| 2 | Molecular characterization of RAPD and SCAR marker linked to the frog-eye leaf spot resistance gene in soybean显示文摘Two fragments SCS362o and SCS3580 of the co-dominant marker OPS0362o&580 that were linked to the resistance gene of soybean frog-eye leaf spot have been completely sequenced. A significant insertion of 30 bp is the main reason of the polymorphism between the two fragments. The results of Southern hybridization indicate that SCS362o derives from a single- or low-copy sequence and can be used as an RFLP probe. A co-dominant SCAR marker SCSSeao&sao has been developed based on the sequences. The segregation of SCS362o&58o is similar to that of RAPD marker OPS03620&580. Significant polymorphism has been shown between resistant and susceptible genotypes when 62 soybean genotypes were surveyed for the SCAR marker. | 12 | Removal of trace Cr(VI) from water using chitosan-iron nanowires in porous anodic alumina显示文摘Chitosan-iron nanowires in porous anodic alumina(PAA) have been successfully prepared under ambient conditions as an adsorbent. The adsorbent was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and N_2-BET surface area. The results showed that PAA can disperse and protect Fe^0 nanorods from oxidation. The adsorption characteristics of trace Cr(VI) onto adsorbent have been examined at different initial Cr(VI) concentrations with pH 5. Batch adsorption studies show that the removal percentage of adsorbent for the removal of trace Cr(VI) is strongly dependent on the initial Cr(VI) concentrations. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were used to analyze the experiment data. The adsorption of trace Cr(VI) by adsorbent is well modeled by the Langmuir isotherm and the maximum adsorption capacity of Cr(VI) is calculated as 123.95 mg/g which is very closed to the experiment results. Intraparticle diffusion study shows that the intraparticle diffusion of adsorbent is not the sole rate-controlling step. The negative value of Gibbs free energy change, DG^0, indicated that the process of Cr(VI) onto adsorbent was spontaneous. | 15 | Structural identification and antioxidant potency evaluation of pomelo vinegar polyphenols显示文摘Polyphenols are the main antioxidant ingredient of honey pomelo vinegar.However,the antioxidant contributions of various individual phenolics to total polyphenols and antioxidant mechanism are unclear.In this study,phenolic compounds were identified,and the antioxidant potency and antioxidant contribution of individual phenolics were analyzed.The antioxidant mechanism was also studied in HepG2 cells.A total of seven phenolics were identified,including naringin,narirutin,rhoifolin,vanillic acid,methyl hesperidin,vicenin-2,and ferulic acid;among which,ferulic acid had the highest extracellular antioxidant potency,while methyl hesperidin had the lowest.Without considering the synergistic effect of the phenolics,naringin,ferulic acid,and vicenin-2 were major contributors to the antioxidant potency of pomelo vinegar polyphenols(PVP)using four antioxidant assays.PVP at the concentrations of 20μg/mL and 100μg/mL had a protective effect against H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative damage to HepG2 cells.PVP also reduced lactic dehydrogenase(LDH)release and reactive oxygen species(ROS)accumulation in cells.The western blotting results revealed that PVP promoted translocation of NFE2-related factor 2(Nrf2)from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and up-regulated the expression of its governed antioxidant enzymes such as NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1(NQO1),heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),glutathione S-transferase A2(GSTA2),and glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit(GCLC).In summary,PVP could serve as a potential therapeutic agent for oxidative stress-related disorders. | Bo Zou Ting Li Yujuan Xu Yuanshan Yu Jijun Wu | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,47,3: | 1 |
