12Tectonic juxtaposition of crust and continental growth during orogenesis: Example from the Rengali Province, eastern India显示文摘The southern boundary of the Singhbhum Craton witnessed multiple orogenies that juxtaposed thin slice of granulite suite of the Rengali Province against the low-grade granite-greenstone belt of the craton along the EeW trending Sukinda Thrust.The strong southerly dipping mylonitic foliation within the granulites along with the prominent down-dip mineral lineation,suggest a northerly-verging thrusting.Mylonitized charnockite at the contact zone contains enclaves of mafic and ultramafic granulite,whereas granitoid gneiss contains enclaves of pelitic granulite.Mafic granulite enclaves preserve an early(S1M)foliation that formed during D1Mdeformation.This rock,along with the host charnockite,were intensely deformed by the D2Mthrusting event and resulting S2Mfoliation development in both rock suites.Geothermobarometric and pseudosection analyses show that the garnet-clinopyroxene-plagioclaseorthopyroxene-ilmenite-quartz assemblage in mafic granulite was stabilized at high-pressure and temperature conditions(10 12 kbar,860 C)and was overprinted by a fine-grained assemblage of clinopyroxene-plagioclase hornblende that developed during decompression(down to 5.5e7.5 kbar).Matrix hornblende shows incipient breakdown to garnet-clinopyroxene-quartz intergrowth due to a granulite facies reworking.A contrasting P-T history is preserved in the pelitic granulite.The peak assemblage garnet-orthopyroxene-cordierite-quartz-rutile was stabilized at w6.0 kbar,730 C which resulted from heating of the mid crust magma during the D2Mthrusting.The contrasting P-T histories could result from the tectonic juxtaposition of lower-and mid-crustal section during the D2Mevent.Evidences of an early orogenic imprint within the mafic granulite imply involvement of deep continental crust during southward growth of the Singhbhum Craton.Sankar Bose Susmita Guha Gautam Ghosh Kaushik Das Joydip Mukhopadhyay 2015Geoscience Frontiers2015,6,4:0
13Clay Mineral and Geochemical Proxies for Intense Climate Change in the Permian Gondwana Rock Record from Eastern India显示文摘The clay mineral assemblages and geochemical compositions of the Permian Talchir and Barakar mudstones of the Raniganj basin,India,have been used to interpret terrestrial paleoclimate.The Talchir Formation presents unequivocal evidences of the Permian global glacial climate,and the overlying Barakar Formation with braided fluvial deposits immediately follows the glacial amelioration stage to a humid warm climate.Sediments unaffected by burial diagenesis and originated from a similar source under contrasting climates are ideal for developing proxies for substantial climate shift.Illite(28.4-63.8%),illite/smectite(0-58.6%,40-80%illite),chlorite(0-53.9%),and chlorite/smectite(5.6-29.8%)constitute the clay mineral assemblage in the Talchir Formation whereas illite(5.3-78.2%),illite/smectite(trace-34.1%,mostly 60-90%illite),and kaolinite(36.1-86.8%)dominate the clay mineral assemblage in the Barakar Formation.The Talchir mudrocks are enriched in mobile elements and depleted in alumina w.r.t.PAAS,have relatively higher K_(2)O/Al_(2)O_(3) ratios(~0.3),high ICV(1.12-1.28),and lower CIA values(52.6-65.1)compared to those of the younger Barakar mudstones.The Barakar mudstones are depleted in mobile elements w.r.t.PAAS,have relatively low ICV(0.33-0.62)and K_(2)O/Al_(2)O_(3) values(0.11-0.16),and higher CIA values(72.9-88.2).Textural,mineralogical immaturity,and rock fragments of different components of the basement seen in the Talchir sandstones show these sediments being a first-cycle sedimentary deposit.The distinctive clay mineral assemblage and major oxide composition of the Talchir mudrocks attest to a unique low intensity chemical weathering in cold arid climate.Significant presence of kaolinite as well as distinctive geochemical characters of the Barakar mudrocks marks a shift in the paleoclimate from cold arid to humid.This climatic shift is further supported by the proportion and composition of illite/smectite across the formations.The relative proportion of chlorite and kaolinite and composition of illite/smectite therefore closely corroborate the significant climate shift,and such proxies,therefore,are useful indicators of climate extremes in the geological record.Sampa Ghosh Joydip Mukhopadhyay Abhijit Chakraborty 2019Research2019,,1:0
14Modeling and analysis of the transmission dynamics of mosquito-borne disease with environmental temperature fluctuation显示文摘Most of the vector-borne diseases show a clear dependence on seasonal variation,including climate change.In this paper,we proposed a nonautonomous mathematical model consisting of a periodic system of nonlinear differential equations.In the proposed model,the realistic functional forms for the different temperature-dependent parameters are considered.The autonomous system of the proposed model is also analyzed.The nontrivial solution of the autonomous model is locally asymptotically stable if R0<1.It is shown that a unique endemic equilibrium point of the autonomous model exists when R0>1 and proved that endemic solution is linearly stable when R0>1.The nonautonomous model is shown to have a nontrivial disease-free periodic state,which is globally asymptotically stable whenever temperature-dependent reproduction number is less than unity.It is observed that a unique positive endemic periodic solution of the nonautonomous system exists only when a temperature-dependent reproduction number greater than unity,which makes for the persistence of the disease.Numerical simulation has been carried out to support the analytical results and shows the effects of temperature variability in the life span of mosquitoes as well as the persistence of the disease.O.P.Misra Joydip Dhar Omprakash Singh Sisodiya 2022International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2022,13,3:0

16Three simultaneous innovations interrelationships:An adopter dynamics model显示文摘In this paper, we develop a conceptual framework of a innovation diffusion dynamicsmodel in which multiple parallel innovations are effecting each other during the diffusionprocess. A mathematical model is proposed to explore the interaction and diffusion ofthree innovations simultaneously available in market. The stability analysis is carriedout for various types of diffusions on such system both analytically and numerically.It is observed that the association between innovations in product market could becomplementary, substitute, independent or competitive.
