| 1 | Clinical manifestations and pathogen characteristics in children admitted for suspected COVID-19显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2),has spread around the world.However,approaches to distinguish COVID-19 from pneumonia caused by other pathogens have not yet been reported.We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 97 children with probable COVID-19.A total of 13(13.4%)patients were confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection by nucleic acid RT-PCR testing,and 41(42.3%)patients were found to be infected with other pathogens.Notably,no pathogen was detected in 43(44.3%)patients.Among all patients,25(25.8%)had familial cluster exposure history,and 52(53.6%)had one or more coexisting conditions.Fifteen(15.5%)patients were admitted or transferred to the PICU.In the 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases,5(45.5%)and 7(63.6%)were positive for IgM and IgG against SARS-CoV-2,respectively.In 22 patients with suspected COVID-19,1(4.5%)was positive for IgG but negative for IgM.The most frequently detected pathogen was Mycoplasma pneumonia(29,29.9%).One patient with confirmed COVID-19 died.Our results strongly indicated that the detection of asymptomatic COVID-19 or coexisting conditions must be strengthened in pediatric patients.These cases may be difficult to diagnose as COVID-19 unless etiologic analysis is conducted.A serologic test can be a useful adjunctive diagnostic tool in cases where SARS-CoV-2 infection is highly suspected but the nucleic acid test is negative. | Xiaofang Cai Hanlan Jiang Simin Zhang Shengying Xia Wenhui Du Yaoling Ma Tao Yu Wenbin Li | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,6: | 2 |
| 2 | Linking the electron donation capacity to the molecular composition of soil dissolved organic matter from the Three Gorges Reservoir areas,China显示文摘Soil dissolved organic matter(DOM)plays an essential role in the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR)as a linkage between terrestrial and aquatic systems.In particular,the reducing capacities of soil DOM influence the geochemistry of contaminants such as mercury(Hg).However,few studies have investigated the molecular information of soil DOM and its relationship with relevant geochemic al reactivities,including redox properties.We collected samples from eight sites in the TGR areas and studied the link between the molecular characteristics of DOM and their electron donation capacities(EDCs)toward Hg(II).The average kinetic rate and EDC of soil DOM in TGR areas were(0.004±0.001)hr-1 and(2.88±1.39)nmol e-/mg DOMbulk,respectively.Results suggest that higher EDCs and relatively rapid kinetics were related to the greater electron donating components of ligninderived and perhaps pyrogenic DOM,which are the aromatic constituents that influenced the reducing capacities of DOM in the present study.Molecular details revealed that even the typical autochthonous markers are important for the EDCs of DOM as well,in contrast to what is generally assumed.More studies identifying specific DOM molecular components involved in the abiotic reduction of Hg(II)are required to further understand the relations between DOM sources and their redox roles in the environmental fate of contaminants. | Tao Jiang Joeri Kaal Jiang Liu Jian Liang Yaoling Zhang Dingyong Wang | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,4: | 2 |

| 6 | High Power 170 GHz Frequency Doubler Based on Ga As Schottky Diodes显示文摘The research on high power 170 GHz frequency doubler based on the Ga As Schottky diodes is proposed in this paper. This basic doubler cell is developed with a 50-μm-thick, 600-μm-wide, and 2-mm-long Al N substrate with high thermal conductivity to reduce the thermal effect. Besides, power combined frequency doubler has been fabricated to improve the power capacity by a factor of two. Great agreement has been achieved between the simulated results based on electrothermal model and measured performances. At room temperature, the 3 d B bandwidth of the single doubler based on Ga As Schottky diodes is 11.8% over the frequency range from 160 to 180 GHz with pumping power of 150 to330 m W. And the peak efficiency of the doubler is measured to be 33.1%, while the maximum output power is101.7 m W at 174.08 GHz. As for power combined circuit,the best efficiency is 30.1% with a related output power of204.6 m W. | 8 | A Broadband 630-720 GHz Schottky Based Sub-Harmonic Mixer Using Intrinsic Resonances of Hammer-Head Filter显示文摘An room temperature low noise anti-parallel Schottky diode based 630-720 GHz sub-harmonic mixer(SHM) is designed, built and measured. Intrinsic resonances in lowpass hammer-head filter have been adopted to prevent the LO and RF power leak from the IF channel, while greatly minimizing the transmission line size. The mixer consists of 15 um quartz terahertz circuit and 127 um Al2 O3 IF transformer circuit. An improved lumped element equivalent noise model of SBDs guarantees the accuracy of simulation. The measurement indicates that with local oscillating(LO)signal of 2-8 mW, the lowest double sideband(DSB) conversion loss is 8.2 dB at 645 GHz,and the best DSB noise temperature is 2800 K at 657 GHz. The 3 dB bandwidth of conversion loss is 75 GHz from 638 to 715 GHz.
