| 1 | Identification of fruit and branch in natural scenes for citrus harvesting robot using machine vision and support vector machine显示文摘With the decrease of agricultural labor and the increase of production cost,the researches on citrus harvesting robot(CHR)have received more and more attention in recent years.For the success of robotic harvesting and the safety of robot,the identification of mature citrus fruit and obstacle is the priority of robotic harvesting.In this work,a machine vision system,which consisted of a color CCD camera and a computer,was developed to achieve these tasks.Images of citrus trees were captured under sunny and cloudy conditions.Due to varying degrees of lightness and position randomness of fruits and branches,red,green,and blue values of objects in these images are changed dramatically.The traditional threshold segmentation is not efficient to solve these problems.Multi-class support vector machine(SVM),which succeeds by morphological operation,was used to simultaneously segment the fruits and branches in this study.The recognition rate of citrus fruit was 92.4%,and the branch of which diameter was more than 5 pixels,could be recognized.The results showed that the algorithm could be used to detect the fruits and branches for CHR. | Lü Qiang Cai Jianrong Liu Bin Deng Lie Zhang Yajing | 2014 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2014,7,2: | 17 |

On this physical basis, the specific waveband of high efficiency for transmission of infrared rays exists in the collagenous fibre in a liquid crystal state. | 3 | Excavating bioactivities of nanozyme to remodel microenvironment for protecting chondrocytes and delaying osteoarthritis显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA)is the main cause of disability in the elderly.Effective intervention in the early and middle stage of osteoarthritis can greatly prevent or slow down the development of the disease,and reduce the probability of joint replacement.However,there is to date no effective intervention for early and middle-stage OA.OA microenvironment mainly destroys the balance of oxidative stress,extracellular matrix synthesis and degradation of chondrocytes under the joint action of biological and mechanical factors.Herein,hollow Prussian blue nanozymes(HPBzymes)were designed via a modified hydrothermal template-free method.The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of HPBzymes on chondrocytes and the progression of OA.The intrinsic bioactivities of HPBzymes were excavated in vitro and in vivo,remodeling microenvironment for significantly protecting chondrocytes and delaying the progression of traumatic OA by inhibiting reactive oxygen species(ROS)and Rac1/nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB)signaling in a rat model.HPBzyme significantly diminished interleukin(IL)-1β-stimulated inflammation,extracellular matrix degradation,and apoptosis of human chondrocytes.HPBzyme attenuated the expression of Rac1 and the ROS levels and prevented the release and nuclear translocation of NF-κB.Deeply digging the intrinsic bioactivities of nanozyme with single component to remodel microenvironment is an effective strategy for ROS-associated chronic diseases.This study reveals that excavating the bioactivities of nanomedicine deserves attention for diagnosis and treatment of severe diseases. | Weiduo Hou Chenyi Ye Mo Chen Wei Gao Xue Xie Jianrong Wu Kai Zhang Wei Zhang Yuanyi Zheng Xiaojun Cai | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,8: | 5 |
| 4 | Mid-infrared chalcogenide microfiber knot resonators显示文摘A novel type of mid-IR microresonator,the chalcogenide glass(ChG)microfiber knot resonator(MKR),is demonstrated,showing easy fabrication,fiber-compatible features,resonance tunability,and high robustness.ChG micro fibers with typical diameters around 3μm are taper-drawn from As2S3 glass fibers and assembled into MKRs in liquid without surface damage.The measured Q factor of a typical 824μm diameter ChG MKR is about 2.84×104 at the wavelength of 4469.14 nm.The free spectral range(FSR)of the MKR can be tuned from2.0 nm(28.4 GHz)to 9.6 nm(135.9 GHz)by tightening the knot structure in liquid.Benefitting from the high thermal expansion coefficient of As2S3 glass,the MKR exhibits a thermal tuning rate of 110 pm·℃^-1 at the resonance peak.When embedded in polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)film,a 551μm diameter MKR retains a Q factor of 1.1×10^4.The ChG MKRs demonstrated here are highly promising for resonator-based optical technologies and applications in the mid-IR spectral range. | YU XIE DAWEI CAI HAO WU JING PAN NING ZHOU CHENGUANG XIN SHAOLIANG YU PAN WANG XIAOSHUN JIANG JIANRONG QIU XIN GUO LIMIN TONG | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,4: | 3 |
| 5 | Application of biochar-based photocatalysts for adsorption-(photo)degradation/reduction of environmental contaminants:mechanism,challenges and perspective显示文摘The fast increase of population results in the quick development of industry and agriculture.Large amounts of contaminants such as metal ions and organic contaminants are released into the natural environment,posing a risk to human health and causing environment ecosystem problems.The efficient elimination of contaminants from aqueous solutions,photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants or the in-situ solidification/immobilization of heavy metal ions in solid phases are the most suitable strategies to decontaminate the pollution.Biochar and biochar-based composites have attracted multidisciplinary interests especially in environmental pollution management because of their porous structures,large amounts of functional groups,high adsorption capacities and photocatalysis performance.In this review,the application of biochar and biochar-based composites as adsorbents and/or catalysts for the adsorption of different contaminants,adsorption-photodegradation of organic pollutants,and adsorption-(photo)reduction of metal ions are summarized,and the mechanism was discussed from advanced spectroscopy analysis and DFT calculation in detail.The doping of metal or metal oxides is the main strategy to narrow the band gap,to increase the generation and separation of photogenerated e−-h+pairs,to produce more superoxide radicals(·O_(2)^(−))and hydroxyl radicals(·OH),to enhance the visible light absorption and to increase photocatalysis performance,which dominate the photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants and(photo)reduction of high valent metals to low valent metals.The biochar-based composites are environmentally friendly materials,which are promising candidates in environmental pollution cleanup.The challenge and perspective for biochar-based catalysts are provided in the end. | Yin Lu Yawen Cai Sai Zhang Li Zhuang Baowei Hu Suhua Wang Jianrong Chen Xiangke Wang | 2022 | Biochar2022,4,1: | 2 |
