1High-Resolution Mesoscale Analysis Data from the South China Heavy Rainfall Experiment (SCHeREX): Data Generation and Quality Evaluation显示文摘In this study, the observational data acquired in the South China Heavy Rainfall Experiment (SCHeREX) from May to July 2008 and 2009 were integrated and assimilated with the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Local Analysis and Prediction System (LAPS; information available online at http://gffzzc2aa3fc9434744efh66f5wfvbq5qo6u66.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn). A high-resolution mesoscale analysis dataset was then generated at a spatial resolution of 5 km and a temporal resolution of 3 h in four observational areas: South China, Central China, Jianghuai area, and Yangtze River Delta area. The quality of this dataset was evaluated as follows. First, the dataset was qualitatively compared with radar reflectivity and TBB image for specific heavy rainfall events so as to examine its capability in reproduction of mesoscale systems. The results show that the SCHeREX analysis dataset has a strong capability in capturing severe mesoscale convective systems. Second, the mean deviation and root mean square error of the SCHeREX mesoscale analysis fields were analyzed and compared with radiosonde data. The results reveal that the errors of geopotential height, temperature, relative humidity, and wind of the SCHeREX analysis were within the acceptable range of observation errors. In particular, the average error was 45 m for geopotential height between 700 and 925 hPa, 1.0-1.1°C for temperature, less than 20% for relative humidity, 1.5-2.0 m s-1 for wind speed, and 20-25° for wind direction. The above results clearly indicate that the SCHeREX mesoscale analysis dataset is of high quality and sufficient reliability, and it is applicable to refined mesoscale weather studies.NI Yunqi CUI Chunguang LI Hongli PENG Juxiang QIU Xuexing ZHANG Yanxia XU Xiaolin GAO Mei JIE Lianshu ZHANG Wenhua 2011Acta meteorologica Sinica2011,25,4:2
2Overexpression of Sirt6 ameliorates sleep deprivation induced-cognitive impairment by modulating glutamatergic neuron function显示文摘Sleep benefits the restoration of energy metabolism and thereby suppo rts neuronal plasticity and cognitive behaviors.Sirt6 is a NAD+-dependent protein deacetylase that has been recognized as an essential regulator of energy metabolism because it modulates various transcriptional regulators and metabolic enzymes. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of Sirt6 on cerebral function after chronic sleep deprivation(CSD).We assigned C57BL/6J mice to control or two CSD groups and subjected them to AAV2/9-CMV-EGFP or AAV2/9-CMV-Sirt6-EGFP infection in the prelimbic cortex(PrL).We then assessed cerebral functional connectivity(FC) using resting-state functional MRI,neuron/astrocyte metabolism using a metabolic kinetics analysis;dendritic spine densities using sparse-labeling;and miniature excitato ry postsynaptic currents(mEPSCs) and action potential(AP) firing rates using whole-cell patchclamp recordings. In addition,we evaluated cognition via a comprehensive set of behavioral tests.Compared with controls,Sirt6 was significantly decreased(P<0.05) in the PrL after CSD,accompanied by cognitive deficits and decreased FC between the PrL and accumbens nucleus, piriform cortex, motor co rtex, somatosensory co rtex, olfactory tubercle, insular cortex, and cerebellum.Sirt6 ove rexpression reve rsed CSD-induced cognitive impairment and reduced FC.Our analysis of metabolic kinetics using [1-13C] glucose and [2-13C] acetate showed that CSD reduced neuronal Glu4and GABA2synthesis,which could be fully restored via forced Sirt6 expression.Furthermore,Sirt6 ove rexpression reversed CSD-induced decreases in AP firing rates as well as the frequency and amplitude of mEPSCs in PrL pyramidal neurons. These data indicate that Sirt6 can improve cognitive impairment after CSD by regulating the PrL-associated FC network, neuronal glucose metabolism, and glutamatergic neurotransmission.Thus,Sirt6 activation may have potential as a novel strategy for treating sleep disorder-related diseases.Jinpiao Zhu Chang Chen Zhen Li Xiaodong Liu Jingang He Ziyue Zhao Mengying He Binbin Nie Zili Liu Yingying Chen Kuanpin Su Xiang Li Juxiang Chen Hongbing Xiang Fuqiang Xu Kangguang Lin Zongze Zhang Jie Wang 2023Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,11:1

5Dual‑Performance Optimized Silks from Ultra‑Low Dose Polymer Dots Feeding and Its Absorption, Distribution and Excretion in the Silkworms显示文摘Fluorescent polymer dots(Pdots)have the advantages of excellent optical properties, great biocompatibility and high photostability.Herein,we feed ultra-low doses Pdots to silkworms for the first time and aim to prepare dual-performance modified silks. After Pdots feeding, the fluorescence signal of cocoons and degummed silks increases significantly, which is more stable and more uniform than that of post-treatment silks. Moreover,Pdots hinder the conformation transformation of silk fibroin and improve the mechanical property of twisted silk strand. The highest elongation at break point is 20.75±0.03% and breaking strength is 271.7±3.8 MPa.With excellent fluorescence and mechanical properties, the optimized silks are successfully applied as a scaffold for cell culture and imaging.Furthermore,we investigate the metabolism of Pdots in the silkworms for understanding the behaviours of Pdots in the process of silks synthesis and secretion.Jingru Li Yuqiao Li Shuting Lu Juxiang Zhang Chunfu Zhang Liqin Xiong 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,4:1

12Antagonistic effect of 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) on generation of immunosuppressive protein of stress in the rat显示文摘Neonatal rats were injected with 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) for chemical sympa-thectomy. The rats were treated with restraint stress when they grew up to 56 d. It has been found that the generation of immunosuppressive protein of stress (ISPS) is significantly reduced, suggesting that peripheral sympathetic nerve plays an important role in mediating the generation of ISPS.Juxiang Li Li Shao Yifan Li Lin Mei Shaoguang Fan 1999Chinese Science Bulletin1999,44,21:0
