1Fine-Tuning of MiR528 Accumulation Modulates Flowering Time in Rice显示文摘In plants,microRNA (miRNA) functions in the post-transcriptional repression of target mRNAs have been well explored.However,the mechanisms regulating the accumulation of miRNAs remain poorly under.stood.Here,we report that distinct mechanisms regulate accumulation of a monocot-specific miRNA,rice (Oryza sativa) miR528.At the transcriptional level,miR528 accumulated to higher levels in older plants than in young seedlings and exhibited aging-modulated gradual accumulation and diurnal rhythms in leaves;at the post-transcriptional level,aging also modulated miR528 levels by enhancing pri-miR528 alter.native splicing.We found that miR528 promotes rice flowering under long-day conditions by targeting RED AND FAR-RED INSENSITIVE2 (OsRFI2).Moreover,natural variations in the MIR528 promoter region caused differences in miR528 expression among rice varieties,which are correlated with their different binding affinities with the transcription factor OsSPL9 that activates the expression of miR528.Taken together,our findings reveal rice plants have evolved sophisticated modes fine-tuning miR528 levels and provide insight into the mechanisms that regulate MIRNA expression in plants.Rongxin Yang Pingchuan Li Hailiang Mei Dong Wang Jing Sun Chao Yang Lili Hao Shouyun Cao Chengcai Chu Songnian Hu Xianwei Song Xiaofeng Cao 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:12
2Cybersecurity Named Entity Recognition Using Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory with Conditional Random Fields显示文摘Network texts have become important carriers of cybersecurity information on the Internet.These texts include the latest security events such as vulnerability exploitations,attack discoveries,advanced persistent threats,and so on.Extracting cybersecurity entities from these unstructured texts is a critical and fundamental task in many cybersecurity applications.However,most Named Entity Recognition(NER)models are suitable only for general fields,and there has been little research focusing on cybersecurity entity extraction in the security domain.To this end,in this paper,we propose a novel cybersecurity entity identification model based on Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory with Conditional Random Fields(Bi-LSTM with CRF)to extract security-related concepts and entities from unstructured text.This model,which we have named XBi LSTM-CRF,consists of a word-embedding layer,a bidirectional LSTM layer,and a CRF layer,and concatenates X input with bidirectional LSTM output.Via extensive experiments on an open-source dataset containing an office security bulletin,security blogs,and the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures list,we demonstrate that XBi LSTM-CRF achieves better cybersecurity entity extraction than state-of-the-art models.Pingchuan Ma Bo Jiang Zhigang Lu Ning Li Zhengwei Jiang 2021Tsinghua Science and Technology2021,26,3:9
3Degradome sequencing reveals endogenous small RNA targets in rice (Oryza sativa L. ssp. indica)显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)and small interfering RNAs(siRNAs)regulate gene expression in eukaryotes.Plant miRNAs modulate their targets mainly via messenger RNA(mRNA)cleavage.Small RNA(sRNA)targets have been extensively investigated in Arabidopsis using computational prediction,experimental validation,and degradome sequencing.However,small RNA targets are largely unknown in rice(Oryza sativa).Here,we report global identification of small RNA targets using high throughput degradome sequencing in the rice indica cultivar 93-11(Oryza sativa L.ssp.indica).One hundred and seventy-seven transcripts targeted by a total of 87 unique miRNAs were identified.Of targets for the conserved miRNAs between Arabidopsis and rice,transcription factors comprise around 70%(58 in 82),indicating that these miRNAs act as masters of gene regulatory nodes in rice.In contrast,non-conserved miRNAs targeted diverse genes which provide more complex regulatory networks.In addition,5 AUXIN RESPONSE FACTORs(ARFs)cleaved by the TAS3 derived ta-siRNAs were also detected.A total of 40 sRNA targets were further validated via RNA ligasemediated 5′rapid amplification of cDNA ends(RLM 5′-RACE).Our degradome results present a detailed sRNAtarget interaction atlas,which provides a guide for the study of the roles of sRNAs and their targets in rice.Ming ZHOU Lianfeng GU Pingchuan LI Xianwei SONG Liya WEI Zhiyu CHEN Xiaofeng CAO 2010Frontiers in Biology2010,5,1:3

7Oceanic crustal structure and tectonic origin of the southern Kyushu-Palau Ridge in the Philippine Sea显示文摘A new high-resolution velocity model of the southern Kyushu-Palau Ridge(KPR) was derived from an activesource wide-angle seismic reflection/refraction profile. The result shows that the KPR crust can be divided into the upper crust with the P-wave velocity less than 6.1 m/s, and lower crust with P-wave velocity between 6.1 km/s and 7.2 km/s. The crustal thickness of the KPR reaches 12.0 km in the center, which gradually decreases to 5.0–6.0 km at sides. The velocity structure of the KPR is similar to the structures of the adjacent West Philippine Basin and Parece Vela Basin(PVB), indicating a typical oceanic crust. Isostatic analysis shows that some regional compensation occurs during the loading of the KPR, which implies that the KPR was built mainly by magmatism during the splitting of the Izu-Bonin-Mariana arc and the following back-arc seafloor spreading of the PVB during30–28 Ma BP. 9Antifogging and antibacterial properties of amphiphilic coatings based on zwitterionic copolymers显示文摘Tackling fogging and microbial infection problems related to the endoscope lens remain challenges due to visual disturbances and bacterial threats to human health.Herein,highly transparent antifogging and antibacterial coatings were developed in a facile way by thermal curing of zwitterionic copolymers poly(n-butyl methacrylate-co-2-aminoethyl methacrylate-co-sulfobetaine methacrylate)s with 1,3,5-triformylbenzene.Characterizations of surface chemical composition and wettability suggested that the copolymer coatings exhibited amphiphilicity with a hydrophobic surface and internal hydrophilicity.The prepared amphiphilic coating exhibited excellent antifogging properties both in vivo and in vitro.The introduction of hydrophobic n-butyl methacrylate and cationic aminoethylmethacrylate could improve the stability and antibacterial capability of the coating.The growth inhibition rates of the coatings against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were up to 99%and the copolymer coatings with the zwitterionic groups had low hemolytic rates less than 3%.The amphiphilic copolymer coatings combined antifogging and antibacterial properties may have a promising potential for applications in biomedical devices.ZHAO ChiXu YUAN XiaoYan BAI Shan SUN PingChuan ZHAO YunHui ZHU KongYing REN LiXia LI XiaoHui 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,4:1

12SYNTHESIS OF NANOPOROUS SILICA WITH INTERIOR COMPOSITE CELLS WITH SYNTHETIC BLOCK COPOLYPEPTIDE AS TEMPLATE显示文摘Nanoporous silica with unusual interior composite cells was synthesized with synthetic block copolypeptide Phe20-b-PBLG50 as template for the first time. Anilino-methyl triethoxy silane (AMTS) was used as an intermedium to interact with block co-polypeptide Phe20-b-PBLG50 through π-π interaction between the phenyl groups of block copolypeptide and those of AMTS. Meanwhile, AMTS co-condenses together with tetraethoxylsilane (TEOS) after hy-drolysis. The structure of composite vesicles due to the self-assembly of block copolypeptide in the or-ganic solvent was immobilized and transcribed by the formation of silica. The formation of nanopores could be ascribed to the secondary structure of block co-polypeptide and small molecular amine. 13Deciphering Benzene-Heterocycle Stacking Interaction Impact on the Electronic Structures and Photophysical Properties of Tetraphenylethene-Cored Foldamers显示文摘Conjugation,as an essential chemical term used to describe electron delocalization,can be roughly grouped into two categories,through-bond conjugation(TBC)and through-space conjugation(TSC).A hybrid conjugation system integrating both TBC and TSC is rarely studied and utilized,for lack of a well-established model and difficulty of structure modification and property tuning,despite its theoretical significance and potential applications.Herein,various foldamers with a tetraphenylethene(TPE)core are employed as hybrid conjugation models to investigate structure–property correlation by introducing heterocycles of furan/thiophene into theπ-stacking TSC component.For comparison,two kinds of TPE-cored foldamers with different stacking models,a benzene–heterocycle stacking model and a benzene–benzene stacking model,are designed.Combining experimental measurements and theoretical calculations,the impact of benzene–heterocycle interaction on the hybrid conjugation natures and photophysical properties has been studied systematically.The results reveal that the benzene–heterocycle stacking model can fabricate a hybrid conjugation nature with an improved TSC component to make a more dominant contribution to the electronic transition natures than the benzene–benzene stacking model,leading to the distinguishing photophysical behavior.This work provides valuable guidance for the design of new functional materials with hybrid conjugation systems.Zeyan Zhuang Pingchuan Shen Jianqing Li Jinshi Li Zujin Zhao Ben Zhong Tang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:0
14An adaptive and robust secret key extraction scheme from high noise wireless channel in IIoT显示文摘The Sixth-Generation(6G)enhances the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)communication efficiency and further raises security requirements.It is crucial to construct a post-quantum security communication channel between any pair of industrial equipment.Recent work shows that two legitimate devices can directly extract symmetrical secret keys in information-theoretic secure by measuring their common wireless channels.However,existing schemes may cause a high bit mismatch rate in IIoT with high noise.In addition,the physical layer key extraction scheme widely uses passive attack assumptions,which also contradicts the high-security requirements of IIoT.By analyzing and modeling IIoT systems and channels,we propose an Adaptive and Robust Secret Key Extraction scheme(ARSKE)from high noise wireless channels in 6G-enabled IIoT.To eliminate the non-reciprocity of the wireless channel,we design a smoothing method as the preprocessing module.Then,we propose a Robust Secure Reconciliation technique that can effectively resist active attacks by jointly designing the information reconciliation and privacy amplification phases.Extensive real-world experiments are conducted to test the effectiveness and robustness of our scheme.Lupeng Zhang Pingchuan Wang Yuming Zhang Zongzheng Chi Ning Tong Lei Wang Fengqi Li 2023Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,4:0

16Preliminary Results of the Seismicity Monitoring Experiment around the 2019 Mw5.4 Earthquake Epicenter in the Central South China Sea Basin显示文摘On September 5,2019,a moderate earthquake of Mw5.4 unexpectedly occurred in the apparently quiescent central basin of the South China Sea.We immediately carried out a seismicity monitoring experiment around the epicenter by using broadband ocean bottom seismometers(OBS)for the following three scientific targets.The first is knowing the earthquake seismogenic mechanism,fault structure and further development.The second is finding the role of the residual spreading ridge playing in earthquake processes and further revealing the deep structures of the ridge directional turning area.The third is confirming the existence and significance of the so called“Zhongnan fault”.This paper reports the preliminary results of the first phase experiment.Five OBSs were deployed for seismicity monitoring with a duration of 288 days,but only three were recovered.Micro-earthquakes were firstly detected by an automatic seismic phase picking algorithm and then were verified by analyzing their seismic phases and time-frequency characteristics in detail.A total of 21,68 and 89 microearthquakes were picked out from the three OBSs respectively within the distance of 30 km.The dominant frequency of these micro-earthquakes is 12-15 Hz,indicating tectonic fracturing.During the first two months after the mainshock the seismicity was relatively stronger,and micro-earthquakes were still occurring occasionally till the end of observation,indicating the epicenter area is active.We used Match&Locate method to locate 57 micro-earthquakes preliminarily.Their spatial distribution shows that the seismicity is developed mainly along the NE direction roughly parallel to the residual ridge with depth variations between 10-20 km.Wenfei Gong Aiguo Ruan Xiongwei Niu Zhenjie Wang Pingchuan Tan Xiaodong Wei Wei Wang Zhengyi Tong Liqun Cheng Fansheng Kong Shaoping Lu Jianke Fan Weiwei Ding Jinyao Gao Chunguo Yang Jiabiao Li 2024Journal of Earth Science2024,35,1:0
17Genome resources for the elite bread wheat cultivar Aikang 58 and mining of elite homeologous haplotypes for accelerating wheat improvement显示文摘Despite recent progress in crop genomics studies,the genomic changes brought about by modern breeding selection are still poorly understood,thus hampering genomics-assisted breeding,especially in polyploid crops with compound genomes such as common wheat(Triticum aestivum).In this work,we constructed genome resources for the modern elite common wheat variety Aikang 58(AK58).Comparative genomics between AK58 and the landrace cultivar Chinese Spring(CS)shed light on genomic changes that occurred through recent varietal improvement.We also explored subgenome diploidization and divergence in common wheat and developed a homoeologous locus-based genome-wide association study(HGWAS)approach,which was more effective than single homoeolog-based GWAS in unraveling agronomic trait-associated loci.A total of 123 major HGWAs loci were detected using a genetic population derived from AK58 and cs.Elite homoeologous haplotypes(HHs),formed by combinations of subgenomic homoeologs of the associated loci,were found in both parents and progeny,and many could substantially improve wheat yield and related traits.We built a website where users can download genome assembly sequence and annotation data for AK58,perform blast analysis,and run JBrowse.Our work enriches genome resources for wheat,provides new insights into genomic changes during modern wheat improve-.ment,and suggests that efficientmining of elite HHs can make a substantial contribuutionto genomics-assisted breeding in common wheat and other polyploid crops.Jizeng Jia Guangyao Zhao Danping Li Kai Wang Chuizheng Kong Pingchuan Deng Xueqing Yan Xueyong Zhang Zefu Lu Shujuan Xu Yuannian Jiao Kang Chong Xu Liu Dangqun Cui Guangwei Li Yijing Zhang Chunguang Du Liang Wu Tianbao Li Dong Yan Kehui Zhan Feng Chen Zhiyong Wang Lichao Zhang Xiuying Kong Zhengang Ru Daowen Wang Lifeng Gao 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,12:0
