1Photochemical oxidation of dimethylsulfide in seawater显示文摘Dimethylsulfide(DMS) is generally thought to be lost from the surface oceans by evasion into the atmosphere as well as consumption by microbe.However,photochemical process might be important in the removal of DMS in the oceanic photic zone.A kinetic investigation into the photochemical oxidation of DMS in seawater was performed.The photo-oxidation rates of DMS were influenced by various factors including the medium,dissolved oxygen,photosensitizers,and heavy metal ions.The photo-oxidation rates of DMS were higher in seawater than in distilled water,presumably due to the effect of salinity existing in seawater.Three usual photosensitizers(humic acid,fulvic acid and anthroquinone),especially in the presence of oxygen,were able to enhance the photo-oxidation rate of DMS,with the fastest rate observed with anthroquinone.Photo-oxidation of DMS followed first order reaction kinetics with the rate constant ranging from 2.5×10-5 to 34.3×10-5 s-1.Quantitative analysis showed that approximately 32% of the photochemically removed DMS was converted to dimethylsulfoxide.One of the important findings was that the presence of Hg2+ could markedly accelerate the photo-oxidation rate of DMS in seawater.The mechanism of mercuric catalysis for DMS photolysis was suggested according to the way of CTTM(charge transfer to metal) of DMS-Hg2+ complex.YANG Guipeng LI Chengxuan QI Jialin HU Lige HOU Haijun 2007Acta Oceanologica Sinica2007,26,5:4

3Experimental Study on Factors that Influence the Diameter of Dry Granulated Particles显示文摘The development of heat recovery methods for dry granulation processes from blast furnace slag in the iron and steel industry is limited because of the high consumption of granulation energy during these processes.To determine the factors that influence the diameter of granulated particles,a paraffin test platform for gas quenching granulation was established.The influences of air velocity,air flow rate,liquid mass flow rate,and liquid pipe diameter on the final particle size and mass distribution were studied.Experimental results showed that the final particle size decreased(from 1.07 mm to 0.81 mm) with increasing air velocity(from 28.3 m/s to 113.2 m/s).However,when air velocity was higher than 60 m/s,its influence on particle diameter decreased significantly.The experimental data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics software,which indicated that the effect of air velocity on particle diameter was the most significant,followed by those of air flow and liquid pipe diameter.The effect of liquid mass flow was the least significant.TONG Lige ZHANG Pei YIN Shaowu LIU Yongxu WANG Li DING Yulong 2016Journal of Thermal Science2016,25,6:2
4Bias correction of sea surface temperature retrospective forecasts in the South China Sea显示文摘Offline bias correction of numerical marine forecast products is an effective post-processing means to improve forecast accuracy. Two offline bias correction methods for sea surface temperature(SST) forecasts have been developed in this study: a backpropagation neural network(BPNN) algorithm, and a hybrid algorithm of empirical orthogonal function(EOF) analysis and BPNN(named EOF-BPNN). The performances of these two methods are validated using bias correction experiments implemented in the South China Sea(SCS), in which the target dataset is a six-year(2003–2008) daily mean time series of SST retrospective forecasts for one-day in advance, obtained from a regional ocean forecast and analysis system called the China Ocean Reanalysis(CORA),and the reference time series is the gridded satellite-based SST. The bias-correction results show that the two methods have similar good skills;however, the EOF-BPNN method is more than five times faster than the BPNN method. 10Liquid Air Energy Storage for Decentralized Micro Energy Networks with Combined Cooling,Heating,Hot Water and Power Supply显示文摘Liquid air energy storage(LAES)has been regarded as a large-scale electrical storage technology.In this paper,we first investigate the performance of the current LAES(termed as a baseline LAES)over a far wider range of charging pressure(1 to 21 MPa).Our analyses show that the baseline LAES could achieve an electrical round trip efficiency(e RTE)above 60%at a high charging pressure of 19 MPa.The baseline LAES,however,produces a large amount of excess heat particularly at low charging pressures with the maximum occurred at~1 MPa.Hence,the performance of the baseline LAES,especially at low charging pressures,is underestimated by only considering electrical energy in all the previous research.The performance of the baseline LAES with excess heat is then evaluated which gives a high e RTE even at lower charging pressures;the local maximum of 62%is achieved at~4 MPa.As a result of the above,a hybrid LAES system is proposed to provide cooling,heating,hot water and power.To evaluate the performance of the hybrid LAES system,three performance indicators are considered:nominal-electrical round trip efficiency(ne RTE),primary energy savings and avoided carbon dioxide emissions.Our results show that the hybrid LAES can achieve a high ne RTE between 52%and 76%,with the maximum at~5 MPa.For a given size of hybrid LAES(1 MW×8 h),the primary energy savings and avoided carbon dioxide emissions are up to 12.1 MWh and 2.3 ton,respectively.These new findings suggest,for the first time,that small-scale LAES systems could be best operated at lower charging pressures and the technologies have a great potential for applications in local decentralized micro energy networks.SHE Xiaohui ZHANG Tongtong PENG Xiaodong WANG Li TONG Lige LUO Yimo ZHANG Xiaosong DING Yulong 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1:1
11Energy storage for black start services:A review显示文摘With the increasing deployment of renewable energy-based power generation plants,the power system is becoming increasingly vulnerable due to the intermittent nature of renewable energy,and a blackout can be the worst scenario.The current auxiliary generators must be upgraded to energy sources with substantially high power and storage capacity,a short response time,good profitability,and minimal environmental concern.Difficulties in the power restoration of renewable energy generators should also be addressed.The different energy storage methods can store and release electrical/thermal/mechanical energy and provide flexibility and stability to the power system.Herein,a review of the use of energy storage methods for black start services is provided,for which little has been discussed in the literature.First,the challenges that impede a stable,environmentally friendly,and cost-effective energy storage-based black start are identified.The energy storagebased black start service may lack supply resilience.Second,the typical energy storage-based black start service,including explanations on its steps and configurations,is introduced.Black start services with different energy storage technologies,including electrochemical,thermal,and electromechanical resources,are compared.Results suggest that hybridization of energy storage technologies should be developed,which mitigates the disadvantages of individual energy storage methods,considering the deployment of energy storage-based black start services.Yanqi Zhao Tongtong Zhang Li Sun Xiaowei Zhao Lige Tong Li Wang Jianning Ding Yulong Ding 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,4:1
12Novel neutrophil extracellular trap-related mechanisms in diabetic wounds inspire a promising treatment strategy with hypoxia-challenged small extracellular vesicles显示文摘Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)have been considered a significant unfavorable factor for wound healing in diabetes,but the mechanisms remain unclear.The therapeutic application of small extracellular vesicles(sEVs)derived from mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)has received considerable attention for their properties.Hypoxic preconditioning is reported to enhance the therapeutic potential of MSC-derived sEVs in regenerative medicine.Therefore,the aim of this study is to illustrate the detailed mechanism of NETs in impairment of diabetic wound healing and develop a promising NET-targeting treatment based on hypoxic pretreated MSC-derived sEVs(Hypo-sEVs).Excessive NETs were found in diabetic wounds and in high glucose(HG)-induced neutrophils.Further research showed that high concentration of NETs impaired the function of fibroblasts through activating endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress.Hypo-sEVs efficiently promoted diabetic wound healing and reduced the excessive NET formation by transferring miR-17-5p.Bioinformatic analysis and RNA interference experiment revealed that miR-17-5p in Hypo-sEVs obstructed the NET formation by targeting TLR4/ROS/MAPK pathway.Additionally,miR-17-5p overexpression decreased NET formation and overcame NET-induced impairment in fibroblasts,similar to the effects of Hypo-sEVs.Overall,we identify a previously unrecognized NET-related mechanism in diabetic wounds and provide a promising NET-targeting strategy for wound treatment.Ziqiang Chu Qilin Huang Kui Ma Xi Liu Wenhua Zhang Shengnan Cui Qian Wei Huanhuan Gao Wenzhi Hu Zihao Wang Sheng Meng Lige Tian Haihong Li Xiaobing Fu Cuiping Zhang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,9:1

14Temporal-spatial oceanic variation in relation with the three typical Kuroshio paths south of Japan显示文摘Empirical orthogonal function(EOF)analysis was applied to a 50-year long time series of monthly mean positions of the Kuroshio path south of Japan from a regional reanalysis.Three leading EOF modes characterize the contributions from three typical paths of the Kuroshio meander:the typical large meander path,the offshore nonlarge meander path,and the nearshore non-large meander path,respectively.Accordingly,the spatial variation characteristics of oceanic anomaly fields can be depicted by their regression fields upon the associated three leading principal components(PCs),which are well-matched with the results of composite analysis corresponding to each period of the three typical Kuroshio paths.A new index for the typical large meander is defined by using the second leading PC,which is highly correlated with the Kushimoto-Uragami index.Spectral analysis of this new index series shows variability of the Kuroshio path south of Japan at time scales of about 7–8 years and 20 years.Xiaobo Wu Yanling Zhao Guijun Han Wei Li Qi Shao Lige Cao Chaoliang Li 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,2:1
15Dust distribution of solid and adhesive mixed dust in a granular bed filter显示文摘Granular bed filters can effectively filter adhesive dust in high-temperature flue gas.In this study.polyvinyl chloride(PVC)powder was used as adhesive dust,and the mixture of PVC and ash powder was used to simulate solid and adhesive mixed dust.The effects of gas temperature,velocity,and inlet adhesive dust mass content on dust distribution in granular bed(GBF)were discussed.Results show that the mixed dust mainly accumulates on the upper part of the granular bed,and the mass of the collected dust decreases exponentially from the upper layer to the bottom layer in the GBF.The adhesive dust content collected in each layer differs from that of the incoming dust,and their deviation varies approximately linearly along with the depth of the bed.The total dust distribution and adhesive dust content deviation are influenced by gas temperature and inlet adhesive dust content but independent of gas velocity.The correlations of dust distribution of solid and adhesive mixed dust are presented based on the experimental results.Zhengtao Wang Chuanping Liu Li Wang Shaowu Yin Lige Tong 2022Particuology2022,20,8:1
16Heating Characteristics and Economic Analysis of a Controllable On-Demand Heating System Based on Off-Peak Electricity Energy Storage显示文摘The working principle of a controllable on-demand heating system based on off-peak electricity energy storage(COHSBOEES) is as follows: the cheap off-peak electricity energy is converted into heat energy for storage in the evening, and the heat energy can be extracted on demand for heating during daytime peak or flat electricity periods. This technology can promote the smooth operation of the power grid, solve the problem of peak regulation for the electrical network, and promote renewable energy consumption. Based on the controllable on-demand heating strategy, a COHSBOEES for a heating area of 1000 m^2 was designed and built. Variations in the energy consumption and operating cost of the COHSBOEES in different heating situations were analyzed. The results showed that, off-peak electricity energy storage for heating was energy saving in comparison with central heating when the heating intensity of the COHSBOEES was 70 W/m^2 and the on-demand heating rate was less than 73.0%, and the off-peak electricity energy storage for heating was energy saving at any on-demand heating rate when the COHSBOEES had a heating intensity of 50 W/m^2. 19Preparation and Thermal Properties of a Novel Modified Ammonium Alum/Expanded Graphite Composite Phase Change Material显示文摘Thermal energy storage(TES)using phase change materials(PCMs)is a powerful solution to the improvement of energy efficiency.The application of Ammonium alum(A-alum,NH4Al(SO_(4))_(2)·12H_(2)O)in the latent thermal energy storage(LTES)systems is hampered due to its high supercooling and low thermal conductivity.In this work,modified A-alum(M-PCM)containing different nucleating agents was prepared and further adsorbed in expanded graphite(EG)to obtain composite phase change material(CPCM)to overcome the disadvantages of A-alum.Thermal properties,thermal cycle stability,microstructure and chemical compatibility of CPCM were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry,thermal constant analysis,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The cold rewarming phenomenon of CPCM was established and explained.Results showed that the latent heat and melting point of CPCM were 187.22 J/g and 91.54℃,respectively.The supercooling of CPCM decreased by 9.61℃,and thermal conductivity increased by 27 times compared with pure A-alum.Heat storage and release tests indicated that 2 wt%calcium chloride dihydrate(CCD,CaCl_(2)·2H_(2)O)was the optimum nucleating agent for A-alum.The result of TG and 30 thermal cycles revealed that CPCM exhibited favorable thermal stability and reliability during the operating temperature.The prepared modified A-alum/EG CPCM has a promising application prospect for LTES.YIN Shaowu HAN Jiawei ZHANG Chao KANG Peng TONG Lige WANG Li 2023Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,6:0
20Bionic Design and Simulation Analysis of Energy⁃Efficient and Vibration⁃Damping Walking Mechanism显示文摘African ostrich can run for 30 min at a speed of 60 km/h in the desert,and its hindlimb has excellent energy saving and vibration damping performance.In order to realize the energy⁃efficient and vibration⁃damping design of the leg mechanism of the legged robot,the principle of engineering bionics was applied.According to the passive rebound characteristic of the intertarsal joint of the ostrich foot and the characteristic of variable output stiffness of the ostrich hindlimb,combined with the proportion and size of the structure of the ostrich hindlimb,the bionic rigid⁃flexible composite legged robot single⁃leg structure was designed.The locomotion of the bionic mechanical leg was simulated by means of ADAMS.Through the motion simulation analysis,the influence of the change of the inner spring stiffness coefficient within a certain range on the vertical acceleration of the body centroid and the motor power consumption was studied,and the optimal stiffness coefficient of the inner spring was obtained to be 200 N/mm,and it was further verified that the inner and outer spring mechanism could effectively reduce the energy consumption of the mechanical leg.Simulation results show that the inner and outer spring mechanism could effectively reduce the motor energy consumption by about 72.49%.Rui Zhang Hao Pang Yuan He Dianlei Han Lige Wen Lei Jiang Jianqiao Li 2021Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2021,28,4:0
