| 1 | A new three-layer-funnel-shaped esophagogastric anastomosis for surgical treatment of esophageal carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To reduce the incidence of postoperative anastomoticleak, stenosis, gastroesophageal reflux (GER) for patientswith esophageal carcinoma, and to evaluate the conventionalmethod of esophagectomy and esophagogastroplastymodified by a new three-layer-funnel-shaped (TLF)esophagogastric anastomotic suturing technique.METHODS: From January 1997 to October 1999, patientswith clinical stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ (Ⅱa and Ⅱb) esophagealcarcinoma, which met the enrollment criteria, were surgicallytreated by the new method (Group A) and by conventionaloperation (Group B). All the patients were followed at leastfor 6 months. Postoperative outcomes and complicationswere recorded and compared with the conventional methodin the same hospitals and with that reported previously byMcLarty etalin 1997 (Group C).RESULTS: 58 cases with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ (Ⅱa and Ⅱb)esophageal carcinoma, including 38 males and 20 femalesaged from 34 to 78 (mean age: 57), were surgically treatedby the TLF anastomosis and 64 by conventional method inour hospitals from January 1997 to October 1999. The qualityof swallowing was improved significantly (Wilcoxon W=2 142,P=0.0 001) 2 to 3 months after the new operation in GroupA. Only one patient had a blind anastomatic fistula diagnosedby barium swallow test 2 months but healed up 3 weekslater. Postoperative complications occurred in 25 (43 %)patients, anastomotic stenosis in 8 (14 %), and GER in 13(22 %). | 2 | Experimental and analytical studies on multiple tuned mass dampers for seismic protection of porcelain electrical equipment显示文摘Porcelain electrical equipment(PEE),such as current transformers,is critical to power supply systems,but its seismic performance during past earthquakes has not been satisfactory.This paper studies the seismic performance of two typical types of PEE and proposes a damping method for PEE based on multiple tuned mass dampers(MTMD).An MTMD damping device involving three mass units,named a triple tuned mass damper(TTMD),is designed and manufactured.Through shake table tests and finite element analysis,the dynamic characteristics of the PEE are studied and the effectiveness of the MTMD damping method is verified.The adverse influence of MTMD redundant mass to damping efficiency is studied and relevant equations are derived.MTMD robustness is verified through adjusting TTMD control frequencies.The damping effectiveness of TTMD,when the peak ground acceleration far exceeds the design value,is studied.Both shake table tests and finite element analysis indicate that MTMD is effective and robust in attenuating PEE seismic responses.TTMD remains effective when the PGA far exceeds the design value and when control deviations are considered. | Bai Wen Dai Junwu Zhou Huimeng Yang Yongqiang Ning Xiaoqing | 2017 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2017,16,4: | 8 |
| 3 | Stability of an explicit time-integration algorithm for hybrid tests, considering stiffness hardening behavior显示文摘An explicit unconditionally stable algorithm for hybrid tests,which is developed from the traditional HHT-α algorithm,is proposed.The unconditional stability is first proven by the spectral radius method for a linear system.If the value of α is selected within [-0.5,0],then the algorithm is shown to be unconditionally stable.Next,the root locus method for a discrete dynamic system is applied to analyze the stability of a nonlinear system.The results show that the proposed method is conditionally stable for dynamic systems with stiffness hardening.To improve the stability of the proposed method,the structure stiffness is then identified and updated.Both numerical and pseudo-dynamic tests on a structure with the collision effect prove that the stiffness updating method can effectively improve stability. | Wang Tao Zhou Huimeng Zhang Xipeng Ran Tianran | 2018 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2018,17,3: | 2 |
| 4 | Population migration across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau:Spatiotemporal patterns and driving factors显示文摘Developing a comprehensive understanding of inter-city interactions is crucial for regional planning.We therefore examined spatiotemporal patterns of population migration across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)using migration big data from Tencent for the period between 2015 and 2019.We initially used decomposition and breakpoint detection methods to examine time-series migration data and to identify the two seasons with the strongest and weakest population migration levels,between June 18th and August 18th and between October 8th and February 15th,respectively.Population migration within the former period was 2.03 times that seen in the latter.We then used a variety of network analysis methods to examine population flow directions as well as the importance of each individual city in migration.The two capital cities on the QTP,Lhasa and Xining,form centers for population migration and are also transfer hubs through which migrants from other cities off the plateau enter and leave this region.Data show that these two cities contribute more than 35%of total population migration.The majority of migrants tend to move within the province,particularly during the weakest migration season.We also utilized interactive relationship force and radiation models to examine the interaction strength and the radiating energy of each individual city.Results show that Lhasa and Xining exhibit the strongest interactions with other cities and have the largest radiating energies.Indeed,the radiating energy of the QTP cities correlates with their gross domestic product(GDP)(Pearson correlation coefficient:0.754 in the weakest migration season,WMS versus 0.737 in the strongest migration season,SMS),while changes in radiating energy correlate with the tourism-related revenue(Pearson correlation coefficient:0.685).These outcomes suggest that level of economic development and level of tourism are the two most important factors driving the QTP population migration.The results of this analysis provide critical clarification guidance regarding huge QTP development differences. | WANG Nan WANG Huimeng DU Yunyan YI Jiawei LIU Zhang TU Wenna | 2021 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2021,31,2: | 1 |

| 7 | Preparation of dynamic polyurethane networks with UV-triggered photothermal self-healing properties based on hydrogen and ion bonds for antibacterial applications显示文摘Photo-induced self-healing composites have attracted more and more attention as a kind of materials that can be controlled remotely and accurately in real time.Here,we report a strategy of a photo-responsive system based on hydrogen and ion bonds capable of performing self-healing process by ultraviolet wave-lengths,which is covalently cross-linked zinc-dimethylglyoxime-polyurethane coordination network with triple dynamic bonds.The recombination of hydrogen bond and metal coordination bond produces ef-fective healing performance.The self-healing behavior and temperature dependence of 3D micro-crack is investigated by molecular dynamics simulations to reveal the mechanism of self-healing at molecu-lar level.Moreover,the hybrid of copper-doped zinc oxide not only provides metal coordination bonds to enhance the self-healing rate,but also enhances the photothermal effect and anti-bacterial properties of polyurethane.Importantly,doping of copper generates more defects and forms a space charge layer on the surface of zinc oxide.The defects could trap surface electrons and holes,preventing the recom-bination of photo-induced electron-hole pairs,generating more heat through lattice vibration.Therefore,under ultraviolet light irradiation,the polyurethane can reach 62.7°C for 60 s,and the scratches of the polyurethane can be healed within 30 min and fully healed within 1 h. | Huimeng Feng Wei Wang Tong Wang Lei Zhang Wen Li Jue Hou Shougang Chen | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,2: | 0 |

| 10 | Velocity plus displacement equivalent force control for real-time substructure testing显示文摘This paper employs a velocity plus displacement(V+D)-based equivalent force control(EFC) method to solve the velocity/displacement difference equation in a real-time substructure test. This method uses type 2 feedback control loops to replace mathematical iteration to solve the nonlinear dynamic equation. A spectral radius analysis of the amplification matrix shows that the type 2 EFC-explicit, Newmark-β method has beneficial numerical characteristics for this method. Its stability limit of Ω = 2 remains unchanged regardless of the system damping because the velocity is achieved with very high accuracy during simulation. In contrast, the stability limits of the central difference method using direct velocity prediction and the EFC-average acceleration method with linear interpolation are shown to decrease with an increase in system damping. In fact, the EFC-average acceleration method is shown to change from unconditionally stable to conditionally stable. We also show that if an over-damped system with a damping ratio of 1.05 is considered, the stability limit is reduced to Ω =1.45. Finally, the results from an experiment with a single-degree-of-freedom structure installed with a magneto-rheological(MR) damper are presented. The results demonstrate that the proposed method is able to follow both displacement and velocity commands with moderate accuracy, resulting in improved test performance and accuracy for structures that are sensitive to both velocity and displacement inputs. | 11 | Temperature-regulation liquid gating membrane with controllable gas/liquid separation显示文摘Membrane separation technology with the ability to regulate gas/liquid transport and separation is critical for environmental fields, such as sewerage treatment, multiphase separation, and desalination. Although numerous membranes can dynamically control liquid-phase fluids transport via external stimuli, the transport and separation of gas-phase fluids remains a challenge. Here, we show a temperature-regulation liquid gating membrane that allows in-situ dynamically controllable gas/liquid transfer and multiphase separation by integrating a thermo-wettability responsive porous membrane with functional gating liquid. Experiments and theoretical analysis have demonstrated the temperature-regulation mechanism of this liquid gating system, which is based on thermo-responsive changes of porous membrane surface polarity, leading to changes in affinity between the porous membrane and the gating liquid. In addition, the sandwich configuration with dense Au-coated surfaces and heterogeneous internal components by a bistable interface design enables the liquid gating system to enhance response sensitivity and maintain working stability.
