2Preparation of Novel Side-chain Pseudopolyrotaxanes Consisting of Cucurbituril[6] and Polyamine Salts显示文摘Pseudorotaxane monomer (VBCB) containing cucurbitutil[6] (CB[6]) and N1-(4- vinylbenzyl)-1,4-diaminobutane dihydrochloride (VBDADC) is obtained by self-assembly of cucurbituril[6] with VBDADC in water and then polymerized using potassium persulfate (KPS) as initiator to give novel water-soluble side-chain cucurbituril[6]-based pseudopolyrotaxane (PVBCB). The chemical structures of PVBCB, VBCB and VBDADC are confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra and elemental analysis. 9Changes in hippocampal neural response by external reward显示文摘The hippocampus is thought to contribute largely to memory processing and spatial navigation.Various research projects have shown evidence regarding these two crucial roles.However,many unknown functions of hippocampus remain.A great deal of research on the hippocampus is ongoing,but much of this research deals with single neuron,and little research has been conducted on what happens between neurons in hippocampus as they play these roles.In this paper,we intend to examine what changes hippocampal neurons undergo in response to a stimulus.Using an imbalanced,index of timedependent Gini's coefficient,the firing balance between neurons during the moment in which a stimulus is received is examined.More importantly,the different firing balances are observed in reward situation.The result demonstrates the multineuron in hippocampus fires with balance for a while when the rat has reward.In addition,time-dependent Gini's coefficient is a feature that can verify what is not shown by using existing features.Kimoon Kang Kyungjin You Minwhan Jung Hyunchool Shin 2013Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation2013,4,4:0
10Graphene Bridge Heterostructure Devices for Negative Differential Transconductance Circuit Applications显示文摘Two-dimensional van der Waals(2D vdW)material-based heterostructure devices have been widely studied for high-end electronic applications owing to their heterojunction properties.In this study,we demonstrate graphene(Gr)-bridge heterostructure devices consisting of laterally series-connected ambipolar semiconductor/Gr-bridge/n-type molybdenum disulfide as a channel material for field-effect transistors(FET).Unlike conventional FET operation,our Gr-bridge devices exhibit nonclassical transfer characteristics(humped transfer curve),thus possessing a negative differential transconductance.These phenomena are interpreted as the operating behavior in two series-connected FETs,and they result from the gate-tunable contact capacity of the Gr-bridge layer.Multi-value logic inverters and frequency tripler circuits are successfully demonstrated using ambipolar semiconductors with narrow-and wide-bandgap materials as more advanced circuit applications based on non-classical transfer characteristics.Thus,we believe that our innovative and straightforward device structure engineering will be a promising technique for future multi-functional circuit applications of 2D nanoelectronics.Minjong Lee Tae Wook Kim Chang Yong Park Kimoon Lee Takashi Taniguchi Kenji Watanabe Min‑gu Kim Do Kyung Hwang Young Tack Lee 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,2:0
11Coupled CUBIC Congestion Control for MPTCP in Broadband Networks显示文摘Recently,multipath transmission control protocol(MPTCP)was standardized so that data can be transmitted through multiple paths to utilize all available path bandwidths.However,when high-speed long-distance networks are included in MPTCP paths,the traffic transmission performance of MPTCP is severely deteriorated,especially in case the multiple paths’characteristics are heavily asymmetric.In order to alleviate this problem,we propose a“Coupled CUBIC congestion control”that adopts TCP CUBIC on a large bandwidth-delay product(BDP)path in a linked increase manner for maintaining fairness with an ordinary TCP traversing the same bottleneck path.To verify the performance excellence of the proposed algorithm,we implemented the Coupled CUBIC Congestion Control into Linux kernels by modifying the legacy MPTCP linked-increases algorithm(LIA)congestion control source code.We constructed asymmetric heterogeneous network testbeds mixed with large and small BDP paths and compared the performances of LIA and Coupled CUBIC by experiments.Experimental results show that the proposed Coupled CUBIC utilizes almost over 80%of the bandwidth resource in the high BDP path,while the LIA utilizes only less than 20%of the bandwidth for the same path.It was confirmed that the resource utilization and traffic transmission performance have been greatly improved by using the proposed Coupled CUBIC in high-speed multipath networks,as well as maintaining MPTCP fairness with competing single-path CUBIC or Reno TCP flows.Jae Yong Lee Byung Chul Kim Youngmi Kwon Kimoon Han 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,45,4:0
