1Investigation of the sliding friction behaviors of locust on slippery plates显示文摘The slippery trapping plate in swarm locust control is a method of realizing resource utilization of locust and avoiding pesticide residues in the entironment. Some slippery plates with different material composition or surface characteristic were investigated through the sliding tests of locust on slippery plates, and sliding rubbing behaviors of locusts on the plate were observed by means of CCD video monitoring system. Poor sliding character of silicate glass to locust was verified, which is in accordance with the adhesive effect generated by secretion of locust feet pads on the smooth surface. And also, PVC plastic plate presents a poor sliding character to locusts, because the soft surface of PVC can permit claws of locust feet to engender mechanical interlock on the surface. The zinc plate shows a considerable slippery ratio for locusts because of the appropriate surface characteristic and material property. Photoelectric stimulation for resting locust can promote the movement of locust. Accordingly, the contact form of locust feet and abdomen on slippery plates is changed and contact area is reduced severely, so the sliding effect of locust on slippery plates is strengthened effectively. 14The Electromagnetic Characteristics of the Tianlai Cylindrical Pathfinder Array显示文摘A great challenge for 21 cm intensity mapping experiments is the strong foreground radiation which is orders of magnitude brighter than the 21 cm signal.Removal of the foreground takes advantage of the fact that its frequency spectrum is smooth while the redshifted 21 cm signal spectrum is stochastic.However,a complication is the nonsmoothness of the instrument response.This paper describes the electromagnetic simulation of the Tianlai cylinder array,a pathfinder for 21 cm intensity mapping experiments.Due to the vast scales involved,a direct simulation requires a large amount of computing resources.We have made the simulation practical by using a combination of methods:first simulate a single feed,then an array of feed units,finally with the feed array and a cylindrical reflector together,obtain the response for a single cylinder.We studied its radiation pattern,bandpass response and the effects of mutual coupling between feed units,and compared the results with observation.Many features seen in the measurement result are reproduced well in the simulation,especially the oscillatory features which are associated with the standing waves on the reflector.The mutual coupling between feed units is quantified with Sparameters,which decrease as the distance between the two feeds increases.Based on the simulated S-parameters,we estimate the correlated noise which has been seen in the visibility data,and the results show very good agreement with the data in both magnitude and frequency structures.These results provide useful insights on the problem of 21 cm signal extraction for real instruments.Shijie Sun Jixia Li Fengquan Wu Peter Timbie Reza Ansari Jingchao Geng Huli Shi Albert Stebbins Yougang Wang Juyong Zhang Xuelei Chen 2022Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,6:0
15Stretchable magnesium-air battery based on dual ions conducting hydrogel for intelligent biomedical applications显示文摘Flexible and bio-integrated electronics have attracted great attention due to their enormous contributions to personalized medical devices.Power sources,serving as one of the most important components,have been suffering from many problems,including deficient biocompatibility,poor stretchability,and unstable electrical outputs under deformed conditions,which limits the practical applications in flexible and bio-integrated electronics.Here,we reported a fully stretchable magnesium(Mg)–air battery based on dual-ions-conducting hydrogels(SDICH).The high-performance battery enables long-term operation with lighting 120 lighting emitting diodes(LEDs)for over 5 h.Benefiting from the advanced materials and mechanical designs,the battery exhibits stability electrical outputs under stretching,which allows to operate ordinarily under various mechanical deformations without performance decay.Furthermore,the great biocompatibility of the battery offers great opportunity for biomedical applications,which is demonstrated by a self-adaption wound dressing system.The in vitro and in vivo results prove that the self-adaption wound dressing can effectively prevent wound inflammation and promote wound healing.By exploiting thermal feedback mechanics,the system can adjust antibiotic release rate and dosage spontaneously according to the real-time wound conditions.The proposed fully stretchable Mg-air battery and self-adaption wound dressing display great potential in skin-integrated electronics and personalized medicine.Xingcan Huang Yiming Liu Wooyoung Park Zhao Zhao Jiyu Li Chee Kent Lim Tsz Hung Wong Chun Ki Yiu Yuyu Gao Jingkun Zhou HuLi Ling Zhao Jian Li Binbin Zhang Ya Huang Rui Shi Dengfeng Li Jiaying Mo Jinpei Wang Chao Zhang Yuhang Li Zuankai Wang Xinge Yu 2023InfoMat2023,5,3:0
