1Graft-accelerated virus-induced gene silencing facilitates functional genomics in rose flowers显示文摘Rose has emerged as a model ornamental plant for studies of flower development, senescence, and morphology, as well as the metabolism of floral fragrances and colors.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS) has long been used in functional genomics studies of rose by vacuum infiltration of cuttings or seedlings with an Agrobacterium suspension carrying TRV-derived vectors. However, VIGS in rose flowers remains a challenge because of its low efficiency and long time to establish silencing. Here we present a novel and rapid VIGS method that can be used to analyze gene function in rose,called ‘graft-accelerated VIGS', where axil ary sprouts are cut from the rose plant and vacuum infiltrated with Agrobacterium. The inoculated scions are then grafted back onto the plants to flower and silencing phenotypes can be observed within 5 weeks, post-infiltration. Using this new method, we successfully silenced expression of the RhDFR_1, RhA G, and RhNUDX_1 in rose flowers, and affected their color, petal number, as well as fragrance, respectively. This grafting method will facilitate high-throughput functional analysis of genes in rose flowers. 2Inheritance of Perpetual Blooming in Rosa chinensis ‘Old Blush'显示文摘Perpetual blooming is one of the most important biological and economical traits in modern rose, while the genetic basis underlining the control of this trait is poorly investigated. With an aim in dissecting the genetic determinism of perpetual blooming, we developed six rose populations(OB, W, F1, F2, BC1 OB and BC1W) derived from a WOB population [interspecific diploid hybridization between Rosa chinensis ‘Old Blush'(OB) and R. wichuriana ‘Basye's Thornless'(W)]. Perpetual blooming is absent both in a F1 population with 296 individuals and a BC1 W population(W as the backcross parent) with 150 individuals. However, the perpetual blooming trait showed a typical 3︰1 segregation in a backcross population BC1 OB with OB as the backcross parent. In this population with 300 individuals, 83 plants had the perpetual blooming phenotype while the other 217 featured non-perpetual blooming, indicating that the perpetual blooming trait is very likely controlled by two recessive genes in R. chinensis(rpb1 and rpb2). 4CoFe_2O_4-Graphene Nanocomposites Synthesized through An Ultrasonic Method with Enhanced Performances as Anode Materials for Li-ion Batteries显示文摘Co Fe2O4-graphene nanosheets(Co Fe2O4-GNSs) were synthesized through an ultrasonic method, and their electrochemical performances as Li-ion battery electrode were improved by annealing processes. The nanocomposites obtained at 350 °C maintained a high specific capacity of 1,257 m Ah g-1even after 200 cycles at 0.1 A g-1. Furthermore,the obtained materials also have better rate capability, and it can be maintained to 696, 495, 308, and 254 m Ah g-1at 1, 2,5, and 10 A g-1, respectively. 52D/2D Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4) S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst with enhanced visible-light activity by Au loading显示文摘A novel 2D/2D Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4) step-scheme(S-scheme)composite by loading Au as cocatalyst was successfully fabricated using a photoreduction and hydrothermal route.The obtained Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Au photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscope(TEM),X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy(XPS),UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra(UV–vis),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),photoluminescence(PL),photocurrent response(I-t),and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The HRTEM images revealed that an intimate interface in composites were formed.The optimum photocatalytic activity of Rhodamine B degradation over Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Au was about 9.7 times and 13.1 times as high as those of Bi_(2)MoO_(6) and g-C_(3)N_(4),respectively.The notably improved photocatalytic activity of Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Au could be mainly ascribed to the abundant active sites and the enhanced separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers in Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4) S-scheme system.Notably,Au nanoparticles could act as a co-catalyst to further promote electron transfer and separation from the conduction band of g-C_(3)N_(4).Additionally,a possible step-scheme photocatalytic reaction mechanism of Rh B degradation over Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Au was tentatively proposed.PL and transient photocurrent analysis implied that Bi_(2)MoO_(6)/g-C_(3)N_(4)/Au photocatalysts possessed the lower recombination rate of photogenerated carriers compared with pure Bi_(2) MoO_(6) and g-C_(3)N_(4),respectively.The present work is expected to provide useful information in designing 2D/2D S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts.Qiaoqiao Li Wenli Zhao Zicheng Zhai Kaixu Ren Tingyu Wang Hao Guan Haifeng Shi 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,56,21:4
6Unified Framework of Performing Chinese Word Segmentation and Part-of-Speech Tagging显示文摘The paper proposes a unified framework to combine the advantages of the fast one-at-a-time approach and the high-performance all-at-once approach to perform Chinese Word Segmentation(CWS) and Part-of-Speech(PoS) tagging.In this framework,the input of the PoS tagger is a candidate set of several CWS results provided by the CWS model.The widely used one-at-a-time approach and all-at-once approach are two extreme cases of the proposed candidate-based approaches.Experiments on Penn Chinese Treebank 5 and Tsinghua Chinese Treebank show that the generalized candidate-based approach outperforms one-at-a-time approach and even the all-at-once approach.The candidate-based approach is also faster than the time-consuming all-at-once approach.The authors compare three different methods based on sentence,words and character-intervals to generate the candidate set.It turns out that the word-based method has the best performance.Zhang Kaixu Sun Maosong 2012China Communications2012,9,3:3
7Cu2SnSe3/CNTs Composite as a Promising Anode Material for Sodium-ion Batteries显示文摘Metal selenides as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries have attracted considerable attention owing to their high theoretical specific capacities and variable composition and structures.However,the achievement of long cycle life and superior rate performance is challenging for these selenide materials due to the volume variation upon cycling.Herein,a composite composed of a new binary-metal selenide[Cu2SnSe3(CSS)]and carbon nanotubes(CNTs)was constructed via a hydrothermal process followed by calcination at 600℃.Benefited from the unique structure of binary-metal selenide and the conductive network of CNTs,the Cu2SnSe3/carbon nanotubes(CSS/CNT)composite exhibits excellent electrochemical performance when used as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries.A reversible specific capacity of 399 mA·h/g can be maintained at a current density of 100 mA/g even after 100 cycles.This work provides a promising strategy for rational design of binary-metal selenides upon delicate crystal phase control as electrode materials.ANG Zuojun WU Xueyan MA Chao HOU Chengcheng XU Shumao WEI Xiao WANG Kaixue CHEN Jiesheng 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,1:2
