2Falls from height: A retrospective analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Emergency services manage trauma patients frequently and falls from height comprise the main cause of emergency service admissions. In this study, we aimed to analyse the demographic characteristics of falls from height and their relationship to the mortality.METHODS: A total of 460 patients, who admitted to the Emergency Department of Inonu University between November 2011 and November 2014 with a history of fall from height, were examined retrospectively. Demographic parameters, fall characteristics and their effect to mortality were evaluated statistically. RESULTS: The study comprised of 292(63.5%) men and 168(36.5%) women patients. The mean age of all patients was 27±24.99 years. Twenty-six(5.6%) patients died and the majority of them were in ≥62 years old group. The highest percentage of falls was at 0–5 years age group(28.3%). People fell mainly from 1.1–4 metres(m) level(46.1%). The causes of falls were ordered as unintentional(92.2%), workplace(8.1%) and suicidal(1.7%). Skin and soft tissue injuries(37.4%) were the main traumatic lesions. CONCLUSION: Age, fall height, fall place, linear skull fracture, subarachnoidal hemorrhage, cervical fracture, thoracic vertebra fracture and trauma scores had statistically significant effect on mortality. 3Yellowing of fresh-cut spinach(Spinacia oleracea L.)leaves delayed by UV-B applications显示文摘In present work,the effects of UV-B treatments on quality of fresh-cut spinach leaves were studied.For this purpose,spinach leaves grown in glasshouse were harvest,cleaned and placed into polystyrene foam dishes and wrapped by stretch film.After packaging,freshcut spinach leaves were treated with UV-B irradiation and were stored at 5℃ temperature for 12 days.Total soluble solids,visual quality,L^*a^*b^* values,and also hue angle values of samples were determined during storage.Total soluble solids content of samples in control group has been higher than those from samples in UV-B treatments,however,visual quality was lower than the other treatments.According to L*values of the samples,it is found that lower ultraviolet irratiation(UV-B)treatments caused yellowing of samples,and also same result was obtained by b^* and a^* values of fresh-cut spinach leaves.Similarly,hue angles values of samples treated with UV-B for 6min was higher compared with the other treatments.Consequently,yellowing of fresh-cut spinach leaves was decreased,and visual quality scores of samples was increased through ultraviolet irradiation treatments.M.Ufuk Kasim Rezzan Kasim 2017Information Processing in Agriculture2017,4,3:4
4Bi-metallic catalysts of mesoporous Al_2O_3 supported on Fe, Ni and Mn for methane decomposition: Effect of activation temperature显示文摘Methane decomposition reaction has been studied at three different activation temperatures(500°C,800°C and950°C)over mesoporous alumina supported Ni–Fe and Mn–Fe based bimetallic catalysts.On co-impregnation of Ni on Fe/Al_2O_3the activity of the catalyst was retained even at the high activation temperature at 950°C and up to180 min.The Ni promotion enhanced the reducibility of Fe/Al_2O_3oxides showing higher catalytic activity with a hydrogen yield of 69%.The reactivity of bimetallic Mn and Fe over Al_2O_3catalyst decreased at 800°C and 950°C activation temperatures.Regeneration studies revealed that the catalyst could be effectively recycled up to 9times.The addition of O_2(1 ml,2 ml,4 ml)in the feed enhanced substantially CH_4conversion,the yield of hydrogen and the stability of the catalyst.Anis H.Fakeeha Ahmed S.Al-Fatesh Biswajit Chowdhury Ahmed A.Ibrahim Wasim U.Khan Shahid Hassan Kasim Sasudeen Ahmed Elhag Abasaeed 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,9:3
5Role of the CXCR4-SDF1-HMGB1 pathway in the directional migration of cells and regeneration of affected organs显示文摘In recent years,several studies have reported positive outcomes of cell-based therapies despite insufficient engraftment of transplanted cells.These findings have created a huge interest in the regenerative potential of paracrine factors released from transplanted stem or progenitor cells.Interestingly,this notion has also led scientists to question the role of proteins in the secretome produced by cells,tissues or organisms under certain conditions or at a particular time of regenerative therapy.Further studies have revealed that the secretomes derived from different cell types contain paracrine factors that could help to prevent apoptosis and induce proliferation of cells residing within the tissues of affected organs.This could also facilitate the migration of immune,progenitor and stem cells within the body to the site of inflammation.Of these different paracrine factors present within the secretome,researchers have given proper consideration to stromal cell-derived factor-1(SDF1)that plays a vital role in tissue-specific migration of the cells needed for regeneration.Recently researchers recognized that SDF1 could facilitate site-specific migration of cells by regulating SDF1-CXCR4 and/or HMGB1-SDF1-CXCR4 pathways which is vital for tissue regeneration.Hence in this study,we have attempted to describe the role of different types of cells within the body in facilitating regeneration while emphasizing the HMGB1-SDF1-CXCR4 pathway that orchestrates the migration of cells to the site where regeneration is needed.Nazmul Haque Ismail M Fareez Liew Fong Fong Chanchal Mandal Noor Hayaty Abu Kasim Kranthi RajaKacharaju Pratiwi Soesilawati 2020World Journal of Stem Cells2020,12,9:3

7有机氮肥对马来西亚沙捞越州酸性土壤玉米干物质产量及铵态氮和硝态氮含量的影响显示文摘腐殖质中的腐植酸和黄腐酸可以提高土壤中可交换性铵(NH4+)的回收率。这两种酸固定和保持NH4+的能力已经在许多研究中得到了证实,二者通过提高植株的光合作用速率、促进根系发育影响植物的生长和养分吸收。因此,本研究调查了这两种酸(液态)对玉米干物质产量、土壤铵态氮和硝态氮(NO3-)含量的影响。根据液态有机氮肥的组成,采用标准方法分离提纯腐植酸。有机氮肥在玉米种植后第10天、第28天分别施入盆栽土壤,然后在种植后第54天或孕穗期采集植株和土壤样品。土壤样品分析pH、铵态氮和硝态氮含量,植株样品测定干物质产量。结果表明,在酸性条件下,液态有机氮肥(黄腐酸、腐植酸或二者同时施用)的施用可以提高土壤中NH4+的累积量。随土壤活性碳储量的增加,腐植酸分子上羧基官能团对土壤NH4+的吸附能力增强。然而,酸含量较低时对干物质产量的影响明显减小。各处理间硝态氮的有效性没有达到统计上的差异显著水平。较低的pH值能抑制土壤硝化作用进程,同时降低土壤NO3-含量。这表明液态腐植酸和/或黄腐酸在提高尿素利用效率方面发挥着重要作用。然而,与腐植酸分子特性有关的作用机理还需要进一步详细研究。本研究为液态和叶面有机肥料的发展提供一定的依据。Susilawati Kasim Osumanu Haruna Ahmed Nik Muhamad Ab.Majid Mohd Khanif Yusop Mohamadu Boyie Jalloh 王艳群 孙志梅 2011腐植酸2011,,2:2
8低氧应激因子PHD2与血管新生相关疾病显示文摘PHDs家族是低氧应激的重要调控因子,通过调控低氧诱导因子HIFs的稳定性和活性,使细胞和组织适应低氧应激环境。其中,PHD2作为PHDs家族中的重要一员,是低氧诱导因子HIF-1的关键调控因子。近年研究表明,PHD2不仅在缺血性疾病的血管新生中起重要作用,还能通过调控肿瘤生长、转移等相关基因的表达,影响肿瘤微环境下肿瘤的生长及转移。本文就PHD2的分子调控机制及其在生理病理过程中的作用机制进行综述,重点介绍PHD2在血管再生治疗和肿瘤血管新生中的作用,以及目前PHD2作为治疗靶标的开发应用研究。贾慧珍 2014药学学报2014,49,2:2

10Effect of deep transverse friction massage vs stretching on football players’ performance显示文摘BACKGROUND Flexibility,agility and muscle strength are key factors to either win or lose a game.Recently the effect of a new technique,deep transverse friction massage(DTFM)on muscle extensibility as compared to traditional stretching techniques has been examined.AIM To compare the effect of DTFM vs static and dynamic stretching techniques on the hamstring’s extensibility,agility,and strength amongst Lebanese and Syrian football players.Recording the incidence of non-contact hamstring muscle injury was a secondary objective.METHODS This study is a single-blinded prospective longitudinal randomized controlled trial.The experiment took place over a period of four weeks.Football players were randomized into three intervention groups(static stretching;dynamic stretching;DTFM).Participants of each group were followed-up carefully by assessors during their intervention sessions three times per week,for a total of 12 sessions and during the data collection.Extensibility,agility,and strength were compared between intervention groups at(baseline;acute;and chronic)phases.Straight leg raise and 1 repetition maximum tests were used to measure the dominant leg hamstring muscle extensibility and maximal strength respectively.T-drill test was used to assess the lower extremities agility.RESULTS Of 103 Lebanese and Syrian male football players aged between 18 and 35 were sampled from Damascus-Syria and South of Lebanon to participate in this study.Between-groups measures of acute strength(P=0.011)and chronic extensibility(P=0.000)solely showed a significant difference,and the static group showed to be superior as compared to the other groups.No loss to follow-up or protocol violation was recorded.CONCLUSION Static stretching is showing to be superior to the other techniques used,regarding gaining long-term extensibility and short-term maximal muscle strength.In addition,DTFM showed improvements but did not outweigh the effects on footballers’performance when comparing it to static and dynamic techniques.Finally,no difference between the interventions is recorded regarding the rate of muscle injuries incidence.Mohammed Ali Fakhro Hussein Chahine Hassan Srour Kasim Hijazi 2020World Journal of Orthopedics2020,11,1:2
