1Enhanced gas separation performance of mixed matrix hollow fiber membranes containing post-functionalized S-MIL-53显示文摘Mixed matrix hollow fiber membranes(MMHFMs)filled with metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have great potential for energy-efficient gas separation processes,but the major hurdle is polymer/MOFs interfacial defects and membrane plasticization.Herein,lab-synthesized MIL-53 was post-functionalized by aminosilane grafting and subsequently incorporated into Ultem~?1000 polymer matrix to fabricate high performance MMHFMs.SEM,DLS,XRD and TGA were performed to characterize silane-modified MIL-53(S-MIL-53)and prepared MMHFMs.Moreover,the effect of MOFs loading was systematically investigated first;then gas separation performance of MMHFMs for pure and mixed gas was evaluated under different pressures.MMHFMs containing post-functionalized S-MIL-53 achieved remarkable gas permeation properties which was better than model predictions.Compared to pure HFMs,CO_2permeance of MMHFM loaded with 15%S-MIL-53 increased by 157%accompanying with 40%increase for CO_2/N_2selectivity,which outperformed the MMHFM filled with naked MIL-53.The pure and mixed gas permeation measurements with elevated feed pressure indicated that incorporation of S-MIL-53 also increased the resistance against CO_2plasticization.This work reveals that post-modified MOFs embedded in MMHFMs facilitate the improvement of gas separation performance and suppression of membrane plasticization.Haitao Zhu Xingming Jie Lina Wang Guodong Kang Dandan Liu Yiming Cao 2018Journal of Energy Chemistry2018,27,3:6
2Antagonism of Protease-Activated Receptor 4 Protects Against Traumatic Brain Injury by Suppressing Neuroinflammation via Inhibition of Tab2/NF-κB Signaling显示文摘Traumatic brain injury(TBI)triggers the activation of the endogenous coagulation mechanism,and a large amount of thrombin is released to curb uncontrollable bleeding through thrombin receptors,also known as protease-activated receptors(PARs).However,thrombin is one of the most critical factors in secondary brain injury.Thus,the PARs may be effective targets against hemorrhagic brain injury.Since the PAR1 antagonist has an increased bleeding risk in clinical practice,PAR4 blockade has been suggested as a more promising treatment.Here,we explored the expression pattern of PAR4 in the brain of mice after TBI,and explored the effect and possible mechanism of BMS-986120(BMS),a novel selective and reversible PAR4 antagonist on secondary brain injury.Treatment with BMS protected against TBI in mice.mRNA-seq analysis,Western blot,and qRT-PCR verification in vitro showed that BMS significantly inhibited thrombin-induced inflammation in astrocytes,and suggested that the Tab2/ERK/NF-κB signaling pathway plays a key role in this process.Our findings provide reliable evidence that blocking PAR4 is a safe and effective intervention for TBI,and suggest that BMS has a potential clinical application in the management of TBI.Jianing Luo Xun Wu Haixiao Liu Wenxing Cui Wei Guo Kang Guo Hao Guo Kai Tao Fei Li Yingwu Shi Dayun Feng Hao Yan Guodong Gao Yan Qu 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,2:5
3An improved theoretical procedure for the pore-size analysis of activated carbon by gas adsorption显示文摘Amorphous carbon materials play a vital role in adsorbed natural gas(ANG) storage. One of the key issues in the more prevalent use of ANG is the limited adsorption capacity, which is primarily determined by the porosity and surface characteristics of porous materials. To identify suitable adsorbents, we need a reliable computational tool for pore characterization and, subsequently, quantitative prediction of the adsorption behavior. Within the framework of adsorption integral equation(AIE), the pore-size distribution(PSD) is sensitive to the adopted theoretical models and numerical algorithms through isotherm fitting. In recent years, the classical density functional theory(DFT) has emerged as a common choice to describe adsorption isotherms for AIE kernel construction. However,rarely considered is the accuracy of the mean-field approximation(MFA) commonly used in commercial software. In this work, we calibrate four versions of DFT methods with grand canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC) molecular simulation for the adsorption of CH_4 and CO_2 gas in slit pores at 298 K with the pore width varying from 0.65 to 5.00 nm and pressure from 0.2 to 2.0 MPa. It is found that a weighted-density approximation proposed by Yu(WDA-Yu) is more accurate than MFA and other non-local DFT methods. In combination with the trapezoid discretization of AIE, the WDA-Yu method provides a faithful representation of experimental data, with the accuracy and stability improved by 90.0% and 91.2%, respectively, in comparison with the corresponding results from MFA for fitting CO_2 isotherms. In particular, those distributions in the feature pore width range(FPWR)are proved more representative for the pore-size analysis. 4Primary Studies on the Microbial Fermentation of 10-Hydroxy-2-Decenoic Acid By Candida BH002显示文摘Fermentation technology of Candida BH002, a 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid producing microorganism, was primarilystudied in this paper. Results showed that the optimum medium for the batch-fed fermentation was: sucrose 4%, ammoniumsulfate 0.3%, peptone 0.1%, beef extract 0.1%, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate 0.2%, royal jelly 0.5%, magnesium sulfate0.05%, ferrous sulfate 0.001% and CoCl2 0.001% and pH 7.0. The optimum initial pH value, dissoluble oxygen and reducingsugar concentration were 7.0, 25ml/250ml and 7.0% respectively. 6Regulation of the stability and ABA import activity of NRT1.2/NPF4.6 by CEPR2-mediated phosphorylation in Arabidopsis显示文摘Abscisic acid(ABA)transport plays an important role in systemic plant responses to environmental factors.However,it remains largely unclear about the precise regulation of ABA transporters in plants.In this study,we show that the C-terminally encoded peptide receptor 2(CEPR2)directly interacts with the ABA transporter NRT1.2/NPF4.6.Genetic and phenotypic analyses revealed that NRT1.2/NPF4.6 positively regulates ABA response and that NRT1.2/NPF4.6 is epistatically and negatively regulated by CEPR2.Further biochemical assays demonstrated that CEPR2 phosphorylates NRT1.2/NPF4.6 at serine 292 to promote its degradation under normal conditions.However,ABA treatment and non-phosphorylation at serine 292 prevented the degradation of NRT1.2/NPF4.6,indicating that ABA inhibits the phosphorylation of this residue.Transport assays in yeast and Xenopus oocytes revealed that non-phosphorylated NRT1.2/NPF4.6 had high levels of ABA import activity,whereas phosphorylated NRT1.2/NPF4.6 did not import ABA.Analyses of complemented nrt1.2 mutants that mimicked non-phosphorylated and phosphorylated NRT1.2/NPF4.6 confirmed that non-phosphorylated NRT1.2S292A had high stability and ABA import activity in planta.Additional experiments showed that NRT1.2/NPF4.6 was degraded via the 26S proteasome and vacuolar degradation pathways.Furthermore,we found that three E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes,UBC32,UBC33,and UBC34,interact with NRT1.2/NPF4.6 in the endoplasmic reticulum and mediate its ubiquitination.NRT1.2/NPF4.6 is epistatically and negatively regulated by UBC32,UBC33,and UBC34 inplanta.Taken together,these results suggest that the stability and ABA import activity of NRT1.2/NPF4.6 are precisely regulated by its phosphorylation and degradation in response to environmental stress.Lei Zhang Zipeng Yu Yang Xu Miao Yu Yue Ren Shizhong Zhang Guodong Yang Jinguang Huang Kang Yan Chengchao Zheng Changai Wu 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,4:2

16Coordination Effect-Promoted Durable Ni(OH)_(2) for Energy-Saving Hydrogen Evolution from Water/ Methanol Co-Electrocatalysis显示文摘Electrocatalytic water splitting is a viable technique for generating hydrogen but is precluded from the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reactions(OER).Small molecule oxidation reactions with lower working potentials,such as methanol oxidation reactions,are good alternatives to OER with faster kinetics.However,the typically employed Ni-based electrocatalysts have poor activity and stability.Herein,a novel three-dimensional(3D)-networking Modoped Ni(OH)_(2) with ultralow Ni-Ni coordination is synthesized,which exhibits a high MOR activity of 100 mA cm^(−2) at 1.39 V,delivering 28 mV dec^(−1) for the Tafel slope.Meanwhile,hydrogen evolution with value-added formate co-generation is boosted with a current density of more than 500 mA cm^(−2) at a cell voltage of 2.00 V for 50 h,showing excellent stability in an industrial alkaline concentration(6 M KOH).Mechanistic studies based on density functional the-ory and X-ray absorption spectroscopy showed that the improved performance is mainly attributed to the ultralow Ni-Ni coordination,3D-networking structures and Mo dopants,which improve the catalytic activity,increase the active site density and strengthen the Ni(OH)_(2)3D-networking structures,respectively.This study paves a new way for designing electrocatalysts with enhanced activity and durability for industrial energy-saving hydrogen production.Guodong Fu Xiaomin Kang Yan Zhang Xiaoqiang Yang Lei Wang Xian-Zhu Fu Jiujun Zhang Jing-Li Luo Jianwen Liu 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:1
