3Effect of ultrasonic vibration on the dechromisation corrosion of a CuCr alloy in HCl solution显示文摘The effect of ultrasonic vibration on the dechromisation corrosion of a CuCr alloy in HCl solution was studied and the corrosion mechanisms were analyzed. It is found that ultrasonic vibration reduces the dechromisation incubation time, accelerates the dechromisation corrosion rate, decreases the temperature and concentration of HCl solution, and when the dechromisation occurs it seriously weakens the microstructure of dechromisation layer. 4Simultaneous gene editing of three homoeoalleles in self-incompatible allohexaploid grasses显示文摘Clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)system has been widely used for precise gene editing in plants.However,simultaneous gene editing of multiple homoeoalleles remains challenging,especially in self-incompatible polyploid plants.Here,we simultaneously introduced targeted mutations in all three homoeoalleles of two genes in the self-incompatible allohexaploid tall fescue,using both CRISPR/Cas9 and LbCas12a(LbCpf1)systems.Loss-of-function mutants of FaPDS exhibited albino leaves,while knockout of FaHSP17.9 resulted in impaired heat resistance in T0 generation of tall fescue.Moreover,these mutations were inheritable.Our findings demonstrate the feasibility of generating loss-of-function mutants in T0 generation polyploid perennial grasses using CRISPR/Cas systems.Liang Zhang Tao Wang Guangyang Wang Aoyue Bi Misganaw Wassie Yan Xie Liwen Cao Huawei Xu Jinmin Fu Liang Chen Yang Zhao Tao Hu 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,8:3
5Lamb wave sensors array for nonviscous liquid sensing显示文摘The interdigital transducer (IDT) can excite Lamb wave in a piezoelectric plate loading with a liquid layer, and the phase velocity of Lamb wave is associated with the properties of the liquid layer. In this paper, the concept of effective permittivity is introduced to study the Lamb wave's potential application in liquid sensing. Considering the measuring of ideal nonviscous liquid, the sensors array is designed to sense the density and the dielectric constant of the liquid layer simultaneously. Using LiNbO3 as piezoelectric material, in order to improve the sensors array sensitivity and the electro-mechanical coupling coefficient, the optimized results including plate thicknesses and cut orientations are presented by numerical simulation. 7Neurogranin as an important regulator in swimming training to improve the spatial memory dysfunction of mice with chronic cerebral hypoperfusion显示文摘Background:Vascular cognitive impairment caused by chronic cerebral hypoperfusion(CCH)has become a hot issue worldwide.Aerobic exercise positively contributes to the preservation or restoration of cognitive abilities;however,the specific mechanism has remained inconclusive.And recent studies found that neurogranin(Ng)is a potential biomarker for cognitive impairment.This study aims to investigate the underlying role of Ng in swimming training to improve cognitive impairment.Methods:To test this hypothesis,the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)-associated protein 9(Cas9)system was utilized to construct a strain of Ng conditional knockout(Ng cKO)mice,and bilateral common carotid artery stenosis(BCAS)surgery was performed to prepare the model.In Experiment 1,2-month-old male and female transgenic mice were divided into a control group(wild-type littermate,n=9)and a Ng cKO group(n=9).Then,2-month-old male and female C57BL/6 mice were divided into a sham group(C57BL/6,n=12)and a BCAS group(n=12).In Experiment 2,2-month-old male and female mice were divided into a sham group(wild-type littermate,n=12),BCAS group(n=12),swim group(n=12),BCAS+Ng cKO group(n=12),and swim+Ng cKO group(n=12).Then,7 days after BCAS,mice were given swimming training for 5 weeks(1 week for adaptation and 4 weeks for training,5 days a week,60 min a day).After intervention,laser speckle was used to detect cerebral blood perfusion in the mice,and the T maze and Morris water maze were adopted to test their spatial memory.Furthermore,electrophysiology and Western blotting were conducted to record long-term potential and observe the expressions of Ca^(2+)pathway-related proteins,respectively.Immunohistochemistry was applied to analyze the expression of relevant markers in neuronal damage,inflammation,and white matter injury.Results:The figures showed that spatial memory impairment was detected in Ng cKO mice,and a sharp decline of cerebral blood flow and an impairment of progressive spatial memory were observed in BCAS mice.Regular swimming training improved the spatial memory impairment of BCAS mice.This was achieved by preventing long-term potential damage and reversing the decline of Ca^(2+)signal transduction pathway-related proteins.At the same time,the results suggested that swimming also led to improvements in neuronal death,inflammation,and white matter injury induced by CCH.Further study adopted the use of Ng cKO transgenic mice,and the results indicated that the positive effects of swimming training on cognitive impairments,synaptic plasticity,and related pathological changes caused by CCH could be abolished by the knockout of Ng.Conclusion:Swimming training can mediate the expression of Ng to enhance hippocampal synaptic plasticity and improve related pathological changes induced by CCH,thereby ameliorating the spatial memory impairment of vascular cognitive impairment.Huawei Lin Jiayong Zhang Yaling Dai Huanhuan Liu Xiaojun He Lewen Chen Jing Tao Chaohui Li Weilin Liu 2023Journal of Sport and Health Science2023,12,1:1
8Cryptochrome 1 Inhibits Shoot Branching by Repressing the Self-Activated Transciption Loop of PIF4 in Arabidopsis显示文摘Cryptochrome 1(CRY1)is an important light receptor essential for de-etiolation of Arabidopsis seedlings.However,its function in regulating plant architecture remains unclear.Here,we show that mutation in CRY1 resulted in increased branching of Arabidopsis plants.To investigate the underlying mechanism,we analyzed the expression profiles of branching-related genes and found that the mRNA levels of Phytochrome Interaction Factor 4(PIF4)and PIF5 are significantly increased in the cry1 mutant.Genetic analysis showed that the pif4 or pif4pif5 mutant is epistatic to the cry1 mutant,and overexpression of PIF4 conferred increased branching.Moreover,we demonstrated that PIF4 proteins physically associate with the G-box motif within the PIF4 promoter to form a self-activated transcriptional feedback loop,while CRY1 represses this process in response to blue light.Taken together,this study suggests that the CRY1–PIF4 module regulates gene expression via forming a regulatory loop and shoot branching in response to ambient light conditions.Huawei Zhai Lu Xiong Hongyu Li Xiangguang Lyu Guodong Yang Tao Zhao Jun Liu Bin Liu 2020Plant Communications2020,1,3:1
9Complementary dual-doping of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)cathode enhances ion-diffusion and stability for Li-ion batteries显示文摘The Ni-richLiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)layered cathodes endow Li-ion batteries(LIBs)with high energy density.However,they usually suffer from limited ion-diffusion and structural instability during cycling.Although doping strategy can effectively alleviate these issues,the coupling effects of multi-element doping and the corresponding performance enhancement mechanism have been yet unclear.Here,we report a Zr/Ti dual-doped NCM811 cathode material(ZT-NCM811),in which Zr-ion is doped into both transition metal(TM)layers and lithium layers and Ti-ion is only distributed in TM layers.The dual-doping can effectively enhance crystal structure stability via inhibiting the lattice collapse along c-axis and decreasing the Li/Ni disorder.Meantime,the lattice oxygen escape is also greatly reduced due to the presence of stronger Zr-O and Ti-O bonds,further mitigating the crystal surface parasitic reactions with electrolyte.The resultant ZT-NCM811 exhibits high specific capacity of 124 m Ah/g at even 10 C,much higher than undoped and single-doped NCM811,and a retention of 98.8%at 1 C after 100 cycles.The assembled ZT-NCM811/graphite full cell also delivers superior battery performances and durability.Zhihong Wang Huawei Zhu Haifeng Yu Tao Zhang Yanjie Hu Hao Jiang Chunzhong Li 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6:1
10Research on Nonlinear Frequency Compression Method of Hearing Aid with Adaptive Compression Ratio显示文摘To make full use of the residual audible frequency band of hearing-loss patients and improve the intelligibility of speech,an adaptive nonlinear frequency compression(NFC)algorithm is proposed,which amplifies signals below the cutoff frequency while compresses signals above the cutoff frequency.Firstly,high-frequency signals are decomposed to critical band signals according to the BARK scale.Secondly,the global compression ratio is determined according to the patient's cutoff frequency and maximum audible frequency.Thirdly,the sub-band compression ratio is adaptively determined based on the global compression ratio and normalized average energy of subband signals.Finally,the high frequency signals are transposed to low frequency bands by compression mapping,and the phases are adjusted to the same as the original low frequency signals.Experimental results of speech intelligibility with nine subjects demonstrate that compared to conventional amplitude amplification and nonlinear frequency compression algorithms the proposed algorithm significantly improves the intelligibility of initials and sentences,while not affects the intelligibility of finals and tones significantly.Xia Wang Hongming Shen Huawei Tao Ruiyu Liang Xing Deng Haijian Shao Li Zhao Cairong Zou 2019Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2019,,11:0
11A synthetic light-inducible photorespiratory bypass enhances photosynthesis to improve rice growth and grain yield显示文摘Bioengineering of photorespiratory bypasses is an effective strategy for improving plant productivity by modulating photosynthesis.In previouswork,two photorespiratory bypasses,theGOC andGCGT bypasses,increased photosynthetic rates but decreased seed-setting rate in rice(Oryza sativa),probably owing to excess photosynthate accumulation in the stem.To solve this bottleneck,we successfully developed a newsynthetic photorespiratory bypass(called theGMAbypass)in rice chloroplasts by introducing Oryza sativa glycolate oxidase 1(OsGLO1),Cucurbita maxima malate synthase(CmMS),and Oryza sativa ascorbate peroxidase7(OsAPX7)into the rice genome using a high-efficiency transgene stacking system.Unlike the GOC and GCGT bypass genes driven by constitutive promoters,OsGLO1 in GMA plants was driven by a light-inducible Rubisco small subunit promoter(pRbcS);its expression dynamically changed in response to light,producing a more moderate increase in photosynthate.Photosynthetic rates were significantly increased inGMA plants,and grain yieldswere significantly improved under greenhouse and field conditions.Transgenic GMA rice showed no reduction in seed-setting rate under either test condition,unlike previous photorespiratory-bypass rice,probably reflecting proper modulation of the photorespiratory bypass.Together,these results imply that appropriate engineering of the GMA bypass can enhance rice growth and grain yield without affecting seed-setting rate.Huawei Xu Huihui Wang Yanwen Zhang Xiaoyi Yang Shufang Lv Dianyun Hou Changru Mo Misganaw Wassie Bo Yu Tao Hu 2023Plant Communications2023,4,6:0
12Platelet membrane-coated C-TiO_(2) hollow nanospheres for combined sonodynamic and alkyl-radical cancer therapy显示文摘The therapeutic efficiency of sonodynamic therapy(SDT)mainly depends on the presence of oxygen(O_(2))to generate harmful reactive oxygen species(ROS);thus,the hypoxic tumor microenvironment significantly limits the efficacy of SDT.Therefore,the development of oxygen-independent free radical generators and associated combination therapy tactics can be a promising field to facilitate the anticancer capability of SDT.In this study,a biomimetic drug delivery system(C-TiO_(2)/AIPH@PM)composed of an alkyl-radical generator(2,2′-azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl)propane]dihydrochloride,AIPH)-loaded C-TiO_(2) hollow nanoshells(HNSs)as the inner cores,and a platelet membrane(PM)as the outer shells is successfully prepared for synergistic SDT and oxygen-independent alkyl-radical therapy.The PM encapsulation can significantly prolong the blood circulation time of CTiO_(2)/AIPH@PM compared with C-TiO_(2)/AIPH while enabling C-TiO_(2)/AIPH@PM to achieve tumor targeting.C-TiO_(2)/AIPH@PM can efficiently produce ROS and alkyl radicals,which can achieve a more thorough tumor eradication regardless of the normoxic or hypoxic conditions.Furthermore,the generation of these radicals improves the efficiency of SDT.In addition,nitrogen(N_(2))produced due to the decomposition of AIPH enhances the acoustic cavitation effect and lowers the cavitation threshold,thereby enhancing the penetration of CTiO_(2)/AIPH@PM at the tumor sites.Both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that CTiO_(2)/AIPH@PM possesses good biosafety,ultrasound imaging performance,and excellent anticancer efficacy.This study provides a new strategy to achieve oxygen-independent free radical production and enhance therapeutic efficacy by combining SDT and free radical therapy.Weihong Guo Tao Wang Chunyu Huang Shipeng Ning Qinglong Guo Wei Zhang Huawei Yang Daoming Zhu Qinqin Huang Haisheng Qian Xianwen Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
