| 2 | ORA59 and EIN3 interaction couples jasmonate-ethylene synergistic action to antagonistic salicylic acid regulation of PDF expression显示文摘Hormonal crosstalk is central for tailoring plant responses to the nature of challenges encountered.The role of antagonism between the two major defense hormones,salicylic acid(SA) and jasmonic acid(JA),and modulation of this interplay by ethylene(ET) in favor of JA signaling pathway in plant stress responses is well recognized,but the underlying mechanism is not fully understood.Here,we show the opposing function of two transcription factors,ethylene insensitive3(EIN3) and EIN3-Like1(EIL1),in SA-mediated suppression and JAmediated activation of PLANT DEFENSIN1.2(PDF1.2).This functional duality is mediated via their effect on protein,not transcript levels of the PDF1.2 transcriptional activator octadecanoid-responsive Arabidopsis59(ORA59).Specifically,JA induces ORA59 protein levels independently of EIN3/EIL1,whereas SA reduces the protein levelsdependently of EIN3/EIL1.Co-infiltration assays revealed nuclear co-localization of ORA59 and EIN3,and splitluciferase together with yeast-two-hybrid assays established their physical interaction.The functional ramification of the physical interaction is EIN3-dependent degradation of ORA59 by the 26 S proteasome.These findings allude to SA-responsive reduction of ORA59 levels mediated by EIN3 binding to and targeting of ORA59 for degrada4tion,thus nominating ORA59 pool as a coordination node for the antagonistic function of ET/JA and SA. | Xiang He Jishan Jiang Chang-Quan Wang Katayoon Dehesh | 2017 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2017,59,4: | 6 |
| 3 | Geochemistry of Clayey Aquitard Pore Water as Archive of Paleo-Environment, Western Bohai Bay显示文摘The record of paleo-environment in clayey aquitard pore water is much more effective relative to aquifer groundwater owing to the low permeability of clayey aquitard. Oxygen-18(18O), deuterium(D), and chemical patterns were determined in pore water samples extracted from two 500 m depth boreholes, G1 and G2, in western Bohai Bay, China. Shallow pore water samples(depth<102 m) are saline water, with the TDS(total dissolved solids) of 3.69–30.75 g/L, and deeper ones(depth=102–500 m) are fresh water, with the TDS<1 g/L. Content of major ions(i.e., Cl-, Na+, K+, Mg2+, SO2-4, Ca2+) is high in marine sediment pore water samples and gradually decrease towards to terrestrial sediment pore water, together with the Cl/Br and Sr/Ba ratios changing significantly in different sedimentary facies along the study profile, indicating that pore water may be paleo-sedimentary water and not replaced by modern water. δ18O profile and positive correlation between δ18O and Cl- of shallow saline pore water indicated diffusion as the main transport mechanism, and distinguished four transgressive layers since Late Quaternary(i.e., Holocene marine unit, two Late Pleistocene marine units and Middle Pleistocene marine unit), further supporting the finding that pore water retained the feature of paleo-sedimentary water. The study showed that the disturbedcoal and normal coal are greatly different in mechanical and physical properties which decided the speeds of ultrasonic wave travelling in them. This paper presents a set of experimental measuring system and method.The resultal of measurements conducted in 60 min areas revealed quite different ultrasonic characteristics indifferent types of coal mass textures. | 12 | A differential wide field electromagnetic method and its application in alkaline-surfactant-polymer(ASP) flooding monitoring显示文摘To improve effectiveness of ASP flooding, it is necessary to establish a reliable parameter design and tracking adjustment method to monitor the process of oil displacement. A differential wide field electromagnetic method was proposed and applied to the ASP displacement monitoring test in a block of the Daqing Oilfield. In the process of ASP flooding, the electromagnetic field was measured many times. The data acquired before the ASP flooding were set as the background field, and the resistivity model was obtained by inversion. Then, the resistivity data were calibrated by logging data and the resistivity model was established. Finally, the range and front of ASP flooding were deduced with the residual gradient from the spatial domain first-order difference of the resistivity model. | 13 | Axially N-Embedded Quasi-Carbon Nanohoops with Multioxidation States显示文摘The incorporation of heteroatoms into carbon nanohoops can significantly overcome aromatic stabilization energy and enrich their physicochemical properties depending on the positions and numbers of the doped atoms.Utilizing a V-shaped dipyreneo[c,e]dihydrophenazine as the building block,herein we report a novel kind of axially N-embedded quasi-carbon nanohoops by integratingπ-extended dihydropyrazine and para-phenylene subunits.Singlecrystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that their geometrical structures varied from droplet-shaped geometry for DPP-M and suppressed elliptical cross-section configuration for DPP-D to triangularly prismatic configuration for DPP-T.Spectroscopic measurements confirmed rich electronic properties,especially multioxidation behaviors due to the embedding of graphitic-N atoms,which are not observed in carbonaceous nanohoops and other analogs.Further investigations,including electron spin resonance spectroscopy,theoretical calculations,and single-crystal structure analyses,on the oxidized species of both DPP-D and DPP-T demonstrated their tunable open-shell ground states for the dications.This work provides a new synthetic strategy to axially N-embedded quasi-carbon nanohoops and gives insights into the design of structure-precise segments of graphitic-N-doped single-walled carbon nanotubes. | Shuhai Qiu Yongye Zhao Li Zhang Yong Ni Yanan Wu Huan Cong Da-Hui Qu Wei Jiang Jishan Wu He Tian Zhaohui Wang | 2023 | CCS Chemistry2023,5,8: | 0 |
