1Pathological evidence for residual SARS-CoV-2 in pulmonary tissues of a ready-for-discharge patient显示文摘Dear Editor,SARS-CoV-2,a novel coronavirus and causing COVID-19,has given rise to a worldwide pandemic.1,2 So far,tens of thousands of COVID-19 patients have been clinically cured and discharged,but multiple COVID-19 cases showed SARS-CoV-2 positive again in discharged patients,3 which raises an attention for the discharged patients.Also,there is an urgent need to understand the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.Here,we conducted postmortem pathologic study in a ready-fordischarge COVID-19 patient who succumbed to sudden cardiovascular accident.Pathological examination revealed SARSCoV-2-viruses remaining in pneumocytes and virus-caused pathological changes in the lungs.Our study provided new insights into SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis and might facilitate the improvement of clinical guideline for virus containment and disease management.Xiao-Hong Yao Zhi-Cheng He Ting-Yuan Li Hua-Rong Zhang Yan Wang Huaming Mou Qiaonan Guo Shi-Cang Yu Yanqing Ding Xindong Liu Yi-Fang Ping Xiu-Wu Bian 2020Cell Research2020,30,6:35
2Construction of NH2-MIL-125(Ti)/Bi2WO6 composites with accelerated charge separation for degradation of organic contaminants under visible light irradiation显示文摘Photocatalysis is considered as an ideal strategy for water pollution treatment.However,it remains challenging to design a highly efficient photo-catalytic system through regulating the charge flow via a precise approach.In this work,a novel NH2-MIL-125(Ti)/Bi2WO6 composite was constructed via self-assembly growing Bi2WO6 nanosheets on NH2-MIL-125(Ti)material.The characterization results demonstrated that NH2-MIL-125(Ti)was successfully incorporated into Bi2WO6 and the photoexcited carriers could be efficiently separated and transferred between the two components.NH2-MIL-125(Ti)/Bi2WO6 composites displayed enhanced photocatalytic activity for the removal of rhodamine B(RhB)and tetracycline(TC)under visible light irradiation,and the optimal weight ratio of NH2-MIL-125(Ti)was determined to be 7 wt%.The introduction of NH2-MIL-125(Ti)into Bi2WO6 could raise the absorption of visible light,accelerate the separation and transfer of charge carriers,and boost photocatalytic activity.This research presents a wide range of possibilities for the further development of novel composites in the field of environment purification.Sheng Yin Yong Chen Ming Li Qingsong Hu Yi Ding Yifan Shao Jun Di Jiexiang Xia Huaming Li 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,2:5
3Modeling assessment of tidal current energy in the Qiongzhou Strait, China显示文摘In the present study, an existing three-dimensional finite volume computational ocean model(FVCOM) was refined and configured including an algorithm for computing the power density and mean power density at Qiongzhou Strait of China. The refined model was validated with the measured tidal levels and tidal currents at different gauging stations. The model results are in reasonable agreement with the measured data. Based on the modeling results, we assess the resource of the tidal stream energy in the Qiongzhou Strait and discuss the temporal and the spatial distribution of the tidal current energy there. The conclusion is extracted: the higher power density occurs in the middle area of the strait, and lower at both sides. Characteristics of power density such as the maximum possibility speed, maximum power density during the spring tide period and the neap tide period, have the similar distribution. The southeast part and central area of the strait are of rich tidal current energy, where the maximum possibility speed can reach to 4.6 m/s, and the maximum power density of the spring tide period and the neap tide period can reach 5 996 and 467 W/m^2 separately in the surface layer The annual mean power density can reach 819 W/m^2. Statistical length of accumulative time of the velocity exceeding 0.7 m/s is about 4 717 h at local point during a year. 4Screening of amino acids in dried blood spots by stable isotope derivatization-liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry显示文摘Direct infusion mass spectrometry(DIMS) is a powerful technique in clinical diagnosis for screening neonatal amino acid metabolic disorders from dried blood spots(DBS).However,DIMS sometimes generated false-positive results for analysis of amino acids.In this work,we utilized a stable isotope derivatization method,combining with liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(SID-LC-MS),to improve the specificity for screening amino acids in DBS specimens.A pair of isotope reagents,p-(dimethylamino)phenyl isothiocyanate(DMAP-NCS) and 4-isothiocyanato-N,N-bis(methyl-[2H2])aniline([2H4]DMAP-NCS),was synthesized and used to label amino acids in DBS specimens.The [2H4]DMAP-NCS labelled amino acid standards were used as internal standards to compensate the matrix effect.This method was validated by measuring linearity,recovery and accuracy.The results showed that the developed SID-LC-MS method can be used for sensitive and selective determination of 12 diagnostically important amino acids in DBS specimens.Huaming Xiao Ping Liu Shujian Zheng Xian Wang Jun Ding Yuqi Feng 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9:3
5Tidal Characteristics in the Wenzhou Offshore Waters and Changes Resulting from the Wenzhou Shoal Reclamation Project显示文摘The Wenzhou Shoal Reclamation Project is the core part of Wenzhou Peninsula Engineering which is a big comprehensive development project to expand the city space. The dynamics of the surrounding area was proved to suffer little effect in response to the Lingni north dyke since it was built approximately along the current direction. Therefore, this paper focuses firstly on the tidal characteristics in the Wenzhou and Yueqing bays with the Lingni north dyke being built and then on the changes resulting from the implementation of the on-going Wenzhou Shoal Reclamation Project(WSRP) which will reclaim land from the whole Wenzhou Shoal. To simulate the tidal dynamics, a high-resolution coastal ocean model with unstructured triangular grids was set up for the Wenzhou and Yueqing Bays. The model resolved the complicated tidal dynamics with the simulated tidal elevation and current in good agreement with observations. In the study area, M2 is the predominant tidal component, which means the tide is semidiurnal. The new reclamation project hardly affects the Yueqing Bay and the open ocean, but there are concentrated effects on the mouth of the southern branch of the Oujiang River and the southwest of Wenzhou Shoal. 6Spatial configuration engineering of perylenediimide-based non-fullerene electron transport materials for efficient inverted perovskite solar cells显示文摘Due to their excellent photoelectron chemical properties and suitable energy level alignment with perovskite,perylene diimide(PDI)derivatives are competitive non-fullerene electron transport material(ETM)candidates for perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,the conjugated rigid plane structure of PDI units result in PDI-based ETMs tending to form large aggregates,limiting their application and photovoltaic performance.In this study,to restrict aggregation and further enhance the photovoltaic performance of PDI-type ETMs,two PDI-based ETMs,termed PDO-PDI2(dimer)and PDO-PDI3(trimer),were constructed by introducing a phenothiazine 5,5-dioxide(PDO)core building block.The research manifests that the optoelectronic properties and film formation property of PDO-PDI2 and PDO-PDI3 were deeply affected by the molecular spatial configuration.Applied in PSCs,PDO-PDI3 with threedimensional spiral molecular structure,exhibits superior electron extraction and transport properties,further achieving the best PCE of 18.72%and maintaining 93%of its initial efficiency after a 720-h aging test under ambient conditions.Mengmeng Zheng Yawei Miao Ali Asgher Syed Cheng Chen Xichuan Yang Liming Ding Huaming Li Ming Cheng 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:0
7A MODIFIED TORSION PENDULUM FOR MEASURING THE SHEAR MODULUS OF A SINGLE MICRO-SIZED FILAMENT显示文摘A modified torsion pendulum apparatus is developed for measuring the shear modulus of single filaments with uniform micro-sized diameter. A single filament fixed at both ends and with a ring-shaped mass attached at the middle is used as a clamped-clamped torsion pendulum.The shear modulus of single filaments can be expressed as a function of the oscillation frequency of the torsion pendulum. The oscillation motion is measured with a CCD laser displacement sensor, and its frequency is determined by the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) method. The shear moduli of three types of filaments: copper wires, tungsten wires and carbon fibers are accurately measured with this technique. It is found that the size effect in shear moduli of both copper wires and tungsten wires is minor.
