1土壤水分胁迫制约全球植被变绿和初级生产力持续增加显示文摘大尺度的研究表明全球植被光合能力和生产力自20世纪80年代以来持续增加,但是很少有研究关注到其时空异质性.本研究将全球植被绿度变化趋势分为持续变绿、由变绿转为变棕、持续变棕以及不显著变化等不同类型,发现全球植被绿度变棕区域持续增加.到2010年以后逐渐超过持续变绿的区域(27.8×10^(6)km^(2),26.4%),达到了39.0×10^(6)km^(2)(全球植被面积的35.9%).这一现象抵消了2010年前12.0%±3.1%(0.019±0.004 NDVI a^(-1))植被绿度增加(2010~2016,P<0.05).全球陆地生态系统初级生产力也表现为类似的变化特征.这种变化主要是由于土壤水对于植被胁迫的负向作用,在部分地区超过了温度和辐射对于植被光合的积极作用.目前地球系统模型中的相关模块并不能反映这一正在增加的植被土壤水分胁迫.研究提示随着全球升温作用进一步加强,目前的地球系统模型土地模块可能会高估全球陆地生态系统碳固持能力.冯晓明 傅伯杰 张园 潘乃青 曾振中 田汉勤 吕一河 陈永喆 Philippe Ciais 王应平 张橹 程磊 Fernando T.Maestre Marcos Fernández-Martínez Jordi Sardans Josep Peñuelas 2021Science Bulletin2021,66,14:5

14Evaluation of an educational telephone intervention strategy to improve non-screening colonoscopy attendance:A randomized controlled trial显示文摘BACKGROUND Colonoscopy attendance is a key quality parameter in colorectal cancer population screening programmes.Within these programmes,educative interventions with bidirectional contact carried out by trained personnel have been proved to be an important tool for colonoscopy attendance improvement,and because of its huge clinical and economic impact,they have been widely implemented.However,outside of this population programmes,educative measures to improve colonoscopy attendance have been poorly studied and no navigation interventions are usually performed.AIM To investigate the clinical and economic impacts of an educational telephone intervention on colonoscopy attendance outside colorectal cancer screening programmes.METHODS This randomized controlled trial included consecutive patients referred to colonoscopy from primary care centres from November 2017 to May 2018.The intervention group(IG)received a telephone intervention,while the control group(CG)did not.Patients assigned to the IG received an educational telephone call 7 d before the colonoscopy appointment.The intervention was carried out by two nurses with deep endoscopic knowledge who were previously trained for a telephone educational intervention for colonoscopy.The impact on patient compliance with preparedness protocols related to bowel cleansing,antithrombotic management,and sedation scheduling was also evaluated.A second call was conducted to assess patient satisfaction.Intention-to-treat(ITT)and perprotocol(PP)analyses were performed.RESULTS A total of 738 and 746 patients were finally included in the IG and CG respectively.Six hundred thirteen(83%)patients were contacted in the IG.The non-attendance rate was lower in the IG,both in the ITT analysis(IG 8.4%vs CG 14.3%,P<0.001)and in the PP analysis(4.4%vs 14.3%,P<0.001).In a multivariable analysis,belonging to the control group increased the risk of nonattendance in both,the ITT analysis(OR 1.81,95%CI:1.27 to 2.58,P=0.001)and the PP analysis(OR 3.56,95%CI:2.25 to 5.64,P<0.001).There was also a significant difference in compliance with preparedness protocols[bowel cleansing:IG 61.7%vs CG 52.6%(P=0.001),antithrombotic management:IG 92.5%vs CG 62.8%(P=0.001),and sedation scheduling:IG 78.8%vs CG 0%(P≤0.001)].We observed a net benefit of €55600/year after the intervention.The information given before the procedure was rated as excellent by 26%(CG)and 51%(IG)of patients,P≤0.001.CONCLUSION Educational telephone nurse intervention improves attendance,protocol compliance and patient satisfaction in the non-screening colonoscopy setting and has a large economic impact,which supports its imple-mentation and maintenance over time.Agustin Seoane Xenia Font Juan C Perez Rocio Perez Carlos F Enriquez Miriam Parrilla Faust Riu Josep M Dedeu Luis E Barranco Xavier Duran Ines A Ibanez Marco A Alvarez 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,47:0
15Geotechnical particle finite element method for modeling of soilstructure interaction under large deformation conditions显示文摘The possibilities of the particle finite element method(PFEM)for modeling geotechnical problems are increasingly evident.PFEM is a numerical approach to solve large displacement and large strain continuum problems that are beyond the capabilities of classical finite element method(FEM).In PFEM,the computational domain is reconfigured for optimal solution by frequent remeshing and boundary updating.PFEM inherits many concepts,such as a Lagrangian description of continuum,from classic geomechanical FEM.This familiarity with more popular numerical methods facilitates learning and application.This work focuses on G-PFEM,a code specifically developed for the use of PFEM in geotechnical problems.The article has two purposes.The first is to give the reader an overview of the capabilities and main features of the current version of the G-PFEM and the second is to illustrate some of the newer developments of the code.G-PFEM can solve coupled hydro-mechanical static and dynamic problems involving the interaction of solid and/or deformable bodies.Realistic constitutive models for geomaterials are available,including features,such as structure and destructuration,which result in brittle response.The solutions are robust,solidly underpinned by numerical technology including mixedfield formulations,robust and mesh-independent integration of elastoplastic constitutive models and a rigorous and flexible treatment of contact interactions.The novel features presented in this work include the contact domain technique,a natural way to capture contact interactions and impose contact constraints between different continuum bodies,as well as a new simplified formulation for dynamic impact problems.The code performance is showcased by the simulation of several soil-structure interaction problems selected to highlight the novel code features:a rigid footing insertion in soft rock,pipeline insertion and subsequent lateral displacement on over-consolidated clay,screw-pile pull-out and the dynamic impact of a free-falling spherical penetrometer into clay.Josep Maria Carbonell Lluís Monforte Matteo O.Ciantia Marcos Arroyo Antonio Gens 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,3:0
16Using fireball networks to track more frequent reentries:Falcon 9 upperstage orbit determination from video recordings显示文摘On February 16,2021,an artificial object moving slowly over the Mediterranean was recorded by the Spanish Meteor Network(SPMN).Based on astrometric measurements,we identified this event as the reentry engine burn of a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle’s upper stage.To study this event in detail,we adapted the plane intersection method for near-straight meteoroid trajectories to analyze the slow and curved orbits associated with artificial objects.To corroborate our results,we approximated the orbital elements of the upper stage using four pieces of“debris”cataloged by the U.S.Government’s Combined Space Operations Center.Based on these calculations,we also estimated the possible deorbit hazard zone using the MSISE90 model atmosphere.We provide guidance regarding the interference that these artificial bolides may generate in fireball studies.Additionally,because artificial bolides will likely become more frequent in the future,we point out the new role that ground-based detection networks can play in the monitoring of potentially hazardous artificial objects in near-Earth space and in determining the strewn fields of artificial space debris.Eloy Pena-Asensio Josep M.Trigo-Rodriguez Marco Langbroek Albert Rimola Antonio J.Robles 2021Astrodynamics2021,5,4:0
17Narrow band imaging and white light endoscopy in the characterization of a polypectomy scar:A single-blind observational study显示文摘AIM To assess the incremental benefit of narrow band imaging(NBI) and white light endoscopy(WLE), randomizing the initial technique for the detection of residual neoplasia at the polypectomy scar after an endoscopic piecemeal mucosal resection(EPMR).METHODS We conducted an observational study in an academic center to assess the incremental benefit of NBI and WLE randomly applied 1:1(NBI-WLE or WLE-NBI) in the follow-up of a post-EPMR scar by the same endoscopist.RESULTS A total of 112 EPMR scars were included. The median baseline polyp size was 20 mm(interquartile range: 14-30). At first review, NBI and WLE showed good sensitivity(85.0% vs 78.9%), specificity(77.1% vs 84.2%) and overall accuracy(80.0% vs 82.5%). NBI after WLE(WLE-NBI group) improved accuracy, but this difference was not statistically significant [area under the curve(AUC): 86.8% vs 81.6%, P = 0.15]. WLE after NBI(NBI-WLE group) did not improve accuracy(AUC: 81.4% vs 81.1%, P = 0.9). Overall, recurrence was found in 39/112(34.8%) lesions.CONCLUSION Although no statistically significant differences were found between the two techniques at the first postEPMR assessment, the use of NBI after WLE may improve residual neoplasia detection. 18Polymorphism AGT2(rs4762)is involved in the development of dermatologic events:Proof-of-concept in hepatocellular carcinoma patients treated with sorafenib显示文摘BACKGROUND Dermatologic adverse events(DAEs)are associated with a better outcome in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)irrespective of the therapeutic agent received.The exact mechanisms associated with the development of DAEs are unknown although several studies point to direct toxicity of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)to the skin or an immune-mediated reaction triggered by the oncologic treatment.As is the case in other conditions,individual genetic variants may partially explain a higher risk of DAEs.AIM To evaluate the contribution of several gene variants to the risk of developing DAEs in HCC patients treated with TKIs.METHODS We first analyzed 27 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)from 12 genes selected as potential predictors of adverse event(AE)development in HCC patients treated with sorafenib[Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer 1(BCLC1)cohort].Three additional cohorts were analyzed for AGT1(rs699)and AGT2(rs4762)polymorphisms-initially identified as predictors of DAEs:BCLC2(n=79),Northern Italy(n=221)and Naples(n=69)cohorts,respectively.The relation between SNPs and DAEs and death were assessed by univariate and multivariate Cox regression models,and presented with hazard ratios and their 95%confidence intervals(95%CI).RESULTS The BCLC1 cohort showed that patients with arterial hypertension(AHT)(HR=1.61;P value=0.007)and/or AGT SNPs had an increased risk of DAEs.Thereafter,AGT2(rs4762)AA genotype was found to be linked to a statistically significant increased probability of DAEs(HR=5.97;P value=0.0201,AA vs GG)in the Northern Italy cohort by multivariate analysis adjusted for BCLC stage,ECOG-PS,diabetes and AHT.The value of this genetic marker was externally validated in the cohort combining the BCLC1,BCLC2 and Naples cohorts[HR=3.12(95%CI:1.2-8.14),P value=0.0199,AGT2(rs4762)AA vs AG genotype and HR=2.73(95%CI:1.18-6.32)P value=0.0188,AGT2(rs4762)AA vs GG genotype].None of the other gene variants tested were found to be associated with the risk of DAE development.CONCLUSION DAE development in HCC patients receiving TKIs could be explained by the AGT2(rs4762)gene variant.If validated in other anti-oncogenic treatments,it might be considered a good prognosis marker.Víctor Sapena Massimo Iavarone Loreto Boix Floriana Facchetti Maria Guarino Marco Sanduzzi Zamparelli Alessandro Granito Esther Samper Mario Scartozzi Josep Corominas Giorgia Marisi Alba Díaz Andrea Casadei-Gardini Laura Gramantieri Pietro Lampertico Filomena Morisco Ferran Torres Jordi Bruix María Reig 2022World Journal of Hepatology2022,14,7:0
