3Operation characteristics of AMS-02 loop heat pipe with bypass valve显示文摘Loop heat pipes (LHPs) were designed for the alpha magnetic spectrometer (AMS-02) to dissipate heat from the cryocoolers. A bypass valve is applied to the LHP to keep the cryocooler temperature above its limit ( 20°C) in cold environment. Extensive experiments were performed on operation characteristics of LHPs with the bypass valve for AMS-02 during thermal vacuum and thermal balance (TVTB) test. We found that the bypass valve can start up successfully in cold environment. With the bypass valve, the evaporator temperature is stable and can meet the requirement of the cryocooler. We analyzed three operating modes of the bypass valve. 4Design and test of flexible chassis automatic tracking steering system显示文摘In order to develop an innovative omnidirectional non-homonymic flexible chassis(FC),the four-wheel steering control method of FC was designed by a new concept called off-centered steering(OCS)and the automatic tracking steering system was analyzed.Novelty of this wheel concept lies in the non-conventional positioning of the steering axis and wheel axis.Additionally,the steering axis of steerable wheel was motorized with an on/off electrometrical brake to overcome a hyper-motorization issue inherent to the wheel’s geometrical properties and hold the steering position.Based on the off-centered steering characteristics of FC,the Wheatstone bridge was applied in the steering control system.The bridge resistances are used to track target steering angles and the actual steering angle,respectively.The output voltage of the bridge is exploited to adjust the wheel’s speed so that steering and automatic tracking could be achieved.Experiments at different speeds,loadings,and target steering angles were conducted.Results showed that the chassis can indeed be controlled independently and its steering range is from-90°to 90°,which indicated the automatic tracking steering system was effective.The electromagnetic lock(EL)can significantly improve the stability of the chassis and reduce the vibration.Loading has no significant effect on the accuracy of the steering angle and the time it takes to complete steering tasks.The time taken to complete a forward steering task showed a linear relationship with the required angles,but was independent of rotation speed;for backward steering,time was related to both target angles and rotation speed.The results presented in this research may provide a reference for the steering control strategies of the four-wheel individual drive and four-wheel(4WID/4WIS)vehicle in the future.Song Shujie Li Yining Qu Jiwei Zhou Wei Guo Kangquan 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,5:4
5Sea Experiments of the Underway Conductivity-Temperature-Depth Prototype Made in China显示文摘A new instrument for upper ocean survey, namely the UCTD (Underway Conductivity-Temperature-Depth), which combines some of the advantages of other underway instruments, is introduced in this paper. The Introduction section presents a description of the construction and function of the UCTD, and the experiments conducted in the South China Sea on board the R/V Dong Fang Hong 2 in July 2007 and August 2008. The UCTD system, with pressure and temperature sensors in the probe, is con- veniently portable, cost-effective and environment-friendly. It is hopefully suitable for future cruises. An intercomparison based on regressing with the experiment temperature data from both SeaBird plus911 CTD and the UCTD showed that the standard deviation is 0.88℃ and the correlation coefficient is 0.96, achieving the goals set for the current oceanography uses. In the hydrodynamic experiments, the descending velocities and depths were calculated for different ship speeds. A pulling test was designed with a tensiometer to measure the magnitude of the pull. The maximal tension of the line was found to be 66.2 kg, which is far lower than the bearing limit of the Hollow Spectra line. 6Theoretical analysis of a method for segmented heat exchanger design显示文摘In the process of the design of heat exchangers,it is difficult to establish the factors governing the optimal points of the design objective functions due to the contradictions and uncertainties of the design objectives.The variation of fluid properties is one of the main factors causing this type of uncertainty.Conventional design methods have not completely solved these problems.In the present work,based on the logarithmic mean temperature difference,a new heat exchanger design method(called the segmented design method) is proposed which takes into account the variation of fluid properties with respect to the temperature.In this method,the whole heat exchanger is first divided into several segments.Then by applying the principle of the conservation of energy and taking into account the initial conditions as well as the connecting conditions of the adjacent segments,the inlet and outlet temperatures of each segment are determined.Finally,the application of the logarithmic mean temperature difference method on each segment defines the heat transfer area.SONG JiWei XU MingTian CHENG Lin 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,20:2
7Experimental study and analysis of a novel multi-media plate heat exchanger显示文摘The experimental study and analysis of a novel multi-media plate heat exchanger were performed in this paper.This novel multi-media plate heat exchanger was self-developed during the process of the investigation and design of the alpha magnetic spectrometer(AMS) thermal system.The plate of this kind of novel plate heat exchanger is formed by discontinuous structure wave consisting of convex sphere and concave sphere,its heat transfer performance is better than that of the BR1 chevron plate heat exchanger,and its resistance characteristics are superior to those of the normally used 60-degree plate heat exchanger.Furthermore,the mechanism analysis of heat transfer enhancement shows that the spherical wave structure can reduce the local field synergy angle,so as to improve the field synergy degree of velocity vector and temperature gradient vector.SONG JiWei WANG Fei CHENG Lin 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,8:2
8Identifying and annotating human bifunctional RNAs reveals their versatile functions显示文摘Bifunctional RNAs that possess both protein-coding and noncoding functional properties were less explored and poorly understood. Here we systematically explored the characteristics and functions of such human bifunctional RNAs by integrating tandem mass spectrometry and RNA-seq data. We first constructed a pipeline to identify and annotate bifunctional RNAs,leading to the characterization of 132 high-confidence bifunctional RNAs. Our analyses indicate that bifunctional RNAs may be involved in human embryonic development and can be functional in diverse tissues. Moreover, bifunctional RNAs could interact with multiple miRNAs and RNA-binding proteins to exert their corresponding roles. Bifunctional RNAs may also function as competing endogenous RNAs to regulate the expression of many genes by competing for common targeting miRNAs. Finally,somatic mutations of diverse carcinomas may generate harmful effect on corresponding bifunctional RNAs. 13Fatigue-less relaxor ferroelectric thin films with high energy storage density via defect engineer显示文摘Thin film capacitors with excellent energy storage performances,thermal stability and fatigue endurance are strongly desired in modern electrical and electronic industry.Herein,we design and prepare lead-free0.7Sr_(0.7)Bi_(0.2)TiO_(3)-0.3BiFeO_(3)-x%Mn(x=0,0.5,1.5,2,3)thin films via sol-gel method.Mn ions of divalent valence combine with oxygen vacancies,forming defect complex,which results in marked decline in leakage current and obvious enhancement in breakdown strength.A high energy storage density~47.6 J cm^(-3)and good efficiency~65.68%are simultaneously achieved in 2%Mn doped 0.7Sr_(0.7)Bi_(0.2)TiO_(3)-0.3 BiFeO_(3)thin film capacitor.Moreover,the 2%Mn-doped thin film exhibits excellent thermal stability in wide operating temperature range(35–115℃)and strong fatigue endurance behaviors after 108 cycles.The above results demonstrate that 2%Mn-doped 0.7Sr_(0.7)Bi_(0.2)TiO_(3)-0.3 BiFeO_(3)thin film capacitor with superior energy storage performances is a potential candidate for electrostatic energy storage.Baijie Song Shuanghao Wu Hao Yan Kun Zhu Liuxue Xu Bo Shen Jiwei Zhai 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,18:0

15Evaluation of freezing state of sandstone using ultrasonic time-frequency characteristics显示文摘Common problems in engineering projects that involve artificial ground freezing of soil or rock include inadequate thickness,strength and continuity of artificial frozen walls.It is difficult to evaluate the freezing state using only a few thermometer holes at fixed positions or with other existing approaches.Here we report a novel experimental design that investigates changes in ultrasonic properties(received waveform,wave velocity V_(p),wave amplitude,frequency spectrum,centroid frequency f_(c),kurtosis of the frequency spectrum KFS,and quality factor Q)measured during upward freezing,compared with those during uniform freezing,in order to determine the freezing state in 150 mm cubic blocks of Ardingly sandstone.Water content,porosity and density were estimated during upward freezing to ascertain water migration and changes of porosity and density at different stages.The period of receiving the wave increased substantially and coda waves changed from loose to compact during both upward and uniform freezing.The trend of increasing V_(p) can be divided into three stages during uniform freezing.During upward freezing,V_(p) increased more or less uniformly.The frequency spectrum could be used as a convenient and rapid method to identify different freezing states of sandstone(unfrozen,upward frozen,and uniformly frozen).The continuous changes in reflection coefficient r_(φ),refraction coefficient t_(φ) and acoustic impedance field are the major reason for larger reflection and refraction during upward freezing compared with uniform freezing.Wave velocity V_(p),wave amplitude A_(h),centroid frequency f_(c) and quality factor Q were adopted as ultrasonic parameters to evaluate quantitatively the temperature T of uniformly frozen sandstone,and their application within a radar chart is recommended.Determination of V_(p) provides a convenient method to evaluate the freezing state and calculate the cryofront height and frozen section thickness of upward frozen sandstone,with accuracies of 73.37%-99.23%.Jiwei Zhang Julian Murton Tim Cane Vikram Maji Lili Sui Shujie Liu Song Zhang 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,3:0
16Interpreting the biochemical specificity of mouse spinal cord by confocal raman microspectral imaging显示文摘Interpreting the biochemical specifcity of spinal cord tissue is the essential requirement for underst.anding the biochemical mechanisms during spinal-cord-related pathological course.In this work,a longitudinal study was implemented to reveal a precise linkage betwoen the spectral features and the molecular composition in er vivo mouse spinal cord tissue by microspectral Raman imaging.It was testified that lipid-rich white matter could be distinguished from gray matter not only by the lipid Raman peaks at 1064,1300,1445 and 1660 cm^(-1),but also by protein(1250 and 1328 cm^(-1))and saccharides(913 and 1137 cm^(-1))distributions.K-means cluster analysis was further applied to visualize the morphological basis of spinal cord tissue by chemical components and their dist ribution patterns.T wo-dimensional chemical images were then generated to visualize the contrast between two different tissue types by integrating the intensitics of the featured Raman bands.All the obtained results ilustrated the biochemical characteristics of spinal cord tssue,as well as some specific substance variances bet ween different tssue types,which formed a solid basis for the molecular investigation of spinal cord pathologi cal alterations.Yuze Gong Zhuowen Liang Yaning Yin Jiwei Song Xueyu Hu Kaige Wang Qingli He Zhe Wang Jintao Bai Shuang Wang 2017Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2017,,5:0
