Effect of graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs)addition on strength and ductility of magnesium-titanium alloys显示文摘Effect of graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs)addition on mechanical properties of magnesium–10wt%Titanium(Mg–10Ti)alloy is investigated in current work. The Mg-(10Ti+0.18GNPs)composite was synthesized using the semi powder metallurgy method followed by hot extrusion.Microstructural characterization results revealed the uniform distribution of reinforcement(Ti+GNPs)particles in the matrix, therefore(Ti+GNPs)particles act as an effective reinforcing filler to prevent the deformation.Room temperature tensile results showed that the addition of Ti+GNPs to monolithic Mg lead to increase in 0.2%yield strength(0.2%YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS),and failure strain.Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy(EDS)and X-Ray Diffraction(XRD)were used to investigate the surface morphology, elemental dispersion and phase analysis, respectively. | Muhammad Rashad Fusheng Pan Aitao Tang Yun Lu Muhammad Asif Shahid Hussain Jia She Jun Gou Jianjun Mao | 2013 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2013,1,3: | 10

Microclimate and CO_2 fluxes on continuous fine days in the Xihu desert wetland,China显示文摘The Xihu desert wetland is located in an extremely arid area in Dunhuang,Gansu province of Northwest China. The area is home to an unusual geographic and ecological environment that is considered unique, both in China and the world.Microclimate is not only related to topography, but is also affected by the physical properties of underlying ground surfaces.Microclimate and CO2 flux have different characteristics under different underlying surface conditions. However, until now,few studies have investigated the microclimate characteristics and CO2 flux in this area. The eddy covariance technique(ECT) is a widely used and effective method for studying such factors in different ecosystems.Basing on data from continuous fine days obtained in the Dunhuang Xihu desert wetland between September 2012 and September 2013,this paper discussed and compared the characteristics of daily microclimate variations and CO2 fluxes between the two periods. Results from both years showed that there was a level of turbulent mixing and updraft in the area, and that the turbulent momentum flux was controlled by wind shear under good weather conditions. The horizontal wind velocity, friction wind velocity and vertical wind velocity were commendably consistent with each other.Air temperature in the surface layer followed an initial decreasing trend, followed by an increasing then decreasing trend under similar net radiation conditions. With changes in air temperature, the soil temperature in the surface layer follows a more obvious sinusoidal fluctuation than that in the subsoil.Components of ground surface radiation during the two study periods showed typical diurnal variations. The maximum diurnal absorption of CO2 occurred at around 11:00(Beijing time) in the Xihu desert wetland, and the concentrations of CO2 in both periods gradually decreased with time. This area was therefore considered to act as a carbon sink during the two observation periods. | QianQian GOU JianJun QU ZhiWen HAN | 2015 | Journal of Arid Land2015,7,3: | 0
Diversity of soil bacteria and fungi communities in artificial forests of the sandy-hilly region of Northwest China显示文摘Soil erosion is a serious issue in the sandy-hilly region of Shanxi Province,Northwest China. There has been gradual improvement due to vegetation restoration, but soil microbial community characteristics in different vegetation plantation types have not been widely investigated. To address this,we analyzed soil bacterial and fungal community structures, diversity, and microbial and soil environmental factors in Caragana korshinskii Kom.,Populus tomentosa Carr.,Populus simonii Carr.,Salix matsudana Koidz, and Pinus tabulaeformis Carr.forests.There were no significant differences in the dominant bacterial community compositions among the five forest types. The alpha diversity of the bacteria and fungi communities showed that ACE(abundance-based coverage estimator),Chao1,and Shannon indices in C.korshinskii forest were significantly higher than those in the other four forest types(P<0.05).Soil organic matter, total nitrogen, and urease had a greater impact on bacterial community composition, while total nitrogen,β-glucosidase,and urease had a greater impact on fungal community composition. The relative abundance of beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms was similar across all forest types.Based on microbial community composition, diversity, and soil fertility,we ranked the plantations from most to least suitable as follows:C.korshinskii,S.matsudana,P.tabulaeformis,P.tomentosa,and P.simonii. | GOU Qianqian MA Gailing QU Jianjun WANG Guohua | 2023 | Journal of Arid Land2023,15,1: | 0
Succession of soil bacterial and fungal communities of Caragana korshinskii plantation in a typical agro-pastoral ecotone in northern China over a 50-a period显示文摘Bacterial and fungal communities play critical roles in reestablishing vegetation structure, function and biodiversity in ecosystem restoration in arid and semi-arid areas. However, the long-term successional changes in bacterial and fungal communities that occur with artificial vegetation development are not fully understood. In this study,we investigated the successional changes in bacterial and fungal communities in Caragana korshinskii Kom.plantation over a period of 50 a(6,12,18,40 and 50 a)and their relationships with key soil environmental factors in a typical agro-pastoral ecotone, northern China. The results showed that bacterial and fungal diversities(α-andβ-diversity)were significantly affected by plantation age;moreover, the change in fungal community was more evident than that in bacterial community.Soil samples from 12 a plantation had the highest(P<0.05)bacterial and fungalα-diversity(i.e.,abundance-based coverage estimator(ACE)and Chao1 index)at 0-10 cm depth compared with other samples. However, soil samples from plantation at the late recovery stage(40-50 a)had the highestα-diversity at 10-20 cm depth.Soil bacterial community was not significantly affected by plantation age at the genus level;but, soil fungal community was significantly affected at the genus level.Overall,Mortierella and Chaetomium were the dominant genera at natural recovery stage(0 a);Inocybe was the dominant genus at the early recovery stage(6-12 a);Inocybe and Mortierella were the dominant genera at the mid-recovery stage(12-40 a);And Mortierella,Cladosporium and Humicola were the dominant genera at the late recovery stage(40-50 a).Redundancy analysis(RDA)showed thatβ-glucosidase activity, total nitrogen and soil organic carbon were closely associated with bacterial community composition, while alkaline phosphatase, urease activity and total nitrogen were associated with fungal community composition, indicating that changes in enzyme activity and soil nutrients were the most important determinants of dominant genera.Furthermore, pathogenic microorganisms(Cladosporium and Humicola)were dominant in soils from 40-50 a plantation, which may affect plant growth, resulting in the decline of C.korshinskii plantation.Overall, the findings of this study improve the understanding of ecological patterns of bacterial and fungal communities in artificial vegetation and provide an important scientific basis for comprehensive ecological restoration management in arid and semi-arid areas. | MA Gailing GOU Qianqian WANG Guohua QU Jianjun | 2021 | Journal of Arid Land2021,13,10: | 0
Clinical and immunological characteristics of vaccinated patients with COVID-19显示文摘To the Editor:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),is a serious public health crisis threatening human health and survival worldwide.[1]Reportedly,laboratory characteristics such as C-reactive protein, lactate dehydrogenase,D-dimer,plasma cytokines, blood platelets, and leukocytes are abnormal in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infections.[2,3]To enhance the protective immune response against SARS-CoV-2,vaccines have been rapidly developed and administered to healthy individuals or patients with various diseases in several countries.[4,5]However,some healthy individuals have still become infected with SARS-CoV-2 despite vaccination.Changes in the clinical and laboratory indices of vaccinated patients with COVID-19 remain unknown. In the present study,we report the effects of vaccination in patients with COVID-19. | Yu Ping Jianmin Huang Feifei Fan Yongjun Guo Jianjun Gou Yi Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,14: | 0
