1Removal of nitric oxide from simulated flue gas via denitrification in a hollow-fiber membrane bioreactor显示文摘A hollow-fiber membrane bioreactor(HMBR) was studied for its ability to treat nitric oxide(NO) from simulated flue gas. The HMBR was operated for 9 months and showed a maximum elimination capacity of 702 mg NO/(m2·day) with a removal efciency of 86%(gas residence time of 30 sec, inlet NO concentration of 2680 mg/m3, pH 8). Varying operation parameters were tested to determine the stability and response of the HMBR. Both the inlet NO concentration and gas residence time influenced the removal of NO in the HMBR. NO elimination capacity increased with an increase in inlet NO concentration or a shortening of gas residence time. Higher removal efciency of NO was obtained at a longer gas residence time or a lower inlet NO concentration. Microbial communities of the HMBR were sensitive to the variation in pH value and alkalescence corresponding to an optimum pH value of 8. In addition, NO elimination capacity and removal efciency were inversely proportional to the inlet oxygen concentration. Sulfur dioxide had no great influence on elimination capacity and removal efciency of NO. Product analysis was performed to study N2O and N2 production and confirmed that the majority of the microorganisms were denitrifying bacteria in the HMBR. 2Inhibition of the lncRNA DANCR attenuates cardiomyocyte injury induced by oxygen-glucose deprivation via the miR-19a-3p/MAPK1 axis显示文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)have been considered as crucial regulators of acute myocardial infarction(AMI).In this study,to analyze the effect of differentiation antagonizing nonprotein coding RNA(DANCR)of lncRNA on cardiomyocyte damage in AMI,cardiomyocyte injury was induced by oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD).Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay and flow cytometry were used to assess cell viability and apoptosis,respectively.Quantitative real-time PCR was used to measure the expression levels of DANCR and miR-19a-3p.Bioinformatics analysis and luciferase gene reporter assay were utilized to explore the relationship among DANCR,miR-19a-3p,and mitogen-activated protein kinase 1(MAPK1).CCK-8 and TUNEL assays were used to explore the effects of DANCR alone or plus miR-19a-3p on the viability and apoptosis of OGD/R-exposed HL-1 cells.Western blot analysis was used to detect changes in the MAPK1/ERK1/2 pathway in HL-1 cells.We found that DANCR expression and miR-19a-3p level are negatively correlated as DANCR expression is increased,while miR-19a-3p level is decreased in AMI patients’serum and OGD/R-exposed HL-1 cells.DANCR knockdown increased miR-19a-3p level,and miR-19a-3p inhibition increased DANCR expression.Moreover,DANCR directly binds to miR-19a-3p.DANCR knockdown reduced viability but induced apoptosis in OGD/R-exposed HL-1 cells,while miR-19a-3p inhibition weakens these effects.Furthermore,MAPK1 is a target of miR-19a-3p.miR-19a-3p overexpression decreases MAPK1 and ERK1/2 in HL-1 cells,while miR-19a-3p inhibition increases MAPK1 and ERK1/2 in HL-1 cells.Moreover,DANCR knockdown reduces myocardium apoptosis in mice with the left anterior descending artery ligated.DANCR knockdown effectively restores myocardial cell apoptosis by regulating the miR-19a-3p/MAPK1/ERK1/2 axis.Yang Ruan Hong Li Xiaojing Cao Shuai Meng Ruofei Jia Lianmei Pu Hao Fu Zening Jin 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,10:4

5Reductive transformation of p-nitrotoluene by a new iron-fly ash packing显示文摘A new iron-fly ash packing was studied for reductive transformation of p-nitrotoluene. The packing was made of iron, fly ash and kaolin with the mass ratio of 36:7:2. A reactor was designed to investigate the long-term performance of the packing. The results showed that the reduction of p-nitrotoluene increased with decreasing pH, because the reduction potential of reaction increased with the concentration of H+. The pH was one of the key factors impacting the reductive transformation of p-nitrotoluene. Comparing iron-activated carbon packing with the new iron-fly ash packing, the reduction efficiencies were respectively 76.61% and 75.36% after20 days. The reduction efficiency for both was around 50% at 40 days. It was evident that these two kinds of packing had no significant difference in their capability for p-nitrotoluene reductive transformation. Compared with iron-activated carbon, the new iron-fly ash packing had obvious advantages in terms of manufacturing costs and environmental pollution degradation.
