| 1 | Clinical Prediction Models for Hepatitis B Virus-related Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure:A Technical Report显示文摘Background and Aims:It is critical but challenging to predict the prognosis of hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF).This study systematically summarized and evaluated the quality and performance of available clinical prediction models(CPMs).Methods:A keyword search of articles on HBV-ACLF CPMs published in PubMed from January 1995 to April 2020 was performed.Both the quality and performance of the CPMs were assessed.Results:Fifty-two CPMs were identified,of which 31 were HBV-ACLF specific.The modeling data were mostly derived from retrospective(83.87%)and single-center(96.77%)cohorts,with sample sizes ranging from 46 to 1,202.Three-month mortality was the most common endpoint.The Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver consensus(51.92%)and Chinese Medical Association liver failure guidelines(40.38%)were commonly used for HBV-ACLF diagnosis.Serum bilirubin(67.74%),the international normalized ratio(54.84%),and hepatic encephalopathy(51.61%)were the most frequent variables used in models.Model discrimination was commonly evaluated(88.46%),but model calibration was seldom performed.The model for end-stage liver disease score was the most widely used(84.62%);however,varying performance was reported among the studies.Conclusions:Substantial limitations lie in the quality of HBV-ACLF-specific CPMs.Disease severity of study populations may impact model performance.The clinical utility of CPMs in predicting short-term prognosis of HBV-ACLF remains to be undefined. | Xia Yu Yi Lu Shanshan Sun Huilan Tu Xianbin Xu Kai Gong Junjie Yao Yu Shi Jifang Sheng | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6: | 3 |
| 2 | Innovation on Distant Hybridization of Saline-tolerant Mud Flat Spartina and Rice Germplasm显示文摘To explore saline-tolerant high yield Spartina and rice germplasm resources,innovate upon distant hybridization technology,and develop new saline-tolerant mud flat Spartina germplasm,autonomous patent for invention was used to study distant hybridization of Spartina and rice in 2005- 2016. The study adopted tidal flat planting screening,phenotypic screening,molecular marker assisted selection,to find biological evidences of new germplasm,and also applied crossbreeding,conventional breeding,and molecular breeding,to select new saline-tolerant Spartina and rice varieties. With 12 years of efforts,the team developed 1498 crossbreeding combinations and established pedigree file and seed bank,tested 307 crossbreeding materials(57 hybrid seeds showed parental genetic components of Spartina and Rice); obtained Spartina/ Rice distant hybridization and seed setting,transplanting,hybridization material economic traits,and molecular biological experimental evidences; Rice♀× Spartina ♂ hybridization success rate of 1. 04- 1. 39%; obtained authorization of patent for invention of Distant Hybridization Methods for Spartina and Rice; formulated procedures for high yield cultivation of Spartina-Rice,planted 33. 33 hm2Spartina-Rice in coastal saline and alkaline land,cultivated 10 new saline-tolerant Spartina-Rice varieties,and the rice yield up to 5. 925- 8. 28 t / hm2. Results indicate that Spartina-Rice is saline-tolerant high yield rice germplasm,developed through sexual hybridization,conventional breeding,and molecular breeding technologies,and is optimal crop for saline and alkaline land. Success of Spartina-Rice solves the problem of saline-tolerant crop badly for transformation of saline and alkaline land,the problem of feeds for herbivores,as well as problem of environmental pollution resulted from straw burning. | 3 | Glutamate synthase 1 is involved in iron-deficiency response and long-distance transportation in Arabidopsis显示文摘Iron is an essential microelement for plant growth.After uptake from the soil,iron is chelated by ligands and translocated from roots to shoots for sub-sequent utilization.However,the number of ligands in-volved in iron chelation is unclear.In this study,we identified and demonstrated that GLU1,which encodes a ferredoxin-dependent glutamate synthase,was involved in iron homeostasis.First,the expression of GLU1 was strongly induced by iron deficiency condition.Second,lesion of GLU1 results in reduced transcription of many iron-deficiency-responsive genes in roots and shoots.The mutant plants revealed a decreased iron concentration in the shoots,and displayed severe leaf chlorosis under the condition of Fe limitation,compared to wild-type.Third,the product of GLU1,glutamate,could chelate iron in vivo and promote iron transportation.Last,we also found that supplementation of glutamate in the medium can alleviate cadmium toxicity in plants.Overall,our results provide evidence that GLU1 is involved in iron homeo-stasis through affecting glutamate synthesis under iron deficiency conditions in Arabidopsis. | Man Cui Mengjun Gu Yaru Lu Yue Zhang Chunlin Chen Hong‐Qing Ling Huilan Wu | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,12: | 2 |
| 4 | Transcriptome analysis suggests mechanisms for a novel flowering type: Cleistogamous wheat显示文摘Wheat is one of the most important staple crops worldwide.Fusarium head blight severely reduces wheat yield and quality.Cultivation of a novel type of cleistogamous wheat mutant,ZK001,which was created by static magnetic field treatment,is a new strategy for controlling Fusarium head blight.However,little is known about the mechanism of cleistogamy in wheat.The present study demonstrated that anthers of ZK001 were retained on the glumes at all flowering stages,whereas those of YM18 were extruded from the paleae and lemmae.There was a clear difference in the morphological characteristics of lodicules between YM18 and ZK001.Lodicule calcium and potassium contents were significantly higher in YM18 than in ZK001 from white to yellow anther stages.In Fusarium head blight resistance,the diseased kernel rate and deoxynivalenol content of ZK001 were markedly lower than those of YM18 and QM725.Comparative transcriptome analysis of YM18 and ZK001 was performed to identify regulatory mechanisms of cleistogamy.The main differentially expressed genes identified in the spikelets of YM18 and ZK001 at the green anther stage were associated with cell walls,carbohydrates,phytohormones,water channel,and ion binding,transport,and homeostasis.These differentially expressed genes may play an important role in regulating cellular homeostasis,osmotic pressure,and lodicule development.The results indicate that ZK001 lost the ability to push the lemmae and paleae apart during the flowering stage because of the thin lodicules.ZK001 was speculated to provide structural barriers for Fusarium head blight during the flowering stage.The thin lodicule of ZK001 results from low levels of soluble sugar,calcium ions,and potassium ions in the lodicules.These levels are regulated by differentially expressed genes. | Caiguo Tang Minghao Li Minghui Cao Ruiju Lu Huilan Zhang Chenghong Liu Shengwei Huang Pingping Zhang Hao Hu Weiwei Zhao Lifang Wu | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,2: | 1 |
| 5 | Attitudes of hospitalized patients toward wearing patient clothing in Tianjin,China:A cross-sectional survey显示文摘Objective:To assess the attitudes of hospitalized patients toward wearing patient clothing and identify the factors those influence their negative attitudes.Methods:A cross-sectional design was employed and a questionnaire survey was conducted.The data were collected from 251 hospitalized patients between July 2015 and August 2015.Results:Around 57.8%of the participants reported that they were unwilling to wear patient clothing.Among them,60.7%knew little to nothing about the function of patient clothing.Some of these patients were unwilling to wear patient clothing because these uniforms had poor comfort(26.2%),fit(34.5%),hygiene(66.2%),and appearance(31.1%),and wearing them was psychologically uncomfortable(43.5%).Conclusions:More than half of the hospitalized patients dislike wearing patient clothing because they were unaware of its functions and were skeptical about its hygiene,comfortability,fit,and appearance.Therefore,these patients must be provided with comfortable,well fitting,hygienic,and aesthetically pleasing clothing. | Lu Liu Haofeng Zhao Gege Lu Yulu Ling Lingjie Jiang Huilan Cai Weijie Gao | 2016 | International Journal of Nursing Sciences2016,3,4: | 0 |
