1GrabCut image segmentation algorithm based on structure tensor显示文摘This paper attempts to present an interactive color natural images segmentation method. This method extracts the feature of images by using the nonlinear compact structure tensor(NCST) and then uses GrabCut method to obtain the segmentation. This method not only realizes the non-parametric fusion of texture information and color information, but also improves the efficiency of the calculation. Then, the improved GrabCut algorithm is used to evaluate the foreground target segmentation. In order to calculate the simplicity and efficiency, this paper also extends the Gaussian mixture model(GMM) constructed base on the GrabC ut to the tensor space, and uses the Kullback-Leibler(KL) divergence instead of the usual Riemannian geometry. Lastly, an iteration convergence criterion is proposed to reduce the time of the iteration of GrabCut algorithm dramatically with satisfied segmentation accuracy. 2Three-dimensional ATUM-SEM reconstruction and analysis of hepatic endoplasmic reticulum-organelle interactions显示文摘The endoplasmic reticulum(ER)is a contiguous and complicated membrane network in eukaryotic cells,and membrane contact sites(MCSs)between the ER and other organelles perform vital cellular functions,including lipid homeostasis,metabolite exchange,calcium level regulation,and organelle division.Here,we establish a whole pipeline to reconstruct all ER,mitochondria,lipid droplets,lysosomes,peroxisomes,and nuclei by automated tape-collecting ultramicrotome scanning electron microscopy and deep learning techniques,which generates an unprecedented 3D model for mapping liver samples.Furthermore,the morphology of various organelles and the MCSs between the ER and other organelles are systematically analyzed.We found that the ER presents with predominantly flat cisternae and is knitted tightly all throughout the intracellular space and around other organelles.In addition,the ER has a smaller volume-to-membrane surface area ratio than other organelles,which suggests that the ER could be more suited for functions that require a large membrane surface area.Our data also indicate that ER-mitochondria contacts are particularly abundant,especially for branched mitochondria.Our study provides 3D reconstructions of various organelles in liver samples together with important fundamental information for biochemical and functional studies in the liver.Yi Jiang Linlin Li Xi Chen Jiazheng Liu Jingbin Yuan Qiwei Xie Hua Han 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,9:2

8A graph theory model using human nature structure显示文摘A graph theory model of the human nature structure( GMH) for machine vision and image/graphics processing is described in this paper. Independent from the motion and deformation of contours,the human nature structure( HNS) embodies the most basic movement characteristics of the body. The human body can be divided into basic units like head,torso,and limbs. Using these basic units,a graph theory model for the HNS can be constructed. GMH provides a basic model for human posture processing,and the outline in the perspective projection plane is the body contour of an image. 9Phase transition regulation and caloric effect显示文摘Solid state refrigeration based on caloric effect is regarded as a potential candidate for replacing vapor-compression refrigeration.Numerous methods have been proposed to optimize the refrigeration properties of caloric materials,of which single field tuning as a relatively simple way has been systemically studied.However,single field tuning with few tunable parameters usually obtains an excellent performance in one specific aspect at the cost of worsening the performance in other aspects,like attaining a large caloric effect with narrowing the transition temperature range and introducing hysteresis.Because of the shortcomings of the caloric effect driven by a single field,multifield tuning on multicaloric materials that have a coupling between different ferro-orders came into view.This review mainly focuses on recent studies that apply this method to improve the cooling performance of materials,consisting of enlarging caloric effects,reducing hysteresis losses,adjusting transition temperatures,and widening transition temperature spans,which indicate that further progress can be made in the application of this method.Furthermore,research on the sign of lattice and spin contributions to the magnetocaloric effect found new phonon evolution mechanisms,calling for more attention on multicaloric effects.Other progress including improving cyclability of FeRh alloys by introducing second phases and realizing a large reversible barocaloric effect by hybridizing carbon chains and inorganic groups is described in brief.Yuan LIN Jiazheng HAO Kaiming QIAO Yihong GAO Fengxia HU Jing WANG Tongyun ZHAO Baogen SHEN 2023Frontiers in Energy2023,17,4:0
10Crustal velocity structure of the Northwest Sub-basin of the South China Sea based on seismic data reprocessing显示文摘The deep crustal structure of the Northwest Sub-basin(NWSB)of the South China Sea(SCS)is of great importance for understanding the tectonic nature of the continent-ocean transition(COT)and magmatism in this oceanic basin.The 2-D wide-angle reflection/refraction seismic profile OBS2006-2 is almost parallel to the extinct spreading ridge(ESR)of the NWSB.In addition to the original data,we added the data of two reprocessed OBS stations,and carried out seismic phase re-picking and travel-time imaging to obtain the crustal velocity structure along this profile.Resolution tests demonstrate that the newly acquired velocity structure is more reliable than the prior interpretation.The depth of the Moho(23.5–11.8 km)and crustal thickness(20.5–6.5 km)systematically changes from continental crust of the Xisha Block to the oceanic crust within the NWSB.The COT zone has a width of^20 km and the depth of the Moho decreases from 15.0 to 11.0 km,corresponding to a^4 km decrease in crustal thickness(6–10 km).A high velocity layer(HVL,7.2–7.4 km s–1)exists at the bottom of the crust at the location where the sharp lateral transition of the continental crust to the oceanic crust occurs.Age dating shows that the Doublepeak Seamount was formed at^23 Ma,after the cessation of the NWSB seafloor spreading(~32–25 Ma).The crust beneath the Double-peak Seamount is oceanic with a thickness of 9 km.We infer that this oceanic crust was formed by magmatic upwelling and decompression melting along a pre-existing zone of weakness.Qiang WANG Minghui ZHAO Haoyu ZHANG Jiazheng ZHANG Enyuan HE Ye YUAN Xuelin QIU 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,11:0
