1Epitaxially grown monolayer VSe2: an air-stable magnetic two-dimensional material with low work function at edges显示文摘Recent experimental breakthroughs open up new opportunities for magnetism in few-atomic-layer twodimensional(2 D) materials, which makes fabrication of new magnetic 2 D materials a fascinating issue.Here, we report the growth of monolayer VSe_2 by molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) method. Electronic properties measurements by scanning tunneling spectroscopy(STS) method revealed that the asgrown monolayer VSe_2 has magnetic characteristic peaks in its electronic density of states and a lower work-function at its edges. Moreover, air exposure experiments show air-stability of the monolayer VSe_2. 2A comparison between powders and thin films of single-walled carbon nanotubes for the adsorption behaviors of phenylalanine and glycine by XANES study显示文摘We have compared the adsorption behaviors between single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) powders and thin films with amino acids such as phenylalanine and glycine by using the X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy. On SWCNT powders very weak adsorption occurs as confirmed also by studies at high solution concentrations. The comparison of the adsorption behaviors with previous reports for thin films of SWCNTs shows that, due to their compact structure, thin films favor the adsorption of amino acids and represent themselves good candidate for a reliable evaluation of the interaction among amino acids and SWCNTs.IBRAHIM Kurash 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,8:1
3Angular dependent NEXAFS study of the molecular orientation of PTCDA multilayers on Au (111) surface显示文摘The molecular orientation of perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride (PTCDA) multilayers adsorbed on Au (111) surface has been investigated using angular dependent O K-edge near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy. The significant angular dependence of important resonant structures (π* and σ*) reveals that PTCDA molecules adopt an ordered geometry on the substrate surface.
