1A property-oriented design strategy for high performance copper alloys via machine learning显示文摘Traditional strategies for designing new materials with targeted property including methods such as trial and error,and experiences of domain experts,are time and cost consuming.In the present study,we propose a machine learning design system involving three features of machine learning modeling,compositional design and property prediction,which can accelerate the discovery of new materials.We demonstrate better efficiency of on a rapid compositional design of high-performance copper alloys with a targeted ultimate tensile strength of 600–950 MPa and an electrical conductivity of 50.0%international annealed copper standard.There exists a good consistency between the predicted and measured values for three alloys from literatures and two newly made alloys with designed compositions.Our results provide a new recipe to realize the property-oriented compositional design for highperformance complex alloys via machine learning.Changsheng Wang Huadong Fu Lei Jiang Dezhen Xue Jianxin Xie 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:12
2Analysis and application in controlling surrounding rock of support reinforced roadway in gob-side entry with fully mechanized mining显示文摘In order to optimize gob-side entry in fully-mechanized working face in moderate-thick-coal seams, we adopt a new attempt to pack roadside by pumping ordinary concrete, which is very important for the development of gob-side entry technology. The concrete has a long initial setting time and a low initial strength. So it is difficult to control the surrounding rock. In this paper, we analyze the effect of using roadside cable to reinforce supporting in gob-side entry surrounding rock controlling based on elas-tic-plastic and material mechanics knowledge. And then we propose a scheme that cable is used to reinforce roadside supporting and a single hydraulic prop is used as the temporary supporting in gob side. Using the numerical simulation software FLAC2D, we numerically simulated supporting scheme. Results of both the 2D modeling and the industrial test on No.3117 face in Jingang Mine prove that the scheme is feasible. 3An Efficient and Stable Ionic Liquid System for Synthesis of Ethylene Glycol via Hydrolysis of Ethylene Carbonate显示文摘An ionic liquid system of [Bmim]X/[Bmim]OH(X Cl,BF4,and PF6,) was developed for the hydroly-sis of ethylene carbonate to ethylene glycol. The important parameters,such as the variety of ionic liquids,molar ratio of [Bmim]X to [Bmim]OH,amount of ionic liquid,molar ratio of water to ethylene carbonate,reaction tem-perature,pressure and reaction time,were investigated systematically. Excellent yield(>93%) and high selectivity(99.5%) of ethylene glycol were achieved. 6Linear spatial instability analysis in 3D boundary layers using plane-marching 3D-LPSE显示文摘It is widely accepted that a robust and efficient method to compute the linear spatial amplified rate ought to be developed in three-dimensional(3D) boundary layers to predict the transition with the e^N method,especially when the boundary layer varies significantly in the spanwise direction.The 3D-linear parabolized stability equation(3DLPSE) approach,a 3D extension of the two-dimensional LPSE(2D-LPSE),is developed with a plane-marching procedure for investigating the instability of a 3D boundary layer with a significant spanwise variation.The method is suitable for a full Mach number region,and is validated by computing the unstable modes in 2D and 3D boundary layers,in both global and local instability problems.The predictions are in better agreement with the ones of the direct numerical simulation(DNS) rather than a 2D-eigenvalue problem(EVP) procedure.These results suggest that the plane-marching 3D-LPSE approach is a robust,efficient,and accurate choice for the local and global instability analysis in 2D and 3D boundary layers for all free-stream Mach numbers.Jianxin LIU Shaolong ZHANG Song FU 2016Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2016,37,8:2
7Isolation and Identification of Photobacterium damselae subsp.damselae(PDD) from Tongue Sole显示文摘In May 2016,an epizootic occured among cultured tongue soles caused mass deaths in a fish farm in Qinhuangdao,China.In order to find out the etiological agent,a bacterial strain was isolated from ascites and other tissues of sick tongue sole aseptically collected.The isolate was identified as Photobacterium damselae subsp.damsela(PDD) by isolation culture,Gram staining,physiological identification,morohological observation,biochemical identification and 16S rDNA sequence analysis.The results showed that the isolate shared 99.6% homology with the reference strain in GenBank.The animal regression test displayed that the isolate had very strong pathogenicity to tongue sole.The LD_(50) was 3.1 × 10~4 CFU/mL,and it showed pathogenicity to mammals.The antimicrobial susceptibility test showed the isolate was highly sensitive to nrofloxacin,Norfloxacin,Ciprofloxacin,Mequindox;moderately sensitive to Cefradine,Doxycycline;and insensitive to Gentamicin,Ceftriaxone,Tilmicosin,etc..Yang Nan Zhang Zhiqiang Wu Tonglei Zhu Jianxin Fu Yanfang Han Hongsheng Wang Hongbin Shi Qiumei Gao Guisheng 2018Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2018,10,2:2
8Criterion of local energy release rate of gob instability in deep mines considering unloading stress path显示文摘The stress path characteristics of surrounding rock in the formation of gob were analyzed and the unloading was solved. Taking Chengchao Iron Mine as the engineering background, the model for analyzing the instability of deep gob was established based on the mechanism of stress relief in deep mining.The energy evolution law was analyzed by introducing the local energy release rate index(LERR), and the energy criterion of the instability of surrounding rock was established based on the cusp catastrophe theory. The results show that the evolution equation of the local energy release of the surrounding rock is a quartic function with one unknown and the release rate increases gradually during the mining process.The calculation results show that the gob is stable. The LERR per unit volume of the bottom structure is relatively smaller which means that the stability is better. The LERR distribution showed that there was main energy release in the horizontal direction and energy concentration in the vertical direction which meets the characteristics of deep mining. In summary, this model could effectively calculate the stability of surrounding rock in the formation of gob. 9Interaction between crack and twins in TMS-82 superalloy during thermomechanical fatigue process显示文摘Thermomechanical fatigue behavior of a nickel base single crystal superalloy TMS-82 has been investigated.It was found that the micropores in the alloy tend to initiate large amounts of deformation twins and the crack causes many twins to occur during its propagation.It is postulated that these twins around the micropores or the crack are induced by the stress eld of the micropores or the crack tip,respectively.A thermodynamic model is adopted linking the twin formation energy with the stress eld around the crack tip,which explains the observed results with good consistency.The in uencing factors for a crack to stimulate twins around it are shown by the model,which might provide possible ways to enhance the alloy's thermomechanical fatigue performance.Baidong Fu Jianxin Zhang H.Harada 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,5:1
10Study on the Tangential Tensile Mechanical Properties of Moso Bamboo显示文摘In this work,we used tensile tests to analyze the tangential failure forms of raw bamboo and determine a relationship between tangential tensile strength,elastic modulus,position,density,and moisture content.We found that the tangential mechanical properties of the culm wall were mainly dependent on the mechanical properties of the basic structure of the thin wall.Formulas for calculating the tangential tensile strength of moso bamboo and adjusting the moisture content were also determined.The tangential tensile strength and the tangential tensile modulus of elasticity(TTMOE)followed:outer>middle>inner,and diaphragm>bamboo node>culm wall.Below the fiber saturation point,the tangential tensile strength and TTMOE values of the bamboo gradually decreased with increasing moisture content.When the moisture content was 15%,the tangential tensile strengths of the inner,middle,outer,culm wall,bamboo node,and diaphragm samples of the five-year-old moso bamboo were 3.17,3.29,3.31,3.24,3.67,and 8.85 MPa,respectively.Furthermore,their TTMOE values were 215.09,227.98,238.45,224.04,267.21,and 559.27 MPa,respectively.Hence,this study provides a theoretical basis for future research on bamboo cracking.Biqing Shu Lu Hong Suxia Li Yupeng Tao Jianxin Cui Naiqiang Fu Junbao Yu Chen Li Xiaoning Lu 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,8:1
11Rapid design of secondary deformation-aging parameters for ultra-low Co content Cu-Ni-Co-Si-X alloy via Bayesian optimization machine learning显示文摘It is difficult to rapidly design the process parameters of copper alloys by using the traditional trial-and-error method and simultaneously improve the conflicting mechanical and electrical properties.The purpose of this work is to develop a new type of Cu-Ni-Co-Si alloy saving scarce and expensive Co element,in which the Co content is less than half of the lower limit in ASTM standard C70350 alloy,while the properties are as the same level as C70350 alloy.Here we adopted a strategy combining Bayesian optimization machine learning and experimental iteration and quickly designed the secondary deformation-aging parameters(cold rolling deformation 90%,aging temperature 450℃,and aging time 1.25 h)of the new copper alloy with only 32 experiments(27 basic sample data acquisition experiments and 5 iteration experiments),which broke through the barrier of low efficiency and high cost of trial-and-error design of deformation-aging parameters in precipitation strengthened copper alloy.The experimental hardness,tensile strength,and electrical conductivity of the new copper alloy are HV(285±4),(872±3)MPa,and(44.2±0.7)%IACS(international annealed copper standard),reaching the property level of the commercial lead frame C70350 alloy.This work provides a new idea for the rapid design of material process parameters and the simultaneous improvement of mechanical and electrical properties.Hongtao Zhang Huadong Fu Yuheng Shen Jianxin Xie 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,6:1

16Analysis of SF6 decomposed products by fibre-enhanced Raman spectroscopy for gas-insulated switchgear diagnosis显示文摘Sulphur hexafluoride(SF6)decomposed products analysis is highly critical in the earlystage fault diagnosis of gas-insulated switchgear(GIS).Spectrum technology outperforms traditional methods on non-invasiveness,no sample preparation,and no consumption.Here,the authors present an improved fibre-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(FERS)as a comprehensive analytical tool to detect a suite of SF_(6)decomposed products(SO_(2)F_(2),SOF_(2),SO_(2),H_(2)S,CF_(4),OCS,CO_(2),and CO).The FERS approach is combined with two iris diaphragms for spatial filtering and a rear-end reflector for additional Raman signal enhancement.Limits of detection down to 1×10^(−6)–8×10^(−6)are achieved for different SF6 decompositions,and quantification of an undefined multigas,sampled from an 800 kV GIS in service,is realised utilising SF6 as the internal standard gas and with a maximum error of 5.5%.The GIS is diagnosed according to the results and confirmed by an on-site check.The authors foresee that this technique will provide a route for trace gas analysis in the power industry.Jianxin Wang Weigen Chen Pinyi Wang Fu Wan Zhixian Zhang Shoufei Gao Yingying Wang 2024High Voltage2024,9,1:0
17Microstructure and properties evolution of in-situ fiber-reinforced Ag-Cu-Ni-Ce alloy during deformation and heat treatment显示文摘Silver-based alloys are significant light-load electrical contact materials(ECMs).The trade-off between mechanical properties and electrical conductivity is always an important issue for the development of silver-based ECMs.In this paper,we proposed an idea for the regulation of the mechanical properties and the electrical conductivity of Ag-11.40Cu-0.66Ni-0.05Ce(wt%)alloy using in-situ composite fiber-reinforcement.The alloy was processed using rolling,heat treatment,and heavy drawing,the strength and electrical conductivity were tested at different deformation stages,and the microstructures during deformation were observed using field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM)and electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD).The results show that the method proposed in this paper can achieve the preparation of in-situ composite fiber-reinforced Ag-Cu-Ni-Ce alloys.After the heavy deformation drawing,the room temperature Vickers hardness of the as-cast alloy increased from HV 81.6 to HV 169.3,and the electrical conductivity improved from 74.3%IACS(IACS,i.e.,international annealed copper standard)to 78.6%IACS.As the deformation increases,the alloy strength displays two different strengthening mechanisms,and the electrical conductivity has three stages of change.This research provides a new idea for the comprehensive performance control of high-performance silver-based ECMs.Xingqun He Huadong Fu Jianxin Xie 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,11:0
18Necessity of integrated methodology for hazard mitigation of quake lakes:case study of the Wenchuan Earthquake,China显示文摘The massive 8.0-magnitude Wenchuan Earthquake triggered huge landslides,avalanches,and debris flows that blocked rivers and created 34 important quake lakes,including the Tangjiashan Quake Lake on the Tongkou River.More than half of these lakes were identified to be of moderate or high hazard levels,so activities needed to be undertaken for hazard mitigation of potential flooding.This paper presents the mitigation processes of quake lake hazards,which involve various techniques such as rapid hazard analysis,scenario-based mitigation planning,and real-time forecasting of outburst flooding for implementation actions.The shortage of hydrologic and geological data and the nature of emergency situations raise substantial challenges in the hazard mitigation of quake lakes.This paper suggests a potential approach in dealing with quake lake hazards,which integrates the automatic monitoring network,hydrologic models,and hydrodynamic models with a comprehensive indicator for hazard levels.The necessity of improving the integrated methodology is highlighted.Xudong FU Fan LIU Guangqian WANG Wenjie XU Jianxin ZHANG 2011Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2011,5,1:0

20Petrology and geochemistry of the Shilu Fe-polymetallic ore deposit in Hainan Province of South China: Implications for the origin of Neoproterozoic BIFs显示文摘The Shilu Fe-polymetallic ore deposit,a famous hematite-rich Fe-ore deposit,is situated at the western Hainan Province of south China.The deposit characterizes the upper Fe ores and the lower Co-Cu ores,which are mainly hosted within a low-grade to medium-grade,dominantly submarine metamorphosed siliciclastic and carbonate sedimentary succession of the Neoproterozoic Shilu Group.Three facies types of metamorphosed BIFs,i.e.the oxide facies,the silicate-oxide facies and the sulfide-carbonate facies BIFs,are identified within the sixth sequence of the Shilu Group.The oxide facies BIF(i.e.the Fe-rich itabirites or ores)consists of alternating hematite-rich microbands with quartz-rich microbands;the silicate-oxide facies BIF(i.e.the Fe-poor itabirites or ores)comprises alternating millimeter-to a few tens meter-scale,magnetite-hematite-rich bands with calcsilicate-rich(garnet+actinolite+diopside+epidote+quartz)meso-to microbands;and the sulfide-carbonate facies BIF(i.e.the Co-Cu ores)contains alternating macro-to mesobands of Co-bearing pyrite and pyrrhotite,and chalcopyrite with mesobands of dolomite+calcite+diopside+quartz and/or chlorite+sericite+quartz.The blastooolitic,blastopelletoid blastocolloidal and blastopsammitic textures,and blasobedding structures which most likely represent primary sedimentation are often observed in these BIF facies.The interbedded host rocks with the BIFs mainly are the pyroxene-amphibole rocks and the banded or impure dolostones,and also contain banded or laminated structures,and lepido-gra-noblastic,nematoblastic and/or blastoclastic textures.Compositionally,the main host rocks,the pyroxene-amphibole rocks contain basic-intermediate SiO_2(~54.00 wt.%),CaO(~14.19 wt.%),MgO(~9.68 wt.%)and Al_2O_3(~8.49 wt.%)with a positive correlation between Al_2O_3 and TiO_2.The UCC-like Zr and Hf abundances,high Ba content andεNd(t)value(^-5.99)as well as the ratios of La/YbPAAS(0.17~1.00),δEuPAAS(0.88~1.12)andδCePAAS(0.93~1.13)commonly reveal that the protoliths to this type rocks are hydrogenic with a large contribution of terrigenous sediments and minor hydrothermal input.The high CaO+MgO+LOI contents and the extremely low trace element and REEconcentrations as well as the ratios of Y/Ho(44~45),δEuPAAS(1.13~1.57)andδCePAAS(0.69~0.98)reflect a marine origin with minor terrigenous materials for the banded or impure dolostones.Moreover,this type rocks also account for a negativeεNd(t)value(^-7.49).The oxide facies BIF is dominated by Fe_2O_3+FeO(~75.59wt.%)and SiO_2(~20.47 wt.%)with aεNd(t)value of^-6.10.The variable contents in Al_2O_3,TiO 2,K2O,Na2O,Zr,Hf and∑REE,and variable ratios of Y/Ho(24~39)andδEuPAAS(0.86~11.07)suggest the precursor sediments to this facies BIF are admixtures of sea-floor hydrothermal fluids and seawaters with minor involvement of detrital components.Compared to the oxide facies BIF,the silicate-oxide facies BIF is lower in Fe_2O_3+Fe O(~39.81wt.%)and Ba but higher in SiO_2(~42.54 wt.%),Al2O3(~3.60 wt.%),TiO_2(~0.19 wt.%),MgO(~1.12 wt.%),CaO(~9.06 wt.%),K_2O(~0.98 wt.%),Mn and Zr.The ratios of Y/Ho(25~34),La/YbPAAS(0.14-0.74)andδEuPAAS(0.91~1.12)most likely are linked to higher degree of detrital contamintants.While the sulfide-caronate facies BIF is main but variable in Fe_2O_3+Fe O(15.79~57.91 wt.%),SiO 2(0.54~61.52 wt.%),MgO(0.12~16.09wt.%),CaO(0.17~23.41 wt.%)and LOI(8.28-30.06 wt.%).The generally low contents in trace elements(including REE)except for an obvious enrichment in Pb,and the positive Ce anomalies(δCePAAS=1.04~1.95)and negative Pr anomalies(δPrPAAS=0.67~0.93),as well as the variable ratios ofδEuPAAS(0.72~1.71),La/YbPAAS(0.26~1.60)and Y/Ho(26~57)suggest that the precursors to the sulfide-carbonate facies BIF mainly are metalliferious sediments from deep-marine hydrotheral source with minor detrital components.The T2DM ages(ca.2.0 Ga)imply that the Shilu BIFs and interbedded host rocks contain a component with Paleoproterozoic crustal residence age due to a significant crustal accretion event at ca.2.0 Ga in Hainan Island.In connection with the petrographical and mineralogical relationship,we conclude that the precursor precipitates to the Shilu BIFs are variable degree of admixtures of the Fe-Co-Cu-(Si)-rich hydrothermal fluids and detrital components from seawater and fresh water carring continental landmass;whereas the protolith to the main interbedded host rocks,i.e.the pyroxene-amphibole rocks,most likely was terrigenous,fine-grained clastic-sediments but with significant input of hydrothermal fluids in a seawater environment.As a result,a continent marginal marine basin is proposed for deposition of the Shilu BIFs and interbedded host rocks.Sea-level fluctuations caused by marine transgression–regressions possibly contributed to changes in the composition and varied input of the terrigenous
