1Predicting delay to treatment of urinary incontinence among urban community-dwelling women in China显示文摘Purpose:To determine the effect of socioeconomic factors and variables related to delay to treatment on Chinese women with urinary incontinence(UI).Methods:We conducted a cross-sectional survey involving 346 incontinent women living in three urban communities.We enrolled a representative subsample of 196 women who sought treatment for UI within the next six months in the study.Socioeconomic and clinical characteristic data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire and the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Urinary Incontinence Short Form.Results:Of the 196 women(age[mean and standard deviation]51.58±7.91 years),the delay ranged 1e15 years;64 women(32.7%)reported a>3-year delay.Age(odds ratio[OR]=1.98,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.31-3.00),lower UI severity(subjective)(OR=2.32,95%CI:1.38-3.87),and non-mixed UI(stress or urgency UI alone,OR?1.60,95%CI:1.11-2.32)were risk factors for longer delay.Conclusion:Women who were older,had lower subjective UI severity,and who reported only stress or urgency UI tended to delay treatment longer;such patients should be targeted for health education and intervention regarding UI in urban communities.Chen Wu Tao Sun Xiaomeng Guan Kefang Wang 2015International Journal of Nursing Sciences2015,2,1:0
2cFos-ANAB:A cFos-based Web Tool for Exploring Activated Neurons and Associated Behaviors显示文摘cFos is one of the most widely-studied genes in the field of neuroscience.Currently,there is no systematic database focusing on cFos in neuroscience.We developed a curated database-cFos-ANAB-a cFos-based web tool for exploring activated neurons and associated behaviors in rats and mice,comprising 398 brain nuclei and sub-nuclei,and five associated behaviors:pain,fear,feeding,aggression,and sexual behavior.Direct relationships among behaviors and nuclei(even cell types)under specific stimulating conditions were constructed based on cFos expression profiles extracted from original publications.Moreover,overlapping nuclei and sub-nuclei with potentially complex functions among different associated behaviors were emphasized,leading to results serving as important clues to the development of valid hypotheses for exploring as yet unknown circuits.Using the analysis function of cFos-ANAB,multi-layered pictures of networks and their relationships can quickly be explored depending on users’purposes.These features provide a useful tool and good reference for early exploration in neuroscience.The cFos-ANAB database is available at www.cfos-db.net.Fan Wang Wenjie Sun Lei Chang Kefang Sun Leying Hou Linna Qian Chaoyin Jin Jiandong Chen Jiali Pu Panmeng Ye Shuang Qiu Jianhong Luo Shumin Duan Baorong Zhang Zhihua Gao Xiaojun Hu 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,10:0
3Crystal structure of the African swine fever virus core shell protein p15显示文摘African swine fever virus(ASFV)is the causative agent of African swine fever,a highly fatal hemorrhagic disease of pigs,which has resulted in great economic losses to the global pork industry,especially in Asia.ASFV particles are comprised ofmultiple layers encompassing the genomic DNA.Though the capsid structure has been determined,very little is known about the structure of the core shell.The precursor polyprotein pp62 is the structural component of the core shell that gives rise to the p35 and p15 proteins.Herein,we describe the crystal structure of p15 at a resolution of 2.2Å.The structure of p15 exhibits as a trimeric conformation that is mainly mediated by intermolecular disulfide bonds and supported bymultiple hydrogen bond interactions.The button conformation on the surface of adjacentmolecules may also play a role in trimeric formation of the ASFV p15.The center of the p15 trimer exhibits opposite electrostatic characteristics on each side.These findings benefit our understanding of ASFV core shell assembly and will aid in the design of antiviral drugs and vaccines.Kefang Liu Yumin Meng Yan Chai Linjie Li Huan Sun George F.Gao Shuguang Tan Jianxun Qi 2021Biosafety and Health2021,3,2:0
