| 1 | Serum Mac-2 binding protein is a novel biomarker for chronic pancreatitis显示文摘AIM: To determine the efficacy of Mac-2 binding protein(Mac-2bp) for diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis.METHODS: Fifty-nine healthy volunteers(HV), 162 patients with chronic pancreatitis(CP), and 94 patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC) were enrolled in this study. We measured serum Mac-2bp using our developed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. Additional biochemical variables were measured using an automated analyzer(including aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, γ-glutamyltransferase, alkaline phosphatase, triglyceride, C-reactive protein, and amylase levels) or chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay(carbohydrate antigen 19-9 and carcinoembryonic antigen). The ability of Mac-2bp to predict CP diagnosis accurately was assessed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analyses.RESULTS: Serum Mac-2bp levels were significantly increased in CP patients compared to HV(P < 0.0001) and PDAC patients(P < 0.0001). Area under the ROC curve values of Mac-2bp for the discrimination of CP from HV and PDAC were 0.727 and 0.784, respectively. Multivariate analyses demonstrated that serum Mac-2bp levels were independent determinants for CP diagnosis from HV and PDAC patients. Immunohistological staining showed that Mac-2bp was expressed faintly in the pancreas tissues of both CP and PDAC patients. Serum aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, γ-glutamyltransferase, alkaline phosphatase, and triglyceride levels were significantly higher in patients with CP or PDAC. Serum Mac-2bp levels were highly correlated with protein levels of alanine aminotransferase, γ-glutamyltransferase, and C-reactive protein, but not amylase, suggesting that the damaged liver produces Mac-2bp. | 3 | Ileo-ileal intussusception caused by lymphangioma of the small bowel treated by single-incision laparoscopic-assisted ileal resection显示文摘Intraabdominal lymphangiomas are uncommon;additionally,those affecting the gastrointestinal tract are rare and account for less than 1%of cases.Intussusception caused by a cystic lymphangioma of the small bowel is extremely rare.The patient was a20-year-old woman who visited our emergency room with a complaint of abdominal pain.A computed tomography image revealed ileo-ileal intussusception with a leading hypovascular mass measuring 1 cm in a diameter.Single-incision laparoscopic-assisted ileal resection was performed.The surgical specimen consisted of a soft polycystic mass.Macroscopically,a pedunculated polyp with a convolutional pattern was found.Microscopically,the inner surfaces of the cysts were covered with a single layer of endothelial cells.On immunohistochemical examination,the endothelial cells were partially positive for D2-40 and CD34.Smooth muscle cells were also found around the cysts.The lesion was diagnosed as a cystic lymphangioma.Dozens of cases of small bowel lymphangiomas have previously been reported.Of these,cases with intussusception were very rare.This is the first case of small bowel intussusception due to lymphangioma treated by singleincision laparoscopic-assisted surgery. | Atsushi Kohga Akihiro Kawabe Yuto Hasegawa Kiyoshige Yajima Takuya Okumura Kimihiro Yamashita Jun Isogaki Kenji Suzuki Akira Komiyama | 2017 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2017，23，1： | 2 |
| 4 | Effects of water saturation and loading rate on direct shear tests of andesite显示文摘For estimating the long-term stability of underground framework,it is vital to learn the mechanical and rheological characteristics of rock in multiple water saturation conditions.However,the majority of previous studies explored the rheological properties of rock in air-dried and water saturated conditions,as well as the water effects on compressive and tensile strengths.In this study,andesite was subjected to direct shear tests under five water saturation conditions,which were controlled by varying the wetting and drying time.The tests were conducted at alternating displacement rates under three vertical stresses.The results reveal that the shear strength decreases exponentially as water saturation increases,and that the increase in shear strength with a tenfold increase in displacement rate is nearly constant for each of the vertical stresses.Based on the findings of the shear tests in this study and the compression and tension tests in previous studies,the influences of both water saturation and loading rate on the Hoek-Brown failure criterion for the andesite was examined.These results indicate that the brittleness index of the andesite,which is defined as the ratio of uniaxial compressive strength to tensile strength,is independent of both water saturation and loading rate and that the influences of the water saturation dependence and the loading rate dependence of the failure criterion can be converted between each other. | Tianshu Bao Kimihiro Hashiba Katsunori Fukui | 2022 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022，14，2： | 2 |
