1Kinetics of chemical leaching of chalcopyrite from low grade copper ore: behavior of different size fractions显示文摘The kinetics of the chemical leaching of copper from low grade ore in ferric sulfate media was investigated using the constrained least square optimization technique. The experiments were carried out for different particle sizes in both the reactor and column at constant oxidation-reduction potential (Eh), pH values, and temperature. The main copper mineral was chalcopyrite. About 40% of Cu recovery is obtained after 7 d of reactor leaching at 85℃ using -0.5 mm size fraction, while the same recovery is obtained at 75℃ after 24 d. Also, about 23% of Cu recovery is obtained after 60 d of column leaching for +4--8 mm size fraction whereas the Cu recovery is as low as about 15% for +8--12.7 and +12.7--25 mm size fractions. A 4-stage model for chalcopyrite dissolution was used to explain the observed dissolution behaviors. The results show that thick over-layers of sulphur components cause the parabolic behavior of chalcopyrite dissolution and the precipitation of Fe3+ plays the main role in chalcopyrite passivation. In the case of coarse particles, transformation from one stage to another takes a longer time, thus only two stages including the initial reaction on fresh surfaces and S0 deposition are observed.H. 2Estimation of diameter and surface area flux of bubbles based on operational gas dispersion parameters by using regression and ANFIS显示文摘Adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) procedure and regression methods were used to predict the Sauter mean bubble (bubble diameter) and surface area flux of the bubble in a flotation process. The operational conditions of flotation, impeller peripheral speed, superficial gas velocity, and weight percent solids were used as inputs of methods. By using the mentioned operational conditions, the non linear regression results showed that Sauter mean, and surface area flux of the bubble are predictable variables, where the coefficients of determination (R 2 ) are 0.57 and 0.74, respectively. To increase the accuracy of prediction an ANFIS model with cluster radius of 0.4 was applied. ANFIS model was capable of estimating both Sauter mean, and surface area flux of the bubble, where in a testing stage, satisfactory correlations, R 2 = 0.78, and 0.86, were achieved for Sauter mean, and surface area flux of bubble, respectively. 19Solvent extraction of rubidium from gold waste using conventional SX and new CFE methods显示文摘Solvent extraction(SX) of rubidium(Rb) from leaching filtrate of gold waste(GW) in Mouteh Processing Plant by 18-crown-6(18C6) was studied. High potential of new column flotoextraction(CFE) method in extraction of Rb from dilute solutions was also demonstrated. First, the factors affecting SX of Rb from a synthetic rubidium sulfate solution(containing 100 mg·L^(-1)Rb) were identified.0.05 mol·L^(-1)18C6 in kerosene, 0.02 mol·L^(-1) picric acid in aqueous phase, aqueous to organic(A/O) ratio of 1, p H7 and mixing time of 15 min are the optimum values for affective factors. The three-stage precipitation with sodium carbonate, p H adjustment with sulfuric acid and two-stage evaporation and crystallization were conducted to purify the leaching from impurities such as Fe, Al, Mn, Ca and especially competing cations of K and Na. Almost complete extraction of Rb and K from final filtrate containing 0.08 mol·L^(-1)picric acid was performed using 0.2 mol·L^(-1)18C6 in kerosene. The Rb and K strippings of 99.12 % and 9.93 %, respectively, are obtained with 2 mol·L^(-1)nitric acid with A/O ratio of 2.
