10Ultraviolet/ozone and oxygen plasma treatments for improving the contact of carbon nanotube thin film transistors显示文摘Carbon nanotube thin film transistor(CNT-TFT) is an emerging technology for future macroelectronics,such as chemical and biological sensors,optical detectors,and the backplane driving circuits for flat panel displays.The mostly reported fabrication method of CNT-TFT is a lift-off based photolithography process.In such fabrication process,photoresist(PR) residue contaminates the interface of tube-metal contact and deteriorates the device performance.In this paper,ultraviolet ozone(UVO) and oxygen plasma treatments were employed to remove the PR contamination.Through our well-designed experiments,the UVO treatment is confirmed an effective way of cleaning contamination at the tube-metal interface,while oxygen plasma treatment is too reactive and hard to control,which is not appropriate for CNT-TFTs.It is determined that 2–6 min UVO treatment is the preferred window,and the best optimized treatment time is 4 min,which leads to 15% enhancement of device performance.Qi Huang Jiye Xia Jie Zhao Guodong Dong Fang Liu Hu Meng Xuelei Liang 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,12:1

14Shape-Controlled Synthesis of Platinum-Based Nanocrystals and Their Electrocatalytic Applications in Fuel Cells显示文摘To achieve environmentally benign energy conversion with the carbon neutrality target via electrochemical reactions, the innovation of electrocatalysts plays a vital role in the enablement of renewable resources. Nowadays, Pt-based nanocrystals(NCs) have been identified as one class of the most promising candidates to efficiently catalyze both the half-reactions in hydrogen-and hydrocarbonbased fuel cells. Here, we thoroughly discuss the key achievement in developing shape-controlled Pt and Pt-based NCs, and their electrochemical applications in fuel cells. We begin with a mechanistic discussion on how the morphology can be precisely controlled in a colloidal system, followed by highlighting the advanced development of shape-controlled Pt, Pt-alloy, Pt-based core@shell NCs, Pt-based nanocages, and Pt-based intermetallic compounds. We then select some case studies on models of typical reactions(oxygen reduction reaction at the cathode and small molecular oxidation reaction at the anode) that are enhanced by the shape-controlled Pt-based nanocatalysts. 17Fungal diversity notes 491–602: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa显示文摘This is a continuity of a series of taxonomic and phylogenetic papers on the fungi where materials were collected from many countries,examined and described.In addition to extensive morphological descriptions and appropriate asexual and sexual connections,DNA sequence data are also analysed from concatenated datasets to infer phylogenetic relationships and substantiate systematic positions of taxa within appropriate ranks.Wherever new species or combinations are proposed,we apply an integrative approach using morphological and molecular data as well as ecological features wherever applicable.Notes on 112 fungal taxa are compiled in this paper including Biatriosporaceae and Roussoellaceae,Didysimulans gen.nov.,81 new species,18 new host records and new country records,five reference specimens,two new combinations,and three sexual and asexual morph reports.The new species 18A fault tolerant single sided matrix converter for flight control actuation systems显示文摘We describe a single sided matrix converter (SSMC) designed for safety critical applications like flight control actuation systems. Dynamic simulations of multi-phase SSMC using Matlab Simulink are carried out to evaluate the fault tolerance capabilities. Investigation into different numbers of phases and power converter topologies under single phase open circuit, single switch open circuit, and single switch short circuit has been executed. The simulation results confirm 5-phase SSMC design as a compromise between fault tolerance and converter size/volume. A 5-phase SSMC prototype was built. 19The circularly propagating pattern of the low-frequencyfluctuations of monthly MSL in the tropical PacificOcean and its correlation with El Nino显示文摘The long-term time series analysis of the SST (sea surface temperature) in the Eastern Equatorial Pacific Ocean and the monthly MSL (mean sea level) in the tropical Pacific Ocean is conducted. Their quasiperiodic and low-frequency oscillation features are revealed. The significant periods of low-frequency fluctuations for monthly MSL in the area of 20°N-20° S are between 43. 5 months and 50. 0 months, approximating closely to 47. 6 months which is the significant period of SST in the Eastern Equatorial Pacific Ocean. From the results of space-spectral analysis, the low-frequency fluctations of monthly MSL in the tropical Pacific Ocean appear to have a anticlockwise circularly-propagating pattern, which is, the Eastern Pacific Ocean (off-shore of Mexico) →the area of NEC (North Equatorial Current) →the Western Equatorial Pacific Ocean→the area of NECC (North Equatorial Counter-Current)→the Eastern Equatorial Pacific Ocean. 20High-performance non-Fermi-liquid metallic thermoelectric materials显示文摘Searching for high-performance thermoelectric(TE)materials in the paradigm of narrow-bandgap semiconductors is hampered by a bottleneck.Here we report on the discovery of metallic compounds,TiFe_(x)Cu_(2x−1)Sb and TiFe1.33Sb,showing the thermopower exceeding many TE semiconductors and the dimensionless figure of merits zTs comparable with the state-of-the-art TE materials.A quasi-linear temperature(T)dependent electrical resistivity in 2–700 K and the logarithmic T-dependent electronic specific heat at low temperature coexist with the high thermopower,highlighting the strong intercoupling of the non-Fermi-liquid(NFL)quantum critical behavior of electrons with TE transports.Electronic structure analysis reveals a competition between the antiferromagnetic(AFM)ordering and Kondo-like spin compensation as well as a parallel two-channel Kondo effect.The T-dependent magnetic susceptibility agrees with the quantum critical scenario of strong local correlation.Our work demonstrates the correlation among high TE performance,NFL quantum criticality,and magnetic fluctuation,which opens up directions for future research.Zirui Dong Yubo Zhang Jun Luo Ying Jiang Zhiyang Yu Nan Zhao Liusuo Wu Yurong Ruan Fang Zhang Kai Guo Jiye Zhang Wenqing Zhang 2023npj Computational Materials2023,,1:0
