| 1 | Response of the sediment geochemistry of the Changjiang River(Yangtze River) to the impoundment of the Three Gorges Dam显示文摘Based on the measurement of major and trace elements in suspended sediments in the low reaches of the Changjiang River during throughout a whole hydrologic year, the origins, seasonal variations, and fluxes of multielements and the human impacts on multielements transport processes have been analyzed along with the influence of weathering in the Changjiang River basin. The results show that most element contents were high in both autumn and winter and low in summer, which was largely caused by the dilution of discharge. Weathering detritus in the Changjiang River basin is the main source of most elements in suspended sediments. However, riverine pollution could bring more loadings of Cd, Pb, As and Zn into river water than it did a few decades ago. The annual average fluxes of Cd, Pb and Zn, which are major contamination elements, to the sea were 179 ± 21 tons/year, 7810 ± 675 tons/year, and 12,000 ± 1320 tons/year,respectively, in which approximately 8.7%, 11.9% and 2.7% of their loadings, respectively,were contributed by pollution inputs. Element exports mainly occurred in the summer(44.4%–57.4%) in the lower part of the Changjiang River. A general relationship between sediment retention and element content suggests a positive feedback mechanism for the decreased number of particles, in which element riverine loadings are reduced due to the enhanced trapping effect by the Three Gorges Dam(TGD). | 2 | Staggered Grid Scheme for the FFT-Based Methods显示文摘A staggered grid scheme is proposed to reduce both the total memory requirement and the CPU time of generating the corrected near matrix in the FFT- based methods. Two sets of Cartesian grids are used to project the source points and the field points, respectively. The proposed method does not lower the efficiency of computing far matrix-vector products, compared with the traditional uniform Cartesian grid scheme. | 3 | Epsilon-near-zero photonics:infinite potentials显示文摘With its unique and exclusive linear and nonlinear optical characteristics,epsilon-near-zero(ENZ)photonics has drawn a tremendous amount of attention in the recent decade in the fields of nanophotonics,nonlinear optics,plasmonics,light-matter interactions,material science,applied optical science,etc.The extraordinary optical properties,relatively high tuning flexibility,and CMOS compatibility of ENZ materials make them popular and competitive candidates for nanophotonic devices and on-chip integration in all-optical and electro-optical platforms.With exclusive features and high performance,ENZ photonics can play a big role in optical communications and optical data processing.In this review,we give a focused discussion on recent advances of the theoretical and experimental studies on ENZ photonics,especially in the regime of nonlinear ENZ nanophotonics and its applications.First,we overview the basics of the ENZ concepts,mechanisms,and nonlinear ENZ nanophotonics.Then the new advancements in theoretical and experimental optical physics are reviewed.For nanophotonic applications,the recent decades saw rapid developments in various kinds of different ENZ-based devices and systems,which are discussed and analyzed in detail.Finally,we give our perspectives on where future endeavors can be made. | JIAYE WU ZE TAO XIE YANHUA SHA H.Y.FU QIAN LI | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,8: | 4 |
| 4 | Fast Image Segmentation Algorithm Based on Salient Features Model and Spatial-frequency Domain Adaptive Kernel显示文摘A fast image segmentation algorithm based on salient features model and spatial-frequency domain adaptive kernel is proposed to solve the accurate discriminate objects problem of online visual detection in such scenes of variable sample morphological characteristics,low contrast and complex background texture.Firstly,by analyzing the spectral component distribution and spatial contour feature of the image,a salient feature model is established in spatial-frequency domain.Then,the salient object detection method based on Gaussian band-pass filter and the design criterion of adaptive convolution kernel are proposed to extract the salient contour feature of the target in spatial and frequency domain.Finally,the selection and growth rules of seed points are improved by integrating the gray level and contour features of the target,and the target is segmented by seeded region growing.Experiments have been performed on Berkeley Segmentation Data Set,as well as sample images of online detection,to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.The experimental results show that the Jaccard Similarity Coefficient of the segmentation is more than 90%,which indicates that the proposed algorithm can availably extract the target feature information,suppress the background texture and resist noise interference.Besides,the Hausdorff Distance of the segmentation is less than 10,which infers that the proposed algorithm obtains a high evaluation on the target contour preservation.The experimental results also show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the operation efficiency while obtaining comparable segmentation performance over other algorithms. | WU Fupei LIANG Jiaye LI Shengping | 2022 | Instrumentation2022,9,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Extraordinary characteristics for one-dimensional parity-time-symmetric periodic ring optical waveguide networks显示文摘In this paper, we design a one-dimensional(1D) parity-time-symmetric periodic ring optical waveguide network(PTSPROWN) and investigate its extraordinary optical characteristics. It is found that quite different from traditional vacuum/dielectric optical waveguide networks, 1D PTSPROWN cannot produce a photonic ordinary propagation mode, but can generate simultaneously two kinds of photonic nonpropagation modes: attenuation propagation mode and gain propagation mode. It creates neither passband nor stopband and possesses no photonic band structure. | 7 | Electronic structural engineering of bimetallic Bi-Cu alloying nanosheet for highly-efficient CO_(2) electroreduction and Zn-CO_(2) batteries显示文摘Regulating the electronic structure of Bi-based materials by alloying engineering is promising to promote the electrocatalytic activity,but it remains some challenges to be solved.In this study,a facile electrochemical co-deposition strategy is developed to synthesize the bimetallic Bi_(9)Cu_(1) alloy nanosheet on carbon cloth(Bi_(9)Cu_(1)/CC),which represents a novel self-supporting electrode for the electrocatalytic carbon dioxide(CO_(2))reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).The Bi_(9)Cu_(1)/CC catalyst has achieved a remarkable catalytic performance with high Faradaic efficiencies(FE)of over 90%for formate at wide potentials from-0.7 to-1.2 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).Moreover,the reversible Zn-CO_(2) battery can be driven by Bi_(9)Cu_(1)/CC cathode with a largest power density of 1.4 mW·cm^(-2),and superior operating stability.The systematic characterizations and electrochemical results confirm that the improved catalytic active sites,the enhanced mass/charge transport and the optimal reaction kinetics of Bi nanosheet are realized for CO_(2)RR by Cu alloying.In situ attenuated total reflection infrared(ATR-IR)result confirms the bimetallic Bi-Cu active sites prefer to follow the^(*)OCHO conversion pathway.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations suggest that the Cu alloying contributes to the increased density of states near the Fermi surface of Bi and the optimized adsorption of^(*)OCHO intermediates on the Bi sites,resulting in the excellent catalytic performance. | Wenbo Wu Jiaye Zhu Yun Tong Shuangfei Xiang Pengzuo Chen | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0 |
| 8 | Potential mechanisms of non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)in major depressive disorder:a systematic review显示文摘Background Non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)is a frequent and prominent phenomenon in major depressive disorder(MDD).Even though its prevalence and risk factors are relatively well understood,the potential mechanisms of NSSI in MDD remain elusive.Aims To review present evidence related to the potential mechanisms of NSSI in MDD.Methods According to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 guidelines,articles for this systematic review were searched on Medline(through PubMed),Embase(through Elsevier),PsycINFO(through OVID)and Web of Science databases for English articles,as well as China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),SinoMed,Wanfang Data,and the Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical(VIP)Databases for Chinese articles published from the date of inception to 2 August 2022.Two researchers(BW,HZ)independently screened studies based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and assessed their quality.Results A total of 25157 studies were searched.Only 25 of them were ultimately included,containing 3336 subjects(1535 patients with MDD and NSSI,1403 patients with MDD without NSSI and 398 HCs).Included studies were divided into 6 categories:psychosocial factors(11 studies),neuroimaging(8 studies),stress and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal(HPA)axis(2 studies),pain perception(1 study),electroencephalogram(EEG)(2 studies)and epigenetics(1 study).Conclusions This systematic review indicates that patients with MDD and NSSI might have specific psychosocial factors,aberrant brain functions and neurochemical metabolisms,HPA axis dysfunctions,abnormal pain perceptions and epigenetic alterations. | Baichuan Wu Huifeng Zhang Jinghong Chen Jiaye Chen Zhifen Liu Yuqi Cheng Tifei Yuan Daihui Peng | 2023 | General Psychiatry2023,36,4: | 0 |
