1Experimental study of separation of ammonia synthesis vent gas by hydrate formation显示文摘Termodynamic data on methane hydrate formation in the presence of ammonia are very important for upgrading of ammonia synthesis vent gas using hydrate formation. This paper is focused on the formation conditions of methane hydrate in the presence of ammonia and the effects of gas-liquid ratio and temperature on the separation of vent gas by hydrate formation. Equilibrium data for methane hydrate within an ammonia mole concentration range from 1% to 5 % were obtained. The experimental results indicated that ammonia has an inhibitive effect on hydrate formation. The higher the ammonia concentration, the higher is the pressure reguired for methane hydrate formation would be. 5Comparative study of the fabrication of ultrafine Ti(C,N)-based cermets by spark plasma sintering and conventional vacuum sintering显示文摘Spark plasma sintering (SPS) and conventional vacuum sintering (VS) were employed to fabricate ultrafine Ti(C,N)-based cermets. The shrinkage behavior, microstructure, and porosity and mechanical properties of the samples fab-ricated by SPS were compared with those of the samples sintered by VS using optical microscopy, scanning electron mi-croscopy, universal testing machine, and rockwell tester. The results are as follows: (1) The shrinkage process occurred mainly in the range of 1000-1300°C during the VS process, and only a 0.2% linear shrinkage ratio appeared below 800°C; during the SPS process, a 60% dimensional change occurred below 800°C as a result of pressure action. (2) By utilizing the SPS technique, it is difficult for obtaining fully dense Ti(C,N)-based cermets. Due to the much existence of pores and un-combined carbon, the mechanical properties of the sintered samples by SPS are inferior to sintered ones by VS. (3) grain size of the samples sintered by SPS is still below 0.5 μm, but not by VS; because of low sintering temperature, there are no typical core/rim structures formed in the sintered samples by SPS1; the main microstructures of the sintered samples by SPS2 are a white core/grey shell structure, whereas by VS show a typical black core/grey shell structure.LEIYan XIONGWeihao HANGZaiguo FENGPing WANGZhiwu 2005Rare Metals2005,24,2:1
6Protective role of metallothionein (Ⅰ/Ⅱ) against pathological damage and apoptosis induced by dimethylarsinic acid显示文摘AIM: To better clarify the main target organs of dimethylarsinic acid toxicity and the role of metallothionein (MTs) in modifying dimethylarsinic acid (DMAA) toxicity. METHODS: MT-Ⅰ/Ⅱ null (MT^-/-) mice and the corresponding wild-type mice (MT^+/+), six in each group, were exposed to DMAA (0-750 mg/kg body weight) by a single oral injection.Twenty four hours later, the lungs, livers and kidneys were collected and undergone pathological analysis, induction of apoptolic cells as determined by TUNEL and Mr concentration was detected by radio-immunoassay. RESULTS: Remarkable pathological lesions were observed at the doses ranging from 350 to 750 mg/kg body weight in the lungs, livers and kidneys and MT^+/+ mice exhibited a relatively slight destruction when compared with that in dose matched MT/ mice. The number of apoptotic cells was increased in a dose dependent manner in the lungs and livers in both types of mice. DMAA produced more necrotic cells rather than apoptotic cells at the highest dose of 750 mg/kg,however, no significant increase was observed in the kidney.Hepatic Mr level in Mr^+/+ mice was significantly increased by DMAA in a dose-dependent manner and there was no detectable amount of hepatic MT in untreated MT^-/- mice.
