1Experimental study on the bolt–cable combined supporting technology for the extraction roadways in weakly cemented strata显示文摘Aiming at the characteristics of the poor steady ability, the short stable time and severe deformation behavior of weakly cemented soft surrounding rock around extraction roadway, a bolt–cable combined supporting technology was proposed. Numerical simulation was performed by using FLAC3 D software to study the effects of different supporting systems. The simulation result proves that those supporting systems have good practical values. Based on real-time monitoring and analysis of the deformation of surrounding rock and the stress of supporting structure, real time information of deformation of surrounding rock and stress state of supporting structure of extraction roadway within weakly cemented strata was obtained. Monitoring results show that large deformation and failure of surrounding rock of extraction roadway within weakly cemented strata can be effectively controlled by the bolt–cable combined supporting technology, which ensures the long-term stability and safety of surrounding rock and supporting structure.Meng Qingbin Han Lijun Sun Jingwu Min Fengqing Feng Wei Zhou Xing 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,1:13

3Clinical implications of hedgehog signaling pathway inhibitors显示文摘Hedgehog was first described in Drosophila melanogaster by the Nobel laureates Eric Wieschaus and Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard. The hedgehog (Hh) pathway is a major regulator of cell differentiation, proliferation, tissue polarity, stem cell maintenance, and carcinogenesis. The first link of Hh signaling to cancer was established through studies of a rare familial disease, Gorlin syndrome, in 1996. Follow-up studies revealed activation of this pathway in basal cell carcinoma, medulloblastoma and, leukemia as well as in gastrointestinal, lung, ovarian, breast, and prostate cancer. Targeted inhibition of Hh signaling is now believed to be effective in the treatment and prevention of human cancer. The discovery and synthesis of specific inhibitors for this pathway are even more exciting. 4Effects of{2-[(3-carboxy-1-oxoprogyl)amino]-2-deoxy-D-glucose}on human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line显示文摘Aim: To study the effects of {2-[(3-carboxy-1-oxoprogy 1)amino]-2-deoxy-D-glucose (COPADG) on cultured human hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HepG2).Methods: HepG2 cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 medium. Cell proliferation was determined by MTF assay. Apoptosis was determined by fluorescence microscopy,transmission electron microscopy, agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA fragmentation, and flow cytometry. Results: At the concentration ranging between 1-30μmol/L, COPADG potently inhibited the growth and induced apoptosis of HepG2 cells. Conclusion: COPADG could effectively induce apoptosis in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells. 5Variations in the Lower Level of the PBL Associated with the Yellow Sea Fog-New Observations by L-Band Radar显示文摘The Chinese east coastal areas and marginal seas are foggy regions. The development of effective forecasting methods rests upon a comprehensive knowledge of the fog phenomena. This study provides new observations associated with the sea fogs over the northwestern Yellow Sea by means of L-band radar soundings with a high vertical resolution of 30 m. The monthly temperature lapse rate, the Richardson Numbers, and the humidity show obvious seasonal variations in the lower level of the planetary boundary layer (PBL) that are related to the onset, peak and end of the Yellow Sea fog season. The typical pattern of stratification for the sea fog season in the northwestern Yellow Sea is that a stable layer of about 400 m thick caps a 150 m conditionally unstable layer. Besides, the differences between fogs and stratus clouds in terms of humidity, turbulence and temperature are analyzed, which is of significance for sea fog forecast and detection by satellites. The thickness of the sea fogs varies in different stages of the fog season, and is associated with the temperature inversion. 7The role of GLI2-ABCG2 signaling axis for 5Fu resistance in gastric cancer显示文摘Gastric cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, and options to treat gastric cancer are limited. Fluorouracil(5Fu)-based chemotherapy is frequently used as a neoadjuvant or an adjuvant agent for gastric cancer therapy. Most patients with advanced gastric cancer eventually succumb to the disease despite the fact that some patients respond initially to chemotherapy. Thus, identifying molecular mechanisms responsible for chemotherapy resistance will help design novel strategies to treat gastric cancer. In this study, we discovered that residual cancer cells following 5Fu treatment have elevated expression of hedgehog(Hg) target genes GLI1 and GLI2, suggestive of Hh signaling activation. Hh signaling, a pathway essential for embryonic development, is an important regulator for putative cancer stem cells/residual cancer cells. We found that high GLI1/GLI2 expression is associated with some features of putative cancer stem cells, such as increased side population. We demonstrated that GLI2 knockdown sensitized gastric cancer cells to 5Fu treatment, decreased ABCG2 expression, and reduced side population. Elevated GLI2 expression is also associated with an increase in tumor sphere size, another marker for putative cancer stem cells. We believe that GLI2 regulates putative cancer stem cells through direct regulation of ABCG2. ABCG2 can rescue the GL12 shRNA effects in 5Fu response, tumor sphere formation and side population changes, suggesting that ABCG2 is an important mediator for GLI2-associated 5Fu resistance. The relevance of our studies to gastric cancer patient care is reflected by our discovery that high GLI1/GLI2/ABCG2 expression is associated with a high incidence of cancer relapse in two cohorts of gastric cancer patients who underwent chemotherapy(containing 5Fu). 8Study on preparation and properties of CeO_2/epoxy resin composite coating on sintered NdFeB magnet显示文摘The CeO_2/epoxy resin composite coating was deposited on NdFeB substrate by cathode electrophoresis method for enhancing the anticorrosion and anti-wear performances. The morphologies and structures were characterized by a scanning electron microscope and an X-ray diffractometer. The micro hardness of the composite coating was evaluated by a microhardness tester. The corrosive behaviors of the coatings were studied by potentiodynamic polarization curve, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and neutral salt spray tests. The concentration of CeO_2 nanoparticles(NPs) in the electrophoresis bath was optimized according to the coating structures and anticorrosion performances. The results show that CeO_2 NPs can enhance the microhardness of the composite coatings. Moreover, the nanoparticles disperse uniformly in the matrix when the concentration is lower than 30 g/L. The microhardness of CeO_2/epoxy resin(30 g/L) composite coating is about 63% higher than that of the blank epoxy resin coating. And the NSS time of the CeO_2/epoxy resin(30 g/L) composite coated sample can reach 1248 h.Meanwhile, the composite coatings possess no deteriorate influence on the magnetic properties of NdFeB substrates. 10CyclinB1、CDK1在胃癌中的表达及其意义显示文摘目的 :探讨胃癌发生中CyclinB1、CDK1表达异常及其临床病理学意义。方法 :采用免疫组织化学ABC法检测CyclinB1、CDK1在 15例正常胃组织、35例胃癌组织 (其中 15例为低分化腺癌 ,2 0例为中、高分化腺癌 )中的表达。结果 :CyclinB1、CDK1阳性表达多数定位于细胞质 ,少数在细胞核和细胞质中同时表达 ;在胃正常粘膜中CyclinB1、CDK1表达阳性率分别为 13.3% (2 / 15 )、6 .7% (1/ 15 ) ,胃癌组织中表达阳性率分别为 94 .3% (33/ 35 )、91.4 % (32 / 35 ) ,有统计学意义 (P <0 .0 1) ;在低分化腺癌、中高分化腺癌CyclinB1、CDK1均有表达 ,不同分化程度胃癌之间阳性表达差异有统计学意义 (P <0 .0 1)。结论 :CyclinB1、CDK1在不同分化程度胃癌中有过表达现象 ,可能是胃癌发生中早期分子事件 。马晓丽 黄淑红 黄敬爱 邱超 Jingwu Xie 张红卫 2004中国现代普通外科进展2004,7,5:7
11Effect of 2-(3-carboxy-1-oxopropyl) amino-2-deoxy-D-glucose on human esophageal cancer cell line显示文摘AIM: TO determine whether 2-(3-carboxy-l-oxopropyl) amino-2-deoxy-D-glucose (COPADG), a derivative of D-amino-glucose, inhibited the growth of human esophageal cancer cell line Eca-109. METHODS: Effects of COPADG on Eca-109 cells cultured in RPMI 1640 medium were examined by a tetrazoliumbased colorimetric assay (MTT assay). RESULTS: COPADG inhibited the growth of Eca-109 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner; the maximumin hibition rate was 83.75%. 12Deciphering the role of hedgehog signaling in pancreatic cancer显示文摘Pancreatic cancer,mostly pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),is a leading cause of cancer-related death in the US,with a dismal median survival of 6 months.Thus,there is an urgent unmet need to identify ways to diagnose and to treat this deadly cancer.Although a number of genetic changes have been identified in pancreatic cancer,their mechanisms of action in tumor development,progression and metastasis are not completely understood.Hedgehog signaling,which plays a major role in embryonic development and stem cell regulation,is known to be activated in pancreatic cancer;however,specific inhibitors targeting the smoothened molecule failed to improve the condition of pancreatic cancer patients in clinical trials.Furthermore,results regarding the role of Hh signaling in pancreatic cancer are controversial with some reporting tumor promoting activities whereas others tumor suppressive actions.In this review,we will summarize what we know about hedgehog signaling in pancreatic cancer,and try to explain the contradicting roles of hedgehog signaling as well as the reason(s) behind the failed clinical trials.In addition to the canonical hedgehog signaling,we will also discuss several non-canonical hedgehog signaling mechanisms.Dongsheng Gu Kelly E Schlotman Jingwu Xie 2016The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,5:7

14The Effect of the East China Sea Kuroshio Front on the Marine Atmospheric Boundary Layer显示文摘Various satellite data,JRA-25(Japan reanalysis of 25 years) reanalyzed data and WRF(Weather Research Forecast) model are used to investigate the in situ effect of the ESKF(East China Sea Kuroshio Front) on the MABL(marine atmospheric boundary layer).The intensity of the ESKF is most robust from January to April in its annual cycle.The local strong surface northerly/northeasterly winds are observed right over the ESKF in January and in April and the wind speeds decrease upward in the MABL.The thermal wind effect that is derived from the baroclinic MABL forced by the strong SST gradient contributes to the strong surface winds to a large degree.The convergence zone existing along the warm flank of the ESKF is stronger in April than in January corresponding to the steeper SST(sea surface temperature) gradient.The collocations of the cloud cover maximum and precipitation maximum are basically consistent with the convergence zone of the wind field.The clouds develop higher(lower) in the warm(cold) flank of the ESKF due to the less(more) stable stratification in the MABL.The lowest clouds are observed in April on the cold flank of the ESKF and over the Yellow Sea due to the existence of the pronounced temperature inversion.The numerical experiments with smoothed SST are consistent with the results from the ovservations.ZHANG Suping LIU Jingwu MENG Xiangui 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,3:5

17Coupling of Hierarchical Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) Nanofibers into 3D Photothermal Aerogels Toward Simultaneous Water Evaporation and Purification显示文摘Serious freshwater shortage and environmental pollution boost the rapid development of solar-driven water production.Although improved evaporation rate has achieved in recent years,undesirable impurity(e.g.,pollutant components)can also be inevitably evaporated and collected as impurity in produced freshwater.This work reports new ultra-light three-dimensional(3D)aerogels assembled by hierarchical Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) nanofibers and reduced graphene oxide(RGO)for excit-ing synchronized solar-driven evaporation and water purification.Hydrophilic Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) fibrous channels linked up the graphene hot-spots and water body for sufficient water supply and bulk water insulation.Meanwhile,featured with thermal insulation effect,the Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) nanofibers effectively locked the converted heat with less energy loss from sunlight.The introducing of Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) nanofibers into RGO aerogel led to the effective interfacial evaporation for a more rapid water evaporation rate(2.19 kg·m−2·h−1,normalized to evaporation area including both top and side surface),which was 36%higher than that of pristine RGO aerogel.Moreover,simultaneous with the strong steam generation,Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) nanofibers in situ removed the pollutants within steam by photodegradation,achieving polluted wastewater purification with high con-taminant removal ratio of 91.3%.Our work on coupling Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2) nanofibers into photothermal aerogel provides attractive solutions for the challenges of clean water scarcity and serious environmental pollution.Xiangyu Meng Wanlin Xu Zhihui Li Jianhui Yang Jingwu Zhao Xixi Zou Yueming Sun Yunqian Dai 2020Advanced Fiber Materials2020,2,2:4
18Stability analysis of bank slope under conditions of reservoir impounding and rapid drawdown显示文摘Stability of an ancient landslide in a reservoir area is analyzed by using centrifugal model tests, soil laboratory tests and numerical analysis. Special attention is paid to variation in water level, simulation of large-scale heterogeneous prototype slope, and strength reduction of sliding zone soils after slope sliding. The results of centrifugal model test show that reservoir impounding can reduce sliding resistance at the slope toe, followed by toe collapsing and front cracking of slope. Rapid drawdown can produce hydrodynamic pressure towards reservoir at the front of slope. Deformation is observed in the middle and upper slope, which reduces the slope stability further and forms the pull-typed landslide trend. Reinforcement of slope toe is effective for preventing the progressive failure. The results of laboratory test show that slope toe sliding will lead to the redistribution of soil density and moisture content, which will reduce the shear strength of soil in sliding zone, and the cohesion of immersed soil is reduced gradually and finally vanishes with time. 20A new multi-parallel-beam collimators with improved sensitivity for SPECT显示文摘In this paper, a new design of multi-parallel-beam (MPB) collimators with projection multiplexing is proposed. In the MPB system, two different oblique parallel channels are introduced in a conventional parallel-beam collimator. The sensitivity of the single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) system is improved by allowing projection overlapping. Comparative simulation studies were performed in the MPB collimators, general purpose parallel-beam (GPPB) collimators and high sensitivity parallel-beam (HSPB) collimators. In the simulation, attenuation, scattering and the impact of detector response were neglected. Simulation results show that the sensitivity is improved for the MPB collimator comparing with parallel-beam collimator. The behavior of spatial resolution is only different near the front face of the collimators and approaches that of the GPPB with increasing depth. Proper pre-filtering is helpful for the image reconstruction in the MPB collimators. Comparing with the HSPB collimator, the MPB can achieve a similar sensitivity and better resolution. The simulation ot the U87 cells, and their expression levels were higher in the 10 Gy group than in the 0 Gy group.
