5Mechanistic insight into gold nanorod transformation in nanoscale confinement of ZIF-8显示文摘Core-shell hybrid nanomaterials have shown new properties and functions that are not attainable by their single counterparts.Nanoscale confinement effect by porous inorganic shells in the hybrid nanostructures plays an important role for chemical transformation of the core nanoparticles.However,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have been rarely applied for understanding mechanical insight into such nanoscale phenomena in confinement,although MOFs would provide a variety of properties for the confining environment than other inorganic shells such as silica and zeolite.Here,we examine chemical transformation of a gold nanorod core enclosed by a zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)through chemical etching and regrowth,followed by quantitative analysis in the core dimension and curvature.We find the nanorod core shows template-effective behavior in its morphological transformation.In the etching event,the nanorod core is spherically carved from its tips.The regrowth on the spherically etched core inside the ZIF gives rise toformation of a raspberry-like branched nanostructure in contrast to the growth of an octahedral shape in bulk condition.We attribute the shell-directed regrowth to void space generated at the interfaces between the etched core and the ZIF shell,intercrystalline gaps in mult-domain ZIF shells,and local structural deformation from the acidic reaction conditions.Cheongwon Bae Jaedeok Lee Lehan Yao Suhyeon Park Yeonju Lee Jieun Lee Qian Chen Juyeong Kim 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:0
6Laser-driven self-exfoliation of graphene oxide layers on a fiber facet for Q switching of an Er-doped fiber laser at the longest wavelength显示文摘A new method to make an all-fiber nonlinear optic device for laser pulse generation is developed by depositing multi-layer graphene oxide(GO)selectively onto the core of the cleaved fiber facet by combining the electrical arc discharge and the laser-driven self-exfoliation.Using the GO colloid droplet with sub-nanoliter volume,we obtained a GO bulk layer deposited on a fiber facet of the order of milliseconds by using an electric arc.The prepared fiber facet was then included in an Er-doped fiber laser(EDFL)cavity and we obtained a few layers of GO having nonlinear optic two-dimensional(2D)characteristics selectively on the fiber core by the laser-driven self-exfoliation.The 2D GO layers on the fiber core served as a stable and efficient saturable absorber enabling robust pulse train generation atλ1600.5 nm,the longest Q-switched laser wavelength in EDFLs.Pulse characteristics were analyzed as we varied the pump power atλ980 nm from 105.2 mW to 193.6 mW,to obtain the maximum repetition rate of 17.8 kHz and the maximum output power of 2.3 mW with the minimum pulse duration of 7.8μs.The proposed method could be further applied to other novel inorganic 2D materials opening a window to explore their novel nonlinear optic laser applications.BYUNGJOO KIM SEONGJIN HONG JAEDEOK PARK YONGSOO LEE DONG-IL YEOM KYUNGHWAN OH 2020Photonics Research2020,8,8:0
7Performance Modeling and Analysis of Broadcast Packets in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks显示文摘In this paper;we analyze the performance of a broadcast packet in a VANET with the slotted ALOHA protocol where locations of vehicles are modeled by a one-dimensional Poisson point process. We consider the packet delivery probability under a broadcast delay constraint. Since the successful transmission of a broadcast packet is significantly affected by interferences at receivers which are spatially correlated,让 is important to capture the spatial correlations properly in order to obtain an accurate expression of the packet delivery probability in a VANET. However, the exact analysis of the spatial correlations in interference is not mathematically tractable. In this paper we provide an accurate approximation of the spatial correlations in interference and derive the packet delivery probability with the help of the approximation.
