1Solution-processed wafer-scale nanoassembly of conducting polymers enables selective ultratrace nerve agent detection at low power显示文摘There is a great interest in developing microelectronic devices based on nanostructured conducting polymers that can selectively electro-couple analytes at high sensitivity and low power.Nanostructured conducting polymers have emerged as promising candidates for this technology due to their excellent stability with low redox potential,high conductivity,and selectivity endowed by chemical functionalization.However,it remains challenging to develop cost-effective and large-scale assembly approaches for functionalized conducting polymers in the practical fabrication of electronic devices.Here,we reported a straightforward waferscale assembly of nanostructured hexafluoroisopropanol functionalized poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT-HFIP)on smooth substrates.This approach is template-free,solution-processed,and adaptable to conductive and nonconductive substrates.By this approach,the nanostructured PEDOT-HFIPs could be easily integrated onto interdigitated electrodes with intimate ohmic contact.At the optimized space-to-volume ratio,we demonstrated a low-power,sensitive,and selective nerve agent sensing technology using this platform by detecting sarin vapor with a limit of detection(LOD)of 10 ppb and signal strength of 400 times the water interference at the same concentration,offering significant advantages over existing similar technologies.We envision that its easy scale-up,micro size,small power consumption,and combination of high sensitivity and selectivity make it attractive for various wearable platforms.Bin Luo Jianan Weng Zhi Geng Qichao Pan Xilin Pei Yong He Chuanzhi Chen Hongxing Zhang Renbo Wei Yupeng Yuan Jin Yang Jinyi Ma Zhengwei You Bo Zhu 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
2Sequence memory based on an oscillatory neural network显示文摘In the brain,the discrete elements in a temporal order is encoded as a sequence memory.At the neural level,the reproducible sequence order of neural activity is very crucial for many cases.In this paper,a mechanism for oscillation in the network has been proposed to realize the sequence memory.The mechanism for oscillation in the network that cooperates with hetero-association can help the network oscillate between the stored patterns,leading to the sequence memory.Due to the oscillatory mechanism,the firing history will not be sampled,the stability of the sequence is increased,and the evolvement of neurons’states only depends on the current states.The simulation results show that neural network can effectively achieve sequence memory with our proposed model.XIA Min WENG LiGuo WANG ZhiJie FANG JianAn 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,7:0

4Four-wave mixing in 1.3 μm epitaxial quantum dot lasers directly grown on silicon显示文摘This work compares the four-wave mixing(FWM)effect in epitaxial quantum dot(QD)lasers grown on silicon with quantum well(QW)lasers.A comparison of theory and experiment results shows that the measured FWM coefficient is in good agreement with theoretical predictions.The gain in signal power is higher for p-doped QD lasers than for undoped lasers,despite the same FWM coefficient.Owing to the near-zero linewidth enhancement factor,QD lasers exhibit FWM coefficients and conversion efficiency that are more than one order of magnitude higher than those of QW lasers.Thus,this leads to self-mode locking in QD lasers.These findings are useful for developing on-chip sources for photonic integrated circuits on silicon.JIANAN DUAN BOZHANG DONG WENG W.CHOW HEMING HUANG SHIHAO DING SONGTAO LIU JUSTIN C.NORMAN JOHN E.BOWERS FREDEIC GRILLOT 2022Photonics Research2022,10,5:0
