1Generating a sub-nanometer-confined optical field in a nanoslit waveguiding mode显示文摘We propose to generate a sub-nanometer-confined optical field in a nanoslit waveguiding mode in a coupled nanowire pair(CNP).We show that,when a conventional waveguide mode with a proper polarization is evanescently coupled into a properly designed CNP with a central nanoslit,it can be efficiently channeled into a high-purity nanoslit mode within a waveguiding length<10μm.The CNP can be either freestanding or on-chip by using a tapered fiber or planar waveguide for input-coupling,with a coupling efficiency up to 95%.Within the slit region,the output diffraction-limited nanoslit mode offers an extremely confined optical field(∼0.3 nm×3.3 nm)with a peak-to-background ratio higher than 25 dB and can be operated within a 200-nm bandwidth.The group velocity dispersion of the nanoslit mode for ultrafast pulsed operation is also briefly investigated.Compared with the previous lasing configuration,the waveguiding scheme demonstrated here is not only simple and straightforward in structural design but is also much flexible and versatile in operation.Therefore,the waveguiding scheme we show here may offer an efficient and flexible platform for exploring light–matter interactions beyond the nanometer scale,and developing optical technologies ranging from superresolution nanoscopy and atom/molecule manipulation to ultra-sensitivity detection.Liu Yang Zhanke Zhou Hao Wu Hongliang Dang Yuxin Yang Jiaxin Gao Xin Guo Pan Wang Limin Tong 2023Advanced Photonics2023,5,4:0
2Assessment of Urban Climate Environment and Configuration of Ventilation Corridor:A Refined Study in Xi'an显示文摘Integrating urban spatial landscape(USL) parameters into refined climate environment assessment is important. By taking the central urban area(CUA) of Xi’an, China as an example, this study develops an evaluation method based on Urban Climatic Map(UCMap) technology. We define surface urban heat island intensity(SUHI) and surface ventilation potential coefficient(VPC), which can effectively reflect local urban climate. Based on SUHI and VPC,we analyze the influences of seven typical USL metrics including building height(BH), building density(BD), floor area ratio(FAR), sky view factor(SVF), frontal area index(FAI), surface roughness length(RL), and vegetation cover(VC). Then, we construct a comprehensive evaluation model and create an urban climate zoning map on a 100-m resolution. The climate optimization on the map is performed for configuration of possible ventilation corridors and identification of associated control indicators. The results show that the main factors affecting SUHI in the CUA of Xi’an are VC and BD, which explain 87.9% of the variation in SUHI, while VPC explains 50% of the variation in SUHI. The main factors affecting VPC are BH, FAR, FAI, and RL, all of which contribute to more than 95% of the variation in VPC. The evaluation model constructed by SUHI, VPC, and VC can divide the CUA into climate resource spaces, climate preservation spaces, climate sensitive spaces, and climate restoration spaces. On this basis, a ventilation corridor network of 3 level-1 corridors(each over 500 m wide), 6 level-2 corridors(each over 500 m wide) and 13 level-3 corridors(each over 50 m wide) is established. 3Developmental and Liver Metabolite Changes Induced by TPhP Exposure in Brown Frog(Rana zhenhaiensis)Tadpoles显示文摘As an organophosphorus compound that frequently detected in water samples,triphenyl phosphate(TPhP)has been showed to have multiple toxicological effects on aquatic species.However,no attention has been paid to its potential impact on non-model amphibian species.Here,tadpoles of the Zhenhai brown frog(Rana zhenhaiensis)were exposed to different concentrations of TPh P(0,0.02 and 0.1 mg/L)throughout the developmental period to assess physiological and meta bolic impacts of TPh P exposure on amphibian larvae.After 30-day TPh P exposure,the developmental stage of tadpoles from the high-concentration treatment appeared to be more advanced than that from the other two treatments,but other measured traits(including body size,tail length and liver weight)did not differ among treatments.Metabolite profiles in tadpole livers based on liquid chromatographymass spectrometry(LC-MS)revealed a distinct metabolic disorder in exposed animals.Specifically,significant changes in various hepatic amino acids(such as glutamine,glutamate,valine and leucine)were observed.Overall,our results indicated that chronic TPhP exposure potentially caused developmental and hepatic physiological changes in R.zhenhaiensis tadpoles,although its impact on tadpole growth appeared to be minor.Hongliang LU Yingchao HU Changqing XU Wei DANG Zhihua LIN 2021Asian Herpetological Research2021,12,1:0
