1Performance analysis for range expansion in heterogeneous networks显示文摘In this paper,the uplink and downlink performance of a two tier heterogeneous network(HetNet)with range expansion(RE)is analyzed.Different from previous works,base stations(BSs)are modeled as a spatial Poisson point process.This model can not only capture the irregularity of the BS deployment but also lead to closed form expressions.With the analytical results,the impacts of several key parameters on the coverage and throughput performance are investigated.Our results justifies the effectiveness of RE and Pico deployment.Based on our analyses,certain attention should be made on the RE design to balance the uplink and downlink performance.Our analyses are corroborated by simulations and can thus serve as a flexible and quick guidance for system design without complicated and time consuming system level platform construction and simulation.FEI ZeSong DING HaiChuan XING ChengWen NI JiQing KUANG JingMing 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,8:11
2Ergodic secrecy rate of two-user MISO interference channels with statistical CSI显示文摘This paper considers a two-user multiple-input single-output(MISO) interference channel with confidential messages(IFC-CM), where the beamforming vectors at the two transmitters are jointly optimized using the closed-form Pareto-optimal parameterization. We prove that artificial noise cannot improve the secrecy rate performance, and coordinated beamforming is secrecy-rate optimal which is achieved by agreeing on the parameters between the two transmitters. We analyze the feasible set of the beamforming parameters that guarantees positiveness of the secrecy rates when the transmitters know only statistical CSI, and then analysis in the ergodic secrecy rate region is discussed. 3Power allocation for OFDM-based cognitive heterogeneous networks显示文摘In this paper,the capacity maximization and the spectrum utilization efficiency improvement are investigated for the Pico cells in broadband heterogeneous networks.In frequency-reuse model,the users attached to Macro base station are usually viewed as primary users,and those attached to Pico base station should be regarded as cognitive radio(CR) users.As both the primary users and the CR users communicate in parallel frequency bands,the performance of the system is limited by the mutual inter-carrier interference(ICI).In order to control ICI and maximize the achievable transmission rate of the CR users,an effective power allocation scheme is proposed to maximize the transmission rate of the CR users under a given interference threshold prescribed by the primary users.By transforming this suboptimal solution into an innovative matrix expression,the algorithm is easier to perform in practice.The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides a large performance gain in Pico cell capacity over the non-cooperative and equal power allocation schemes.FEI ZeSong XING ChengWen LI Na HAN YanTao DANEV Danyo KUANG JingMing 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,4:5
4Statistically robust resource allocation for distributed multi-carrier cooperative networks显示文摘In this paper, we investigate joint subcarrier and power allocation scheme for distributed multicarrier cooperative networks with imperfect channel state information. Using practical channel estimation algorithms, the statistic model of the channel estimation error is first derived. Then based on the channel error model, the resource allocation scheme aims at maximizing the sum rate of the overall network. Specifically, both subcarrier allocation and power allocation are taken into account. In the subcarrier allocation, a realistic problem of the power leakage between neighboring subcarriers is also addressed. Furthermore, based on Lagrange dual-decomposition algorithm, a practical power allocation algorithm is proposed. 5Resource Allocation for Physical Layer Security in Heterogeneous Network with Hidden Eavesdropper显示文摘The tremendous performance gain of heterogeneous networks(Het Nets) is at the cost of complicated resource allocation. Considering information security, the resource allocation for Het Nets becomes much more challenging and this is the focus of this paper. In this paper, the eavesdropper is hidden from the macro base stations. To relax the unpractical assumption on the channel state information on eavesdropper, a localization based algorithm is first given. Then a joint resource allocation algorithm is proposed in our work, which simultaneously considers physical layer security, cross-tier interference and joint optimization of power and subcarriers under fairness requirements. It is revealed in our work that the considered optimization problem can be efficiently solved relying on convex optimization theory and the Lagrangian dual decomposition method is exploited to solve the considered problem effectively. Moreover, in each iteration the closed-form optimal resource allocation solutions can be obtained based on the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT) conditions. 6Cooperative beamforming design for physical-layer security of multi-hop MIMO communications显示文摘The security issue is critically important for wireless communications, especially for multi-hop communications. In this paper, we propose a cooperative secrecy beamforming scheme for a multi-hop MIMO communication network, in which there is a single-antenna source, multiple multi-antenna relays and a singleantenna destination. Moreover, two types of eavesdroppers exist in the network, one of which has known channel state information(CSI), while the other not. To achieve security communications, in our work null-space beamforming and artificial noise beamforming are jointly optimized to improve the secrecy rate of the multi-hop network. In nature, the joint optimization is nonconvex and challenging. Exploiting its structure, the considered optimization problem is decoupled into a series of subproblems that can be efficiently solved based on convex optimization theory. 7Distributed cooperative localization based on Gaussian message passing on factor graph in wireless networks显示文摘In conventional localization, agents may not be able to reach sufficient number of anchors to obtain unambiguous locations, especially in sparse networks. Cooperative localization is a promising solution in that harsh environment, which enables the agents to cooperate with each other by exchanging location information and performing range measurements. In this paper, a distributed cooperative localization method based on factor graph is proposed in wireless networks. Gaussian parametric messages are used to represent the messages passed on factor graph. However, because of the nonlinear observation model, no closed-form solutions can be obtained. To solve this problem, the Taylor expansion is used to approximate the nonlinear terms in message updating, which leads to the Gaussian message passing on factor graph. Accordingly, only two parameters of the Gaussian distribution have to be transmitted and the communication overhead for localization can be significantly reduced. The two proposed algorithms for the application with accurate and inaccurate anchors,respectively, are evaluated by Monte Carlo simulations and compared with the SPAWN and maximum likelihood(ML) estimator. 8Performance analysis for uplink massive MIMO systems with a large and random number of UEs显示文摘In this paper, we analyze the ergodic achievable rate of an uplink massive multi-user multipleinput multiple-output(MIMO) system with a large and Poisson distributed number of users. In the considered scenario, multiple user equipments(UEs) transmit their information to a base station equipped with a very large number of antennas. New asymptotic expressions for the ergodic achievable rate for large and deterministic number of users are derived for both maximum ratio combining(MRC) detector and zero-forcing(ZF) detector,as well as the ergodic achievable rate for large and random number of users. Simulation results assess the accuracy of these analytical expressions. It is shown that compared with the MRC detector, ZF detector can achieve much higher spectrum efficiency. 9Outage probability analysis for superposition coded symmetric relaying显示文摘Superposition coded symmetric relaying is a bandwidth-efficient cooperative scheme where each source node simultaneously transmits both its own 'local' packet and 'relay' packet that originated at its partner by adding the modulated local and relay signals in Euclidean space. This paper investigates the power allocation and outage probability of a superposition coded symmetric relaying system with finite-constellation signaling. We first derive the mutual information (MI) metrics for the system. The derived MI metrics consist of two parts: one represents the MI conveyed by the modulated signal corresponding to its own data, and the other represents the MI conveyed by the modulated signal corresponding to its partner's data. Using MI based effective signal-to-noise ratio mapping technique, we attain expressions for the outage probability. Furthermore, we discuss power allocation policies that minimize the outage probability. 10Microphone Array Speech Enhancement Based on Tensor Filtering Methods显示文摘This paper proposes a novel microphone array speech denoising scheme based on tensor filtering methods including truncated HOSVD(High-Order Singular Value Decomposition), low rank tensor approximation and multi-mode Wiener filtering. Microphone array speech signal is represented in three-order tensor space with channel, time, and spectrum modes and then tensor filtering model can be designed to process the multiway array data. As to the first method, noise can be reduced through the truncated HOSVD which is a simple scheme in tensor processing. It is more accurate to find the lower-rank approximation of the three-order tensor with Tucker model. Then MDL(Minimum Description Length) criterion is used to estimate the optimal tensor rank in the second method. Further, multimode Wiener filtering approach upon tensor analysis can be considered as the spanning of one-mode wiener filtering. How to take advantages of tensor model to obtain a set of filters is the heart of the novel scheme. The performances of the proposed three approaches are evaluated with objective indexes and listening quality test. 11Enhanced frameless slotted ALOHA protocol with Markov chains analysis显示文摘In this paper, we propose a novel approach to enhance the performance of frameless slotted ALOHA(SA) protocol. We employ signature codes to help the receiver identify the packets contained in collisions, and use successive interference cancellation(SIC) for packet recovery. We model the proposed scheme as a two-state Markov model represented by a uni-partite graph. We evaluate the throughput,expected delay and average memory size of the proposed scheme, and optimize the proposed scheme to maximize the throughput. 13Parametric message passing-based relative navigation in joint tactical information distribution system显示文摘Relative navigation is a key feature in the joint tactical information distribution system(JTIDS).A parametric message passing algorithm based on factor graph is proposed to perform relative navigation in JTIDS.First of all,the joint posterior distribution of all the terminals' positions is represented by factor graph.Because of the nonlinearity between the positions and time-of-arrival(TOA) measurement,messages cannot be obtained in closed forms by directly using the sum-product algorithm on factor graph.To this end,the Euclidean norm is approximated by Taylor expansion.Then,all the messages on the factor graph can be derived in Gaussian forms,which enables the terminals to transmit means and covariances.Finally,the impact of major error sources on the navigation performance are evaluated by Monte Carlo simulations,e.g.,range measurement noise,priors of position uncertainty and velocity noise.Results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the extended Kalman filter and cooperative extended Kalman filter in both static and mobile scenarios of the JTIDS.Nan Wu Bin Li Hua Wang Liang Hou Jingming Kuang 2016Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2016,27,1:1

17Automatic Satisfaction Analysis in Call Centers Considering Global Features of Emotion and Duration显示文摘Analysis of customers' satisfaction provides a guarantee to improve the service quality in call centers.In this paper,a novel satisfaction recognition framework is introduced to analyze the customers' satisfaction.In natural conversations,the interaction between a customer and its agent take place more than once.One of the difficulties insatisfaction analysis at call centers is that not all conversation turns exhibit customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction. To solve this problem,an intelligent system is proposed that utilizes acoustic features to recognize customers' emotion and utilizes the global features of emotion and duration to analyze the satisfaction. Experiments on real-call data show that the proposed system offers a significantly higher accuracy in analyzing the satisfaction than the baseline system. 18A QoE-based jointly subcarrier and power allocation for multiuser multiservice networks显示文摘Quality of experience(QoE) is widely applied to reflect user's satisfaction of the network service,which exactly conforms to the user-centric concept in 5G. In this paper, we propose a QoE-based subcarrier and power allocation algorithm for the downlink transmission of a multiuser multiservice system. For the subcarrier allocation algorithm, the rate proportional fairness factor is defined to ensure the fairness between users. Based on different QoE models of three services, i.e., file down(FD), video streaming and voice over internet protocol(VOIP), a multi-objective optimization method is exploited to allocate the power resource by minimizing the total power consumption and maximizing the mean opinion score(MOS) value of users simultaneously. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm has less power consumption and higher QoE performance than the traditional proportional fairness(PF) algorithm. In addition, the proposed algorithm can achieve nearly the same fairness performance as the PF algorithm. 19A Novel Two-Layer Model for Overall Quality Assessment of Multichannel Audio显示文摘With the development of multichannel audio systems, corresponding audio quality assessment techniques, especially the objective prediction models, have received increasing attention. Existing methods, such as PEAQ(Perceptual Evaluation of Audio Quality) recommended by ITU, usually lead to poor results when assessing multichannel audio, which have little correlation with subjective scores. In this paper, a novel two-layer model based on Multiple Linear Regression(MLR) and Neural Network(NN) is proposed. Through the first layer, two indicators of multichannel audio, Audio Quality Score(AQS) and Spatial Perception Score(SPS) are derived, and through the second layer the overall score is output. 20A real-time QoE methodology for AMR codec voice in mobile network显示文摘This paper studies a general strategy to predict voice Quality of Experience(QoE)for various mobile networks.Particularly,based on data-mining for Adaptive Multi-Rate(AMR)codec voice,a novel QoE assessment methodology is proposed.The proposed algorithm consists of two parts.The first part is devoted to assessing speech quality of fixed rate codec mode(CM)of AMR while in the other one a adaptive rate CM is designed.Measuring basic network parameters that have much impact on speech quality,QoE can be monitored in real time for operators.Meanwhile,based on the measurement data sets from real mobile network,the QoE prediction strategy can be implemented and QoE assessment model for AMR codec voice is trained and tested.Finally,the numerical results suggest that the correlation coefficient between predicted values and true values is greater than 90%and root mean squared error is less than 0.5 for fixed and adaptive rate CM.LI WenZhi WANG Jing XING ChengWen FEI ZeSong KUANG JingMing 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,4:0
