2A Landscape Pattern Analysis Method Based on Boundaries and Nodes:A Case Study in Upper Minjiang River,China显示文摘Traditionally,patch-based analysis at the landscape scale fragmentation has been used in the study of landscape ecology while the study of boundary and node has not been considered as much detail until recently.This study investigated the possibility of applying boundary-and node-based methods in landscape pattern analysis to the upper reaches of the Minjiang River in the southwestern China.Boundary-based and node-based landscape indices were selected to be used in analyzing changes in landscape patterns,and the results were compared with analysis using traditional pattern indices.We compared the responses of patch-area-based,boundary-length-based and node-number-based indices,and concluded that boundary-based and node-based indices are more sensitive to disturbance than patch-based indices with various patterns,and node-based indices are even more sensitive than boundary-based ones.Thus,the results suggest that boundary-based and node-based pattern analysis methods provide helpful supplementary information to traditional patch-based pattern analysis methods.The results about pattern dynamics of landscapes in the upper reaches of the Minjiang River based on boundaries and nodes showed that with human disturbance,the dominance of forest landscape was weakened by other landscape types;thus the landscape pattern of the study area became more homogeneous and the boundary network became more complex.These changes further augmented disturbance interfaces in the landscape and increased the possibilities of further landscape fragmentation.WEN Qingchun LI Xiuzhen HE Hongshi HU Yuanman CHEN Xin CHANG Yu WANG Wei BU Rencang 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,1:3

4Molecular characterization and functional analysis of daf-8 in the pinewood nematode,Bursaphelenchus xylophilus显示文摘Bursaphelenchus xylophilus,causal agent of pine wilt disease,causes extensive damage worldwide.Strate-gies are needed to inhibit population growth or block the spread of the invasive nematode to control pine wilt dis-ease.The gene daf-8 plays crucial roles in larval develop-ment and dauer formation in Caenorhabditis elegans,but little is known about its orthologue in B.xylophilus.In the present molecular characterization and functional analysis of daf-8 in B.xylophilus(Bx-daf-8),RT-qPCR showed that the expression of Bx-daf-8 gradually increased during the embryonic stage,peaked in the second-stage juvenile(J2),then dramatically dropped in the J3,and remained at that low level for the rest of its life.Bx-daf-8-transgenic C.elegans was employed to mimic the spatiotemporal expression of Bx-daf-8,which was expressed close to the pharynx during early embryogenesis and weakly throughout the whole body during late embryogenesis.It was observed in head neurons and tail ganglions throughout all postembryonic stages.B.xylophilus embryos were severely abnormal,and hatching rate decreased sharply after Bx-daf-8 knockdown.daf-16-1 and da-f16-2,downstream genes in the IIS pathway,also dropped sharply after Bx-daf-8 knockdown.We propose that TGFβmay crosstalk with the IIS pathway upstream of Bx-daf-16 and that daf-8 may act as a master regulator of daf-16 in B.xylophilus.However,knockdown of Bx-daf-8 did not lead to constitutive developmental arrest at the dauer larval stage,indicating that dauer entry in B.xylophilus might be controlled by several genes and is more complicated than in C.elegans.Bx-daf-8 alone did not control the dauer entry in B.xylophilus,but it was indispensable for embryogen-esis,providing a potential target for suppressing population growth of B.xylophilus.Jinghan Wang Huan Hong Rong Xie Jingjing Ji Kai Guo Liqun Bai Jia Tang Hongshi Yu Jianren Ye Jiafu Hu 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2:1
5The equation of state of QCD under hard-dense-loop approximation显示文摘Based on the method proposed by Zong et al.,we calculate the equation of state(EOS) of QCD at zero temperature and finite quark chemical potential under the hard-dense-loop(HDL) approximation.A comparison between the EOS under HDL approximation and the cold,perturbative EOS of QCD proposed by Fraga,Pisarski and Schaffner-Bielich is made.It is found that when μ is less than 4.7 GeV,the pressure density calculated using HDL approximation is much larger than that calculated using pertur-bation theory.This enhancement of the obtained pressure density with respect to that of perturbation theory can be regarded as a possible explanation for the strong coupled QGP.It is also expected that the obtained EOS can be applied in the study of neutron stars.SUN WeiMin JIANG Yu ZONG HongShi 2009Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2009,52,10:1
6Manganese silicate nanospheres-incorporated hydrogels:starvation therapy and tissue regeneration显示文摘To prevent postoperative skin tumor recurrence and repair skin wound,a glucose oxidase(GOx)-loaded manganese silicate hollow nanospheres(MS HNSs)-incorporated alginate hydrogel(G/MS-SA)was constructed for starvation-photothermal therapy and skin tissue regeneration.The MS HNSs showed a photothermal conversion efficiency of 38.5%,and endowed composite hydrogels with satisfactory photothermal effect.Taking advantage of the catalytic activity of Mn ions,the composite hydrogels could decompose hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)into oxygen(O2),which can alleviate the problem of tumor hypoxia microenvironment and endow GOx with an ability to consume glucose in the presence of O2 for tumor starvation.Meanwhile,hyperthermia triggered by near infrared(NIR)irradiation could not only accelerate the reaction rate of H2O2 decomposition by MS HNSs and glucose consumption by GOx,but also ablate tumor cells.The anti-tumor results showed that synergistic effect of starvation-photothermal therapy led to the highest death rate of tumor cells among all groups,and its anti-tumor effect was obviously improved as compared with that of single photothermal treatment or starvation treatment.Interestingly,the introduction of MS HNSs into hydrogels could distinctly promote the epithelialization of the wound beds by releasing Mn ions as compared with the hydrogels without MS HNSs.It is expected that such a multifunctional platform with starvation-photothermal therapy will be promising for treating tumor-caused skin defects in combination of its regeneration bioactivity in the future.Hongshi Ma Qingqing Yu Yu Qu Yufang Zhu Chengtie Wu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:1
