1Vertical motions of tide gauge stations near the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea显示文摘A modified Gauss-Markov model with weighted constraints was constructed by combining satellite altimeter and tide gauge records. Vertical motion rates of nine tide gauge stations around the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea are estimated. This is the first time systematic estimates have been derived in this region. Downward trends were seen at the six tide gauge stations located at Tanggu, Longkou, Laohutan, Bayuquan, Xiaochangshan, and Yantai; with vertical motion rates of-1.82±0.50,-1.65±0.46,-0.88±0.42,-0.58±0.62,-0.13±0.43, and-0.01±0.43 mm/yr, respectively. Upward trends were seen at the three tide gauge stations located at Qinhuangdao, Huludao and Chengshantou; with vertical motion rates of 1.12±0.46, 0.55±0.49 and 0.26±0.44 mm/yr, respectively. There was significant subsidence in Tanggu and Longkou, and a rising trend in Qinhuangdao. According to our results, the rate of sea level rise calculated from these tide gauge records can be improved using a more accurate measurement of the land elevation accounting for lifting or subsidence. 2Causes of seasonal sea level anomalies in the coastal region of the East China Sea显示文摘Based on the analysis of sea level, air temperature, sea surface temperature(SST), air pressure and wind data during 1980–2013, the causes of seasonal sea level anomalies in the coastal region of the East China Sea(ECS) are investigated. The research results show:(1) sea level along the coastal region of the ECS takes on strong seasonal variation. The annual range is 30–45 cm, larger in the north than in the south. From north to south, the phase of sea level changes from 140° to 231°, with a difference of nearly 3 months.(2) Monthly mean sea level(MSL)anomalies often occur from August to next February along the coast region of the ECS. The number of sea level anomalies is at most from January to February and from August to October, showing a growing trend in recent years.(3) Anomalous wind field is an important factor to affect the sea level variation in the coastal region of the ECS. Monthly MSL anomaly is closely related to wind field anomaly and air pressure field anomaly. Wind-driven current is essentially consistent with sea surface height. In August 2012, the sea surface heights at the coastal stations driven by wind field have contributed 50%–80% of MSL anomalies.(4) The annual variations for sea level,SST and air temperature along the coastal region of the ECS are mainly caused by solar radiation with a period of12 months. But the correlation coefficients of sea level anomalies with SST anomalies and air temperature anomalies are all less than 0.1.(5) Seasonal sea level variations contain the long-term trends and all kinds of periodic changes. Sea level oscillations vary in different seasons in the coastal region of the ECS. In winter and spring, the oscillation of 4–7 a related to El Ni?o is stronger and its amplitude exceeds 2 cm. In summer and autumn, the oscillations of 2–3 a and quasi 9 a are most significant, and their amplitudes also exceed 2 cm. The height of sea level is lifted up when the different oscillations superposed. 3High sensitivity SPR sensor for liquid phase sample with Ag/PbS/Graphene hybrid nanostructure显示文摘A surface plasmon resonance(SPR)sensor with Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure has been proposed for the diagnostics of liquid phase samples.Here Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure is designed as an asymmetric MIM waveguide for surface plasmon.Due to the guided wave SPR(GWSPR)modes,the index of the liquid phase samples can be measured more accurately than the conventional SPR sensors.Numerical simulation results show that the sensitivity of the sensor is about 5 times higher than the conventional SPR sensors.The origin of the enhancement mechanism is the combination of GWSPR in the Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure which enables the surface plasmon to spread along the PbS layer.In Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure,the electric field is concentrated mostly in the PbS layer,and the enhancement of the field intensity is nearly30%.Kexiu Dong Yanping Ji Jiajia Mi Xiaotong Zhao Bin Wu Wangxia Huang Jianping Shi 2017光电工程2017,44,2:2

5AlGaN solar‐blind APD with low breakdown voltage显示文摘A p-i-i-n type AlG a N heterostructure avalanche photodiodes(APDs)is proposed to decrease the avalanche breakdown voltage and to realize higher gain by using high-Al-content AlG aN layer as multiplication layer and low-Al-content AlG aN layer as absorption layer.The calculated results show that the designed APD can significantly reduce the breakdown voltage by almost 30%,and about sevenfold increase of maximum gain compared to the conventional Al GaN APD.The noise in designed APD is also less than that in conventional APD due to its low dark current at the breakdown voltage point.Moreover,the one-dimensional(1D)dual-periodic photonic crystal(PC)with anti-reflection coating filter is designed to achieve the solar-blind characteristic and cutoff wavelength of 282 nm is obtained.Kexiu Dong Dunjun Chen Yangyi Zhang Yizhe Sun Jianping Shi 2017光电工程2017,44,4:1

8Characteristics and possible causes of the seasonal sea level anomaly along the South China Sea coast显示文摘Based on sea level, air temperature, sea surface temperature(SST), air pressure and wind data during 1980–2014,this paper uses Morlet wavelet transform, Estuarine Coastal Ocean Model(ECOM) and so on to investigate the characteristics and possible causes of seasonal sea level anomalies along the South China Sea(SCS) coast. The research results show that:(1) Seasonal sea level anomalies often occur from January to February and from June to October. The frequency of sea level anomalies is the most in August, showing a growing trend in recent years. In addition, the occurring frequency of negative sea level anomaly accounts for 50% of the total abnormal number.(2) The seasonal sea level anomalies are closely related to ENSO events. The negative anomalies always occurred during the El Ni?o events, while the positive anomalies occurred during the La Ni?a(late El Ni?o) events. In addition, the seasonal sea level oscillation periods of 4–7 a associated with ENSO are the strongest in winter, with the amplitude over 2 cm.(3) Abnormal wind is an important factor to affect the seasonal sea level anomalies in the coastal region of the SCS. Wind-driven sea level height(SSH) is basically consistent with the seasonal sea level anomalies. 13A multi-scale high-order recursive filter approach for the sea ice concentration analysis显示文摘With the development and deployment of observation systems in the ocean,more precise passive and active microwave data are becoming available for the weather forecasting and the climate monitoring.Due to the complicated variability of the sea ice concentration(SIC)in the marginal ice zone and the scarcity of high-precision sea ice data,how to use less data to accurately reconstruct the sea ice field has become an urgent problem to be solved.A reconstruction method for gridding observations using the variational optimization technique,called the multi-scale high-order recursive filter(MHRF),which is a combination of Van Vliet fourth-order recursive filter and the three-dimensional variational(3D-VAR)analysis,has been designed in this study to reproduce the refined structure of sea ice field.Compared with the existing spatial multi-scale first-order recursive filter(SMRF)in which left and right filter iterative processes are executed many times,the MHRF scheme only executes the same filter process once to reduce the analysis errors caused by multiple filters and improve the filter precision.Furthermore,the series connected transfer function in the high-order recursive filter is equivalently replaced by the paralleled one,which can carry out the independent filter process in every direction in order to improve the filter efficiency.Experimental results demonstrate that this method possesses a good potential in extracting the observation information to successfully reconstruct the SIC field in computational efficiency.Lu Yang Dong Li Xuefeng Zhang Hongli Fu Kexiu Liu 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,2:1

15Climate change and China's coastal zones and seas:Impacts,risks,and adaptation显示文摘This article provides an assessment of the changes in marine climate drivers(hazards),associated impacts,risks,and adaptation to the coastal China zones and seas since the mid 20th century.The results show that:①Marine climate drivers,such as ocean warming,sea level rise,typhoon,storm surges and marine heat waves(MHWs),have increased significantly in strength,frequency and range over the past decades.②Ocean warming has caused substantial changes in marine phenology,species composition,geographical distribution,and frequent occurrences of ecological disasters such as red tides,green tides,and macro-jellyfish outbreaks,while MHWs have induced degradation in tropical coral reefs and major losses in the marine aquaculture industry in the coastal China seas.③Sea level rise threatens the typical habitats of coastal wetlands such as mangrove and estuaries,and exacerbates coastal erosion,seawater intrusion and the impacts of typhoon,storm surges on the coastal flood disasters.④Human activities,such as large-scale reclamation,pollutant discharge,and overfishing,have increased the exposure and vulnerability of China's marine and coastal ecosystems,leading to the low-aging and miniaturization of fishery types,decline of offshore fishery resources,reduction of coastal wetland areas,and degradation of biodiversity and ecosystem stability.⑤Under different climate scenarios such as low and high greenhouse gases emission scenario(RCP 2.6 and 8.5),as the warming and sea level rise in the coastal China seas continue,extreme sea level(ESL)events will occur more frequently,e.g.,by the end of this century,the current once per century ESL events will become annually or even annually less(RCP 8.5)in many coastal areas,such as at Lvsi and Xiamen tidal gauge stations;and the ESL events could pose serious risks on the coastal areas.Finally,the article further discusses the adaptation measures and related uncertain issues to address climate change in the coastal China zones and seas,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions in order to reduce its negative impacts on the sustainable development of human community.Rongshuo Cai Kexiu Liu Hongjian Tan Xiuhua Yan 2021Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2021,19,4:0
16A New Multigrid 3D-VAR Optimization Method for Bottom Friction Using HF Radar Current Observation显示文摘This paper proposes a new method for data assimilation of the surface radial current observed by High Frequency ground wave radar and optimization of the bottom friction coefficient.In this method,the shallow water wave equation is introduced into the cost function of the multigrid three-dimensional variation data assimilation method as the weak constraint term,the surface current and the bottom friction coefficient are defined as the analytical variables,and the high spatiotemporal resolution surface radial flow observed by the high-frequency ground wave radar is used to optimize the surface current and bottom friction coefficient.This method can effectively consider the spatiotemporal correlation of radar data and extract multiscale information from surface radial flow data from long waves to short waves.Introducing the shallow water wave equation into the cost function as a weak constraint condition can adjust both the momentum and mass fields simultaneously to obtain more reasonable analysis information.The optimized bottom friction coefficient is introduced into the regional ocean numerical model to carry out numerical experiments.The test results show that the bottom friction coefficient obtained by this method can effectively improve the accuracy of the numerical simulation of sea surface height in the offshore area and reduce the simulation error.ZHANG Xiaoshuang WU Xinrong LI Wei WANG Bin ZHU Xiande LIU Kexiu SHAO Caixia SUN Chunjian CHAO Guofang ZHANG Tiecheng 2019Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,6:0
17Characteristics and possible causes of sea level anomalies in the Xisha sea area显示文摘Based on the analysis of wind,ocean currents,sea surface temperature(SST) and remote sensing satellite altimeter data,the characteristics and possible causes of sea level anomalies in the Xisha sea area are investigated.The main results are shown as follows:(1) Since 1993,the sea level in the Xisha sea area was obviously higher than normal in 1998,2001,2008,2010 and 2013.Especially,the sea level in 1998 and 2010 was abnormally high,and the sea level in 2010 was 13.2 cm higher than the muti-year mean,which was the highest in the history.In 2010,the sea level in the Xisha sea area had risen 43 cm from June to August,with the strength twice the annual variation range.(2) The sea level in the Xisha sea area was not only affected by the tidal force of the celestial bodies,but also closely related to the quasi 2 a periodic oscillation of tropical western Pacific monsoon and ENSO events.(3)There was a significant negative correlation between sea level in the Xisha sea area and ENSO events.The high sea level anomaly all happened during the developing phase of La Ni?a.They also show significant negative correlations with Ni?o 4 and Ni?o 3.4 indices,and the lag correlation coefficients for 2 months and 3 months are–0.46 and –0.45,respectively.(4) During the early La Ni?a event form June to November in 2010,the anomalous wind field was cyclonic.A strong clockwise vortex was formed for the current in 25 m layer in the Xisha sea area,and the velocity of the current is close to the speed of the Kuroshio near the Luzon Strait.In normal years,there is a 'cool eddy'.While in 2010,from July to August,the SST in the area was 2–3°C higher than that of the same period in the history.WANG Hui HAN Shuzong FAN Wenjing WANG Guosong LIU Kexiu ZHANG Zengjian 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,9:0
