1Oxaliplatin plus S-1 or capecitabine as neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced gastric cancer with D2lymphadenectomy: 5-year follow-up results of a phase II-III randomized trial显示文摘Objective: To compare the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT) with adjuvant chemotherapy(ACT)using oxaliplatin plus S-1(SOX) or capecitabine(CapeOX) on gastric cancer patients with D2 lymphadenectomy.Methods: This was a two-by-two factorial randomized phase II-III trial, and registered on ISRCTN registry(No. ISRCTN12206108). Locally advanced gastric cancer patients were randomized to neoadjuvant SOX,neoadjuvant CapeOX, adjuvant SOX, or adjuvant CapeOX arms. Primary analysis was performed on an intentionto-treat(ITT) basis using overall survival(OS) as primary endpoint.Results: This trial started in September 2011 and closed in December 2012 with 100 patients enrolled.Treatment completion rate was 56%, 52%, 38% and 30% in the four arms, respectively. NACT group had fewer dropouts due to unacceptable toxicity(P=0.042). Surgical complication rate did not differ by the four groups(P=0.986). No survival significant difference was found comparing NACT with ACT(P=0.664; 5-year-OS: 70% vs.74% respectively), nor between the SOX and CapeOX groups(P=0.252; 5-year-OS: 78% vs. 66% respectively).Subgroup analysis showed SOX significantly improved survival in patients with diffuse type(P=0.048).Conclusions: No significant survival difference was found between NACT and ACT. SOX and CapeOX had good safety and efficacy as neoadjuvant regimens. 7Synergy of Anodic Oxidation and Cathodic Reduction Leads to Electrochemical C—H Halogenation显示文摘We herein uncovered an electrochemical C—H halogenation protocol that synergistically combines anodic oxidation and cathodic reduction for C—X bond formation. The reaction was demonstrated under exogenous-oxidant-free conditions. 8Tuning radical reactivity for selective radical/radical cross-coupling显示文摘Radical/radical cross-coupling represents a straightforward way for the construction of new chemical bonds in theory and has received more and more attention over the past several years. Until now, it is challenging to achieve the selective bond formation between two transient radicals since selective radical cross-coupling usually happens between persistent radical and transient radical. However, the number of persistent radicals is much less than that of transient radicals. These issues limit the application of radical/radical cross-coupling in the construction of new chemical bonds. To solve this, we proposed a novel strategy ‘‘tuning radical reactivity' that could tune transient radical into persistent radical. 11Simulating the strong ground motion of the 2022 MS6.8 Luding,Sichuan,China Earthquake显示文摘Stochastic finite-fault simulations are effective for simulating ground motions and are widely used in engineering to determine the impacts of ground motion and develop relevant predictive equations.In this study,the source,path,and site amplification coefficient of western Sichuan Province,China,and stochastic finite-fault simulations were used to simulate the acceleration time series,Fourier amplitude spectra,and 5%damped response spectra of 28 strong-motion stations with rupture distances within 300 km of the 2022 MS6.8 Luding earthquake.The simulation results of 14 stations at rupture distances of 45-185 km match the observation.However,the simulation results of 3 near-and 6 far-field stations at rupture distances of 12-36 km and 222-286 km,respectively,were obviously deviated from the observations.Simulation results of the near-field stations are larger than the observations at high frequencies(>6 Hz).The discrepancy likely comes from the nonlinear site effect of near-field stations,which reduced the site amplification at high frequencies.Simulation result of the far-field stations is smaller than the observation at frequencies above 1 Hz.As these stations are located close to the Longmenshan Fault Zone(LFZ),thus,we obtained a new quality factor(Q)from data of historical events and stations located around LFZ.Using the new Q value,the discrepancies of the high-frequency simulation results of the far-field stations were corrected.This result indicated that the laterally varying Q values can be used to address the impact of strong crustal lateral heterogeneity on simulation.Libao Zhang Lei Fu Aiwen Liu Su Chen 2023Earthquake Science2023,36,4:1
