| 1 | Chitosan Oligosaccharide-Ca Complex Accelerates the Depuration of Cadmium from Chlamys ferrari显示文摘This study investigated the effect of a chitosan oligosaccharide-Ca complex (COS-Ca) on the depuration of cadmium (Cd) from Chlamys ferrari. After exposure to 0.5 mg L-1 CdCl2 for 3 or 7 d, the scallops were treated by COS-Ca prior to determina-tion of Cd, calcium (Ca) and zinc (Zn) contents, Cd distribution in organs, malondialdehyde (MDA) content and antioxidant variables. Results showed that COS-Ca reduced Cd content in the viscera of the scallops, with highest Cd depuration rate (47%) observed on day 3. The COS-Ca concentration substantially affected Cd depuration, and the exposure to 8.75 mg L-1 COS-Ca led to significantly higher Cd depuration rate compared with those of lower COS-Ca concentrations (1.75, 3.5, 5.25, and 7.00 mg L-1). Distribution analysis of Cd in scallop organs indicated that COS-Ca significantly reduced Cd content in the kidney throughout the 5-d experiment, as well as in the gill during the early stage of Cd depuration. In addition, COS-Ca treatment decreased glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity and MDA content while increasing superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities on different days. | 9 | Surface structure change properties:Auto-soft bionic fibrous membrane in reducing postoperative adhesion显示文摘Peritoneal adhesion is the most common adverse effect following abdominal surgery or inflammation.The occurrence in clinical trials has been successfully reduced using barriers.However,the shortcomings of frequently used adhesion barriers,such as rapid degradation rate of gel barrier and inadequate operation ability of solid barrier,cannot be ignored.In this study,a fibrous membrane with an ECM-like structure was prepared.The adhesion properties were reduced significantly by changing the surface structure.The fibrous membrane caused less inflammatory response and much less peripheral adhesion and intestinal obstruction compared to the casting film and the commercial film with smooth surface,though with the same components.Because of the auto-soft bionic structure and similarity in the mechanical modulus of the tissues,the fibrous membrane was more flexible when it adhered to the tissues,showed excellent effectiveness and biocompatibility.In addition to the rat and miniature pig models,a randomized,placebo-controlled,and multicenter clinical pilot study with 150 patients confirmed that because of its flexibility,biodegradability,and similarity to mechanical modulus and structure with tissues involved,the fibrous membrane served as a favorable implant for preventing post-operation adhesion. | Shanshan Xu Chenhong Wang Ruoqing Mao Xiaoyu Liang Heran Wang Zhenyu Lin Jiangxue Li Shilin Li Jipeng Jiang Tongshuo Zhang Yongfu Ma Yang Liu Charles C.Han Ying Liu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,6: | 1 |
| 10 | Research and Application of Role Theory in Ocean Carbon Cycle Ontology Construction显示文摘Many researchers have studied the ocean carbon cycle model trying to regulate the level of CO2 in atmosphere from viewpoint of quantification. Unlike other researches, this paper analyzes the conversion process of carbon element in the ocean from the qualitative viewpoint. There are many complex roles in the ocean carbon cycle, and it is hard to represent the case that an entity plays different role in different environment. An ontology technology Hozo role theory developed by Osaka University Mizoguchi Laboratory is proposed as a solution. The basic concepts and representation mode of Hozo role theory is introduced. The conversion process of ocean carbon cycle is abstracted and an ontology model using Hozo role theory is proposed. Instead of comprehensive common ontology construction method, we propose our own ontology development steps. Then an ontology about ocean carbon cycle is built in order to describe and share the basic knowledge of ocean carbon cycle. A knowledge base of material circulation is proposed based on the ontology. Its construction framework is described and some knowledge base query examples are also illustrated.
