frozen soil. The maximum invasion depth and duration of the negative isotherm during the frozen period and of the positive isotherm during the non-frozen period clearly increased when vegetation cover declined. With a reduction of vegetation cover, the soil moisture in the active layer of the permafrost decreased for depths of 0.20―0.60 m, but increased for depths of 0.60―0.80 m, while for seasonally frozen soil, soil moisture of the entire profile (0.10―1.20 m) increased. 3Convergence Rates of Wavelet Estimators in Semiparametric Regression Models Under NA Samples显示文摘Consider the following heteroscedastic semiparametric regression model: y_i = Xi T β + g(ti) + σiei, 1 ≤ i ≤ n, where {Xi, 1 ≤ i ≤ n} are random design points, errors {ei, 1 ≤ i ≤ n} are negatively associated (NA) random variables, σi2 = h(ui), and {ui} and {ti} are two nonrandom sequences on [0, 1]. Some wavelet estimators of the parametric component β, the non- parametric component g(t) and the variance function h(u) are given. Under some general conditions, the strong convergence rate of these wavelet estimators is O(n^(-1/3) log n). 4A two-dimensional numerical model coupled with multiple hillslope hydrodynamic processes and its application to subsurface flow simulation显示文摘A numerical hillslope hydrodynamic model is of great importance in facilitating the understanding of rainfall-runoff mechanism.However,most of the currently existing models do not consider the effect of coupled hydrodynamic processes as runoff,subsurface flow or groundwater flow.In this study,the Tsinghua Hillslope Runoff Model based on multiple hydrodynamic process,THRM model,is developed,which couples with Saint Venant equation for surface runoff and Richards equation for variably saturated soil water movement(including subsurface flow and groundwater flow).A finite difference scheme with improved boundary conditions is adopted in this research.It is revealed from the simulation that the THRM model has a high computational efficiency and stability in simulating subsurface flow of the experimental hillslope,which is valuable in assessing the hillslope runoff generation mechanism.A model based sensitivity analysis is also carried out.The impact of boundary condition,grid size and initial soil moisture on simulation result and model stability are revealed,which provides insightful references to understand the mechanism of subsurface flow.LAN Min HU HongChang TIAN FuQiang HU HePing 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,10:6
5Response of gaseous carbon emissions to low-level salinity increase in tidal marsh ecosystem of the Min River estuary,southeastern China显示文摘Although estuarine tidal marshes are important contributors to the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the relationship between carbon dioxide(CO_2), methane(CH_4)emission, and environmental factors, with respect to estuarine marshes, has not been clarified thoroughly. This study investigated the crucial factors controlling the emission of CO_2 and CH_4from a freshwater marsh and a brackish marsh located in a subtropical estuary in southeastern China, as well as their magnitude. The duration of the study period was November 2013 to October 2014. Relevant to both the field and incubation experiments, the CO_2 and CH_4emissions from the two marshes showed pronounced seasonal variations. The CO_2 and CH_4emissions from both marshes demonstrated significant positive correlations with the air/soil temperature(p < 0.01), but negative correlations with the soil electrical conductivity and the pore water/tide water Cl-and SO_4^(2-)(p < 0.01). The results indicate no significant difference in the CO_2 emissions between the freshwater and brackish marshes in the subtropical estuary, whereas there was a difference in the CH_4 emissions between the two sites(p < 0.01). Although future sea-level rise and saltwater intrusion could reduce the CH_4 emissions from the estuarine freshwater marshes, these factors had little effect on the CO_2 emissions with respect to an increase in salinity of less than 5‰. 6Toward a Scalable SDN Control Mechanism via Switch Migration显示文摘Dynamic Controller Provisioning Problem(DCPP) is a key problem for scalable SDN. Previously, the solution to this problem focused on adapting the number of controllers and their locations with changing network conditions, but ignored balancing control loads via switch migration. In this paper, we study a scalable control mechanism to decide which switch and where it should be migrated for more balanced control plane, and we define it as Switch Migration Problem(SMP). The main contributions of this paper are as follows. First, we define a SDN model to describe the relation between controllers and switches from the view of loads. Based on this model, we form SMP as a Network Utility Maximization(NUM) problem with the objective of serving more requests under available control resources. Second, we design a synthesizing distributed algorithm for SMP--- Distributed Hopping Algorithm(DHA), by approximating our optimal objective via Log-Sum-Exp function. In DHA, individual controller performs algorithmic procedure independently. With the solution space F, we prove that the optimal gap caused by approximation is at most 1/βlog|F|, and DHA procedure is equal to implementation of a time-reversible Markov Chain process. 10Monitoring the mechanical properties of the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)using electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation显示文摘Stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)has been well established to be critical for the reversible operation of Li(ion)batteries,yet our understanding of its mechanical properties currently remains incomplete.Here,we used an electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance combined with dissipation monitoring(EQCM-D)to investigate SEI formation.By quantitatively estimating in-situ,the change in mass,shear modulus,and viscosity of the SEI,we show that the SEI formation in propylene carbonate(PC)-and ethylene carbonate/diethyl carbonate(EC/DEC)-based electrolytes involves the growth of a rigid laye r followed by a viscoelastic layer,whereas a distinct'one-layer'rigid model is applicable to the SEI formulated in tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether(TEGDME)-based electrolyte.With the continuous formation of the SEI,its shear modulus decreases accompanied by an increase in viscosity.In TEGDME,the lightest/thinnest SEI(mass lower than in PC by a factor of nine)yet having the greatest stiffness(more than five times that in PC)is obtained.We attribute this behavior to differences in the chemical composition of the SEIs,which have been revealed by tracking the mass-change-per-mole-of-electrontransferred using EQCM-D and further confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Yinguang Chai Wenshan Jia Zhiqiu Hu Song Jin Hongchang Jin Huanxin Ju Xingbin Yan Hengxing Ji Li-Jun Wan 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3:2

16NS codoped carbon nanorods as anode materials for high-performance lithium and sodium ion batteries显示文摘NS codoped carbon nanorods(NS-CNRs) were prepared using crab shell as template and polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) as both the C and S precursor, followed by carbonization in NH_3. The as-obtained NS-CNRs had a diameter of ~50 nm, length of several micrometers, and N and S contents of 12.5 at.% and 3.7 at.%,respectively, which can serve as anodes for both lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) and sodium ion batteries(SIBs). When serving as an anode of LIB, the NS-CNRs delivered gravimetric capacities of 2154 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 0.1 A g^(-1)and 625 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 5.0 A g^(-1)for 1000 cycles.When serving as an anode of SIB, the NS-CNRs delivered gravimetric capacities of 303 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 0.1 A g^(-1)and 230 mAh g^(-1)at current densities of 1.0 A g^(-1)for 3000 cycles. The excellent electrochemical performance of NS-CNRs could be ascribed to the one-dimensional nanometer structure and high level of heteroatom doping.
