1The Rb-Sr isochron of ore and pyrite sub-samples from Linglong gold deposit, Jiaodong Peninsula, eastern China and their geological significance显示文摘Here we report the first direct Rb-Sr dating of pyrites and ores using sub-sampling from lode gold deposits in Linglong, Jiaodong Peninsula, which is a supra-large lode gold deposit and propose this as a useful geochronological technique for gold mineralization with poor age constraint. The Rb-Sr data of pyrites yield an isochron age of (121.6±8.1) Ma, whereas those of ore and ore-pyrite spread in two ranges from 120.0 to 121.8 Ma and from 110.0 to 111.7 Ma. Studies of characteristic of gold deposit and microscopy of pyrite and quartz indicate that the apparent ages of ore and ore-pyrite are not isochron ages, only mixed by two end members, i.e. the primitive hydrothermal fluids and wall rocks, whereas the isochron age of pyrite sub-samples constrains the age of gold mineralization (121.6±8.1) Ma, i.e. early Cretaceous, which is in good agreement with the published SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages.Jinhui Yang Xinhua Zhou 2000Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,24:47

3Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. 4Optimal power allocation for secure directional modulation networks with a full-duplex UAV user显示文摘This paper makes an investigation of a secure unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-aided communication network based on directional modulation(DM). In this network, ground base station(GBS) acts as a control center to transmit confidential message and artificial noise(AN). The UAV user, moving along a linear flight trajectory, is intended to receive the useful information from GBS. At the same time, it also sends AN signals to further interference eavesdropper’s channel. Aiming at maximizing secrecy rate during the UAV flight process, a joint optimization problem is formulated with respect to power allocation(PA)factors, beamforming vector and AN projection matrices. For simplicity, maximum rate transmission, nullspace projection and the leakage-based method are applied to form the transmit beamforming vector, AN projection matrix at GBS, and AN projection vector at UAV user, respectively. Following this, the optimization problem reduces to a bivariate optimization programme with two PA factors. An alternating iterative algorithm(AIA) is proposed to optimize the two PA factors. 5Multidisciplinary design optimization of adaptive wing leading edge显示文摘Adaptive wing can significantly enhance aircraft aerodynamic performance, which refers to aerodynamic and structural opti-mization designs. This paper introduces a two-step approach to solve the interrelated problems of the adaptive leading edge. In the first step, the procedure of airfoil optimization is carried out with an initial configuration of NACA 0006. On the basis of the combination of design of experiment (DOE), response surface method (RSM) and genetic algorithm (GA), an adaptive air-foil can be obtained whose lift-to-drag ratio is larger than the baseline airfoil's at the given angle of attack and subsonic speed.The next step is to design a compliant structure to achieve the target airfoil shape, which is the optimization result of the previous step. In order to minimize the deviation of the deformed shape from the target shape, the load path representation topology method is presented. This method is developed by way of GA, with size and shape optimization incorporated in it simul-taneously. 6Fragment Propagation and Colonization Ability Enhanced and Varied at Node Level after Escaping from Apical Dominance in Submerged Macrophytes显示文摘Aquatic plants develop strong fragment propagation and colonization ability to endure the natural disturbances. However,detailed research of ability to endure the natural disturbances has been lacking to date. Therefore,reproduction(shoot) and colonization(root) of shoot fragments of Potamogeton crispus L. with or without apices were investigated for the effect of apical dominance,and the growth of decapitated shoot fragments at three lengths(2,4,6 cm) was compared. Meanwhile,fragment propagation at levels of bud position was studied for bud position effect after escaping from apical dominance. The results showed significant increases occurred in the outgrowth of lateral branches on fragments decapitated compared with the fragments with apices,implying that apical dominance exists. Different lengths of fragments showed little difference in biomass allocations,but significant differences were noted in their propagation. Meanwhile,the effect of bud position was verified,due to the significant difference of average reproduction per node among the three length groups. 7Detecting Compromised Kernel Hooks with Support of Hardware Debugging Features显示文摘Although there exist a few good schemes to protect the kernel hooks of operating systems, attackers are still able to circumvent existing defense mechanisms with spurious context information. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a framework, called HookIMA, to detect compromised kernel hooks by using hardware debugging features. The key contribution of the work is that context information is captured from hardware instead of from relatively vulnerable kernel data. Using commodity hardware, a proof-of-concept prototype system of HookIMA has been developed. This prototype handles 3 082 dynamic control-flow transfers with related hooks in the kernel space. Experiments show that HookIMA is capable of detecting compromised kernel hooks caused by kernel rootkits. 8DCFl-Checker: Checking Kernel Dynamic Control Flow Integrity with Performance Monitoring Counter显示文摘It is a challenge to verify integrity of dynamic control flows due to their dynamic and volatile nature.To meet the challenge,existing solutions usually implant an 'attachment' in each control transfer.However,the attachment introduces additional cost except performance penalty.For example,the attachment must be unique or restrictedly modified.In this paper,we propose a novel approach to detect integrity of dynamic control flows by counting executed branch instructions without involving any attachment.Our solution is based on the following observation.If a control flow is compromised,the number of executed branch instructions will be abnormally increased.The cause is that intruders usually hijack control flows for malicious execution which absolutely introduces additional branch instructions.Inspired by the above observation,in this paper,we devise a novel system named DCFIChecker,which detect integrity corruption of dynamic control flows with the support of Performance Monitoring Counter(PMC).We have developed a proof-of-concept prototype system of DCFI-Checker on Linux fedora 5.Our experiments with existing kernel rootkits and buffer overflow attack show that DCFIChecker is effective to detect compromised dynamic control transfer,and performance evaluations indicate that performance penalty induced by DCFI-Checker is acceptable.SHI Wenchang ZHOU Hongwei YUAN Jinhui LIANG Bin 2014China Communications2014,11,9:2
9A hydrothermal investigation system for the Qianlong-Ⅱ autonomous underwater vehicle显示文摘Qianlong-Ⅱ is a fully autonomous underwater vehicle designed for the investigation of submarine resources,particularly polymetallic sulfides. It was used to successfully explore hydrothermal fields on the Southwest Indian Ridge. Here, we summarized the exploration of hydrothermal systems using Qianlong-Ⅱ, including detailed descriptions of its implementation along with the systems used for data management and fast mapping. We also introduced a method to remove platform magnetic interference using magnetic data while Qianlong-Ⅱ is spinning. Based on hydrothermal anomalies collected by Qianlong-Ⅱ, we developed a rapid method for locating hydrothermal vents. 10Robust sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) nanochannels for high-performance osmotic energy conversion显示文摘The membrane-based reverse electrodialysis(RED)technique has a fundamental role in harvesting clean and sustainable osmotic energy existing in the salinity gradient.However;the current designs of membranes cannot cope with the high output power density and robustness.Here;we construct a sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone)(SPEEK)nanochannel membrane with numerous nanochannels for a membrane-based osmotic power generator.The parallel nanochannels with high space charges show excellent cation-selectivity;which could further be improved by adjusting the length and charge density of nanochannels.Based on numerical simulation,the system with space charge shows better conductivity and selectivity than those of a surface-charged nanochannel.The output power density of our proposed membrane-based device reaches up to 5.8 W/m^2 by mixing artificial seawater and river water.Additionally;the SPEEK membranes exhib让good mechanical properties,endowing the possibility of creating a high-endurance scale-up membrane-based generator system.We believe that this work provides useful insights into material design and fluid transport for the power generator in osmotic energy conversion.Yuanyuan Zhao Jin Wang Xiang-Yu Kong Weiwen Xin Teng Zhou Yongchao Qian Linsen Yang Jinhui Pang Lei Jiang Liping Wen 2020National Science Review2020,7,8:2
11The promises, challenges and pathways to room-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Room-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries(RT-Na-S batteries) are attractive for large-scale energy storage applications owing to their high storage capacity as well as the rich abundance and low cost of the materials.Unfortunately, their practical application is hampered by severe challenges, such as low conductivity of sulfur and its reduced products, volume expansion, polysulfide shuttling effect and Na dendrite formation,which can lead to rapid capacity fading. The review discusses the Na-S-energy-storage chemistry,highlighting its promise, key challenges and potential strategies for large-scale energy storage systems.Specifically, we review the electrochemical principles and the current technical challenges of RT-Na-S batteries, and discuss the strategies to address these obstacles. 19Theoretical analysis of PAM-N and M-QAM BER computation with single-sideband signal显示文摘In this paper,the theoretical bit error rate(BER)of N-level pulse amplitude modulation(PAMN)and M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation(M-QAM)have been studied and compared under different scenarios,including(i)PAM with intensity modulation with direct detection(IM/DD)and field modulation with detection(FMD)(including coherent detection and single-sideband modulation with direct detection(SSB-DD)),and(ii)QAM with coherent detection and SSB-DD.Considering the relationship between the symbol spacing and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),we provide the mathematical BER equations,including the optical signal-to-noise ratio(OSNR)and carrier-to-signal power ratio(CSPR),especially for PAM signals.To verify the validity of our theoretical expressions for SSB systems,transmissions with 224-Gb/s SSBPAM4/16QAM signals using the Kramers-Kronig(KK)receiver were implemented on a unified optical system platform.The simulation results agreed well with theoretical calculations both in back-to-back(BtB)and 120-km transmission scenarios,which showed that the BER evaluation methods can serve as a theoretical guidance and system assessment criteria for SSB scenarios.Dongxu LU Xian ZHOU Yuqiang YANG Jiahao HUO Jinhui YUAN Keping LONG Changyuan YU Alan Pak Tao LAU Chao LU 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,8:1
