| 3 | Velocity forecasts using a combined deep learning model in hybrid electric vehicles with V2V and V2I communication显示文摘Vehicle velocity forecast is an important clue in improving the performance of energy management in hybrid electric vehicles(HEV). This paper presents a new combined model for predicting vehicle’s velocity time series. The main features of the model are to combine the feature extraction capability of deep restricted Boltzmann machines(DBM) and sequence pattern predicting capability of bidirectional long short-term memory(BLSTM). Hence, the model is named as DBMBLSTM. In addition, the DRMBLSTM model utilizes the vehicle driving information and roadside infrastructure information provided respectively through vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2I) communication channels to predict vehicle velocity at various length of prediction horizon. Furthermore, the predictions results of this study are compared with the state of the art of vehicle velocity forecasts. The root mean square error(RMSE) is used as an evaluation criteria of predictions accuracy. Finally,these compared prediction model are applied in model predictive control(MPC) energy management strategy for the verifications of fuel economy improvement of a HEV. Simulation results confirm that the proposed combined deep learning model performs better than other five prediction methods. | 4 | Seismic phases from the Moho and its implication on the ultraslow spreading ridge显示文摘The Moho interface provides critical evidence for crustal thickness and the mode of oceanic crust accretion.The seismic Moho interface has not been identified yet at the magma-rich segments(46°–52°E)of the ultraslow spreading Southwestern Indian Ridge(SWIR).This paper firstly deduces the characteristics and domains of seismic phases based on a theoretical oceanic crust model.Then,topographic correction is carried out for the OBS record sections along Profile Y3Y4 using the latest OBS data acquired from the detailed 3D seismic survey at the SWIR in 2010.Seismic phases are identified and analyzed,especially for the reflected and refracted seismic phases from the Moho.A 2D crustal model is finally established using the ray tracing and travel-time simulation method.The presence of reflected seismic phases at Segment 28 shows that the crustal rocks have been separated from the mantle by cooling and the Moho interface has already formed at zero age.The 2D seismic velocity structure across the axis of Segment 28 indicates that detachment faults play a key role during the processes of asymmetric oceanic crust accretion. | ZHANG Jiazheng ZHAO Minghui QIU Xuelin LI Jiabiao RUAN Aiguo | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12: | 5 |
| 5 | Ternary mesoporous cobalt-iron-nickel oxide efficiently catalyzing oxygen/hydrogen evolution reactions and overall water splitting显示文摘Among various efficient electrocatalysts for water splitting,CoFe and NiFe-based oxides/hydroxides are typically promising candidates thanks to their extraordinary activities towards oxygen evolution reaction (OER).However,the endeavor to advance their performance towards overall water splitting has been largely impeded by the limited activities for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER).Herein,we present a CoFeNi ternary metal-based oxide (CoFeNi-O) with impressive hierarchical bimodal channel nanostructures,which was synthesized via a facile one-step dealloying strategy.The oxide shows superior catalytic activities towards both HER and OER in alkaline solution due to the alloying effect and the intrinsic hierarchical porous structure.CoFeNi-O loaded on glass carbon electrodes only requires the overpotentials as low as 230 and 278 mV to achieve the OER current densities of 10 and 100 mA·cm-2,respectively.In particular,extremely low overpotentials of 200 and 57.9 mV are sufficient enough for Ni foam-supported CoFeNi-O to drive the current density of 10 mA·cm-2 towards OER and HER respectively,which is comparable with or even better than the already-developed state-of-the-art non-noble metal oxide based catalysts.Benefiting from the bifunctionalities of CoFeNi-O,an alkaline electrolyzer constructed by the Ni foam-supported CoFeNi-O electrodes as both the anode and the cathode can deliver a current density of 10 mA·cm-2 at a fairly low cell-voltage of 1.558 V.In view of its electrocatalytic merits together with the facile and cost-effective dealloying route,CoFeNi-O is envisioned as a promising catalyst for future production of sustainable energy resources. | Lulu Han Limin Guo Chaoqun Dong Chi Zhang Hui Gao Jiazheng Niu Zhangquan Peng Zhonghua Zhang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,9: | 5 |

| 7 | GrabCut image segmentation algorithm based on structure tensor显示文摘This paper attempts to present an interactive color natural images segmentation method. This method extracts the feature of images by using the nonlinear compact structure tensor(NCST) and then uses GrabCut method to obtain the segmentation. This method not only realizes the non-parametric fusion of texture information and color information, but also improves the efficiency of the calculation. Then, the improved GrabCut algorithm is used to evaluate the foreground target segmentation. In order to calculate the simplicity and efficiency, this paper also extends the Gaussian mixture model(GMM) constructed base on the GrabC ut to the tensor space, and uses the Kullback-Leibler(KL) divergence instead of the usual Riemannian geometry. Lastly, an iteration convergence criterion is proposed to reduce the time of the iteration of GrabCut algorithm dramatically with satisfied segmentation accuracy. | 11 | The deep thermal structure of the lithosphere in the northwestern South China Sea and its control on the shallow tectonics显示文摘The northwestern sub-basin of South China Sea(SCS)is a unique tectonic unit formed in the early spreading of the SCS.The northwestern Sub-basin has a series of complex geological structures such as seamounts and fault zones surrounded by the Xisha Trough,the Zhongsha Massif,and the Pearl River Valley.These extensional structures and magmatic activity in the northwestern sub-basin are closely related to the lithospheric structure and its deformation.However,details of the deep lithosphere structure are still poorly known.Here,we obtained detailed data of water and Moho depth using sonar buoys,Extended Spread Profiles(ESP),Ocean Bottom Seismometer(OBS),both Multi-beam and land-sea joint seismic surveys in the northwestern sub-basin and its surrounding areas.Then we adopted a thermal isostasy method to calculate the depth of the Lithosphere-Asthenosphere Boundary(LAB)in the northwestern sub-basin of the SCS and its surrounding regions.Results show that the range of LAB depth is~25–110 km.The shallowest burial depth is 25–60 km occurring in the ocean basin.The depth increases to 60–110 km toward the continental margin.The lithospheric structure on the north and south sides of the Xisha Trough is symmetrical and shows the deep structure and thermal features of aborted rifts.The LAB depth in the Zhongsha Trough and the Zhongsha Massif increased from 60 to 70 km southwestwards,consistent with the trend of surface morphology.The LAB depth to the west side of the Pearl River Valley is 60–80 km,and the thinning of the lithosphere is related to the distribution of faults,depressions and the magmatic activity.The LAB depth in the northwestern sub-basin and the eastern subbasin is less than 60 km with the thinnest part being less than 46 km.Combining ocean drilling,seismic investigation,and seafloor topography,we show that the ocean basin of the northwestern sub-basin of the SCS locates within the 46 km isobath of the LAB.The formation of the rifted valleys and discrete blocks surrounding the ocean basins is both controlled by the regional tectonic movement and the deep thermal state,where their lithospheric structures show strong heterogeneity. | Xiaofang WANG Haibo HUANG Hehua XU Ziqiang REN Jiazheng ZHANG Zhongxian ZHAO | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,6: | 1 |

| 15 | Risk factors for chronic ankle instability after first episode of lateral ankle sprain:A retrospective analysis of 362 cases显示文摘Background:Chronic ankle instability(CAI) is a common sequela following an acute lateral ankle sprain(LAS).To treat an acture LAS more effectively and efficiently,it is important to identify patients at substantial risk for developing CAI.This study identifies magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) manifestations for predicting CAI development after a first episode of LAS and explores appropriate clinical indications for ordering MRI scans for these patients.Methods:All patients with a first-episode LAS who received plain radiograph and MRI scanning within the first 2 weeks after LAS from December 1,2017 to December 1,2019 were identified.Data were collected using the Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool at final follow-up.Demographic and other related clinical variables,including age,sex,body mass index,and treatment were also recorded.Univariable and multivariable analyses were performed successively to identify risk factors for CAI after first-episode LAS.Results:A total 131 out of 362 patients with a mean follow-up of 3.0± 0.6 years(mean ± SD;2.0—4.1 years) developed CAI after first-episode LAS.According to multivariable regression,development of CAI after first-episode LAS was associated with 5 prognostic factors:age(odds ratio(OR)=0.96,95% confidence interval(95%CI):0.93-1.00,p=0.032);body mass index(OR=1.09,95%CI:1.02-1.17,p=0.009);posterior talofibular ligament injury(OR=2.17,95%CI:1.05-4.48,p=0.035);large bone marrow lesion of the talus(OR=2.69,95%CI:1.30-5.58,p=0.008),and Grade 2 effusion of the tibiotalar joint(OR=2.61,95%CI:1.39-4.89,p=0.003).When patients had at least 1 positive clinical finding in the 10-m walk test,anterior drawer test,or inversion tilt test,they had a 90.2% sensitivity and 77.4% specificity in terms of detecting at least 1 prognostic factor by MRI.Conclusion:MRI scanning is valuable in predicting CAI after first-episode LAS for those patients with at least 1 positive clinical finding in the10-m walk test,anterior drawer test,and inversion tilt test.Further prospective and large-scale studies are necessary for validation. | Jieyuan Zhang Kai Yang Cheng Wang Wenqi Gu Xueqian Li Shaoling Fu Guoxun Song Jiazheng Wang Chenglin Wu Hongyi Zhu Zhongmin Shi | 2023 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2023,12,5: | 1 |

| 20 | Simultaneously enhancing capacity and security in free-space optical chaotic communication utilizing orbital angular momentum显示文摘Optical chaotic signals emitted from an external-cavity feedback or injected laser diode enable small-signal information concealment in a noise-like carrier for secure optical communications.Due to the chaotic bandwidth limitation resulting from intrinsic relaxation oscillation frequency of lasers,multiplexing of optical chaotic signal,such as wavelength division multiplexing in fiber,is a typical candidate for high-capacity secure applications.However,to our best knowledge,the utilization of the spatial dimension of optical chaos for free-space secure communication has not yet been reported.Here,we experimentally demonstrate a free-space all-optical chaotic communication system that simultaneously enhances transmission capacity and security by orbital angular momentum(OAM)multiplexing.Optical chaotic signals with two different OAM modes totally carrying 20 Gbps on-off keying signals are secretly transmitted over a 2 m free-space link,where the channel crosstalk of OAM modes is less than-20 d B,with the mode spacing no less than 3.The receiver can extract valid information only when capturing approximately 92.5% of the OAM beam and correctly demodulating the corresponding mode.Bit error rate below the 7%hard-decision forward error correction threshold of 3.8×10^(-3)can be achieved for the intended recipient.Moreover,a simulated weak turbulence is introduced to comprehensively analyze the influence on the system performance,including channel crosstalk,chaotic synchronization,and transmission performance.Our work may inspire structured light application in optical chaos and pave a new way for developing future high-capacity free-space chaotic secure communication systems. | YIQUN ZHANG MINGFENG XU MINGBO PU MENGJIE ZHOU JIAZHENG DING SHUANGCHENG CHEN KUN QIU NING JIANG XIANGANG LUO | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,12: | 0 |
