Distribution and health risk assessment of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) in industrial site soils:A case study of urban renewal in Beijing,China显示文摘A field survey was conducted in a contaminated industrial site of southern Beijing,China to investigate the contents and distribution of the organochlorine pesticides(α-,β-,γ-,δ-HCH,p,p-DDT,p,p-DDE,p,p-DDD and o,p-DDT) in the profiles of soil, and a health risk assessment was carried out with CalTOX multimedia exposure model. Results showed that mean concentrations of total hexachlorocyclohexane isomers(HCHs) and total dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane isomers(DDXs) in soils were in the range of 13.20-148.71 mg/kg,and 3.02-67.43 mg/kg,respectively.Organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) content peaked in the surface and declined in soil profile with depth. The amounts of HCHs in three profiles of soil were larger than DDXs.Composition analysis indicated that there was a trend of degradation of OCPs in the site, but the mean of HCHs and DDXs concentration were over the state warning standard limit(HCHs,0.50 mg/kg;DDXs,0.50 mg/kg).According to current land use development, health risk assessment with CalTOX and Monte Carlo analysis showed that health risks mainly came from two exposure pathways:dermal uptake and inhalation, and the total risk values all exceeded the general acceptable health risk value(10-6).The sensitivity analysis indicated that five parameters significantly contributed to total risk. | YANG Wenrui,WANG Rusong,ZHOU Chuanbin,LI FengState key laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology,Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100085,China. | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,3: | 14
Space experimental studies of microgravity fluid science in China显示文摘Microgravity fluid physics is an important part of microgravity sciences, which consists of simple fluids of many new systems, gas-liquid two-phase flow and heat transfer, and complex fluid mechanics. In addition to the importance of itself in sciences and applications, microgravity fluid physics closely relates to microgravity combustion, space biotechnology and space materials science, and promotes the developments of interdisciplinary fields. Many space microgravity experiments have been performed on board the recoverable satellites and space ships of China and pushed the rapid development of microgravity sciences in China. In the present paper, space experimental studies and the main results of the microgravity fluid science in China in the last 10 years or so are introduced briefly. | HU WenRui LONG Mian KANG Qi XIE JingChang HOU MeiYing ZHAO JianFu DUAN Li WANG ShuangFeng | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,22: | 10

Inflammatory Changes in Paravertebral Sympathetic Ganglia in Two Rat Pain Models显示文摘Injury to peripheral nerves can lead to neuropathic pain, along with well-studied effects on sensory neurons, including hyperexcitability, abnormal spontaneous activity, and neuroinflammation in the sensory ganglia. Neuropathic pain can be enhanced by sympathetic activity. Peripheral nerve injury may also damage sympathetic axons or expose them to an inflammatory environment. In this study, we examined the lumbar sympathetic ganglion responses to two rat pain models: ligation of the L5 spinal nerve, and local inflammation of the L5 dorsal root ganglion(DRG), which does not involve axotomy. Both models resulted in neuroinflammatory changes in the sympathetic ganglia, as indicated by macrophage responses, satellite glia activation, and increased numbers of T cells, along with very modest increases in sympathetic neuron excitability(but not spontaneous activity) measured in ex vivo recordings. The spinal nerve ligation model generally caused larger responses than DRG inflammation.Plasticity of the sympathetic system should be recognized in studies of sympathetic effects on pain. | Ai-Ling Li Jing-Dong Zhang Wenrui Xie Judith A. | 6 | Haze removal for UAV reconnaissance images using layered scattering model显示文摘During the unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) reconnaissance missions in the middle-low troposphere, the reconnaissance images are blurred and degraded due to the scattering process of aerosol under fog, haze and other weather conditions, which reduce the image contrast and color fidelity. Considering the characteristics of UAV itself, this paper proposes a new algorithm for dehazing UAV reconnaissance images based on layered scattering model. The algorithm starts with the atmosphere scattering model, using the imaging distance, squint angle and other metadata acquired by the UAV. Based on the original model, a layered scattering model for dehazing is proposed. Considering the relationship between wave-length and extinction coefficient, the airlight intensity and extinction coefficient are calculated in the model. Finally, the restored images are obtained. In addition, a classification method based on Bayesian classification is used for classification of haze concentration of the image, avoiding the trouble of manual working. Then we evaluate the haze removal results according to both the subjective and objective criteria. The experimental results show that compared with the origin image, the comprehensive index of the image restored by our method increases by 282.84%, which proves that our method can obtain excellent dehazing effect. | Huang Yuqing Ding Wenrui Li Hongguang | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,2: | 6
Space experimental investigation on thermocapillary migration of bubbles显示文摘Results from a space experiment on bubble thermocapillary migration conducted on board the Chinese 22nd recoverable satellite were presented. Considering the temperature field in the cell was disturbed by the accumulated bubbles, the temperature gradient was corrected firstly with the help of the temperature measurement data at six points and numerical simulation. Marangoni number (Ma) of single bubble migrating in the space experiment ranged from 98.04 to 9288, exceeding that in the previous experiment data. The experiment data including the track and the velocity of two bubble thermocapillary migration showed that a smaller bubble would move slower as it was passed by a larger one, and the smaller one would even rest in a short time when the size ratio was large enough. | CUI HaiLiang HU Liang DUAN Li KANG Qi HU WenRui | 2008 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2008,51,7: | 4
Experimental and numerical investigation of the influence of roughness and turbulence on LUT airfoil performance显示文摘Vertical-axis wind turbines(VAWTs)have been widely used in urban environments, which contain dust and experience strong turbulence. However, airfoils for VAWTs in urban environments have received considerably less research attention than those for horizontal-axis wind turbines(HAWTs).In this study, the sensitivity of a new VAWT airfoil developed at the Lanzhou University of Technology(LUT)to roughness was investigated via a wind tunnel experiment. The results show that the LUT airfoil is less sensitive to roughness at a roughness height of<0.35 mm.Moreover, the drag bucket of the LUT airfoil decreases with increasing roughness height.Furthermore, the loads on the LUT airfoil during dynamic stall were studied at different turbulence intensities using a numerical method at a tip-speed ratio of 2.Before the stall, the turbulence intensity did not considerably affect the normal or tangential force coefficients of the LUT airfoil. However, after the stall, the normal force coefficient varied obviously at low turbulence intensity. Moreover,as the turbulence intensity increased, the normal and tangential force coefficients decreased rapidly, particularly in the downwind region of the VAWT. | Shoutu Li Ye Li Congxin Yang Xiaobo Zheng Qing Wang Yin Wang Deshun Li Wenrui Hu | 2019 | Acta Mechanica Sinica2019,35,6: | 3
Effect of Zr on phase separation, mechanical and corrosion behavior of heterogeneous CoCrFeNiZr_(x) high-etropy alloy显示文摘CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy(HEA)has attracted extensive attention due to its excellent corrosion resistance, but the low strength limits its engineering application prospects. In order to develop CoCrFeNi based HEAs with high strength, ductility and corrosion resistance, the effects of Zr content on the microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of heterogeneous CoCrFeNiZr_(x)(x=0,0.25,0.5 and 1)HEAs were investigated in this work. The results indicate that the increase of Zr content can significantly affect the phase stability of the alloy, and promote the formation of intermetallic compounds(Ni_(7)Zr_(2)and/or Laves phase)and the transformation of solid solution from face-centered cubic(FCC)structure(x=0,0.25 and 0.5)to body-centered cubic(BCC)structure(x=1).Reasonable control of the Zr content can endow the alloy excellent comprehensive properties.Especially, for CoCrFeNiZr_(0.25) alloy, composed of FCC matrix and a small amount of Ni_(7)Zr_(2)phases,the yield strength(~655 MPa)is increased by nearly four times higher than that of Zr-free alloy, and it also has good ductility(fracture stain>50%).Meanwhile,the corrosion resistance of CoCrFeNiZr_(0.25) alloy is better than that of SS304.The EIS results show that the addition of Zr reduces the stability of the passive film on the alloy, which can be related to the content of the beneficial oxide in the passive film and the thickness of the passive film through XPS analysis. Moreover, the work functions of different phases in CoCrFeNiZr_(x)alloys were obtained by firstprinciples calculations, which further confirmed the selective corrosion mechanism of the CoCrFeNiZr_(x) alloy combining the experimental results. | Wu Qi Wenrui Wang Xiao Yang Lu Xie Jiaming Zhang Dongyue Li Yong Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,14: | 3
Microbial diversity in the sediments of the southern Mariana Trench显示文摘Microbial diversity in the abyssal sediments beneath the seafloor of 30,94,and 151cm near the southern end of the Mariana Trench was analyzed in the Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform. Results show that the microbial populations were dominated by bacteria but merely no archaea were identifi ed at the three depths. In the bacterial community,Proteobacteria and Firmicutes dominated the total taxon tags, followed by Bacteroidetes,Actinobacteria,Planctomycetes,Cyanobacteria, and Chloroflexi, which together account for over 99%of the total population.Similar to that in the seawater in the trench, the operational taxonomic units(OTUs)belonging to Gammaproteobacteria from the sediment samples showed high abundance. However, common bacterial OTUs in the water of the trench including Nitrospirae and Marinimicrobia were hardly found in the sediments from the southern Mariana Trench or the hadal region. Therefore, this study documented for the first time the compositions of microbial diversity in the trench sediments, revealed the difference in microbial diversity in water and sediment of the trench and will enrich the knowledge on the microbial diversity in the abyssal areas. | LI Yingjie CAO Wenrui WANG Yan MA Qingjun | 2019 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,3: | 3
A Novel Approach for QoS Prediction Based on Bayesian Combinational Model显示文摘As an important factor in evaluating service,QoS(Quality of Service) has drawn more and more concerns with the rapid increasing of Web services. However, due to the great volatility of services in Mobile Internet environments, such as internet of vehicles,Web services often do not work as announced and thus cause unacceptable problems. QoS prediction can avoid failure before it takes place, which is considered a more effective way to assure quality. However,Current QoS prediction approaches neither consider the highly dynamic of Web services, nor maintain good prediction performance all the time. Consequently we propose a novel Bayesian combinational model to predict QoS by continuously adjusting credit values of the basic models so as to keep good prediction accuracy. QoS attributes such as response time, throughput and reliability are used to validate the proposed model. Experimental results show that the model can provide stable prediction results in Mobile Internet environments. | Pengcheng Zhang Yingtao Sun Hareton Leung Meijun Xu Wenrui Li | 2016 | China Communications2016,13,11: | 3
Preparation and stability investigation of tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained release pellets containing acrylic resin polymers with two different techniques显示文摘The objective of this study was to prepare tamsulosin hydrochloride-sustained release(TSH-SR)pellets which showed good release stability with frame-controlled method.TSH was added to Eudragit~?NE30D and Eudragit~?L30D-55 polymers to form drug-loaded inner core.Afterwards, enteric Eudragit~?L30D-55 polymer was modified on the surface of it to the final product.Dissolution studies showed that TSH-SR pellets were more stable during the coating process, different curing temperatures and storage conditions compared with TSH pellets produced by film-controlled technique.Appearances and glass transition temperatures(Tgs)of free films and surface morphologies observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)of blank sustained release pellets prepared by different ratios of Eudragit~?NE30D and Eudragit~?L30D-55 further indicated that temperature and relative humidity(RH)were the key factors when Eudragit~?NE30D blended with Eudragit~?L30D-55 were applied to sustained/controlled release preparations. In addition,SEM identified the surface morphologies of TSH-SR pellets before and after dissolution, which showed intact surface structure and great correlation with release curve respectively. | Rui Fan Yinghua Sun Bing Li Ruyi Yang Wenrui Ma Jin Sun | 2017 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2017,12,2: | 2
Epidemiological features of four human plague cases in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China in 2019显示文摘This study aims to investigate cases of human plague in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (IMAR), China, and to inform the development of plague prevention and control strategies. On 12th of November 2019, two herdsmen from Sunitezuo Banner, Xilingol League were diagnosed with pneumonic plague in Beijing, China. On November 16th, one resident of Xianghuang Banner, Xilingol League was diagnosed with bubonic plague in Huade County Hospital, Ulanqab, China. On 27th of November, one resident of Siziwang Banner was diagnosed with bubonic plague. In total, 78 close contacts were monitored over a period, but none of them developed symptoms. Plague outbreaks in animals had been reported in Sunitezuo Banner, Xianghuang Banner, and Siziwang Banner in 2019. Two of the four cases were related (husband and wife), but not the other two. All the cases may be associated with contact with rodents (hare) or infected fleas. The cases highlight the importance of early identification of plague cases in humans in order to stop further infection. This demonstrates the value of monitoring and ongoing vigilance on endemic diseases, the importance of updating medical training and raising public awareness about infectious diseases that even have not been observed over decades. | Feng Yilan Fan Mengguang Gao Yulong Li Jianyun Zhang Dayu Wang Shuyi Wang Wenrui | 2020 | Biosafety and Health2020,2,1: | 2
Automated monitoring of early neurobehavioral changes in mice following traumatic brain injury显示文摘Traumatic brain injury often causes a variety of behavioral and emotional impairments that can develop into chronic disorders. Therefore, there is a need to shift towards identifying early symptoms that can aid in the prediction of traumatic brain injury outcomes and behavioral endpoints in patients with traumatic brain injury after early interventions. In this study, we used the Smart Cage system, an automated quantitative approach to assess behavior alterations in mice during an early phase of traumatic brain injury in their home cages. Female C57BL/6 adult mice were subjected to moderate controlled cortical impact(CCI) injury. The mice then received a battery of behavioral assessments including neurological score, locomotor activity, sleep/wake states, and anxiety-like behaviors on days 1, 2, and 7 after CCI. Histological analysis was performed on day 7 after the last assessment. Spontaneous activities on days 1 and 2 after injury were significantly decreased in the CCI group. The average percentage of sleep time spent in both dark and light cycles were significantly higher in the CCI group than in the sham group. For anxiety-like behaviors, the time spent in a light compartment and the number of transitions between the dark/light compartments were all significantly reduced in the CCI group than in the sham group. In addition, the mice suffering from CCI exhibited a preference of staying in the dark compartment of a dark/light cage. The CCI mice showed reduced neurological score and histological abnormalities, which are well correlated to the automated behavioral assessments. Our findings demonstrate that the automated Smart Cage system provides sensitive and objective measures for early behavior changes in mice following traumatic brain injury. | Wenrui Qu Nai-kui Liu Xin-min (Simon) Xie Rui Li Xiao-ming Xu | 2016 | Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,2: | 2
Numerical study on onset of oscillatory thermocapillary flow in rectangular liquid pool显示文摘Thermocapillary flow in a rectangular liquid pool of large Prandtl fluid(Pr=105.6) is numerically studied in microgravity.Oscillatory thermocapillary flow arises when the imposed temperature difference between the sidewalls exceeds a critical value. The fluctuations of the oscillatory flow, accompanied by the propagation of the hydrothermal wave from the cold sidewall to the hot one,are much smaller than the time-averaged velocity and temperature fields. The corresponding disturbance cells arise in the centre of the liquid pool initially, and extend to the whole region with the increasing imposed temperature difference. The present study reveals the different characteristics of the oscillatory themocapillary flow in the rectangular liquid pool as compared to the cases in other configurations. | HU WenRui,TANG ZeMei & LI Kai Key Laboratory of Microgravity(National Microgravity Laboratory),Institute of Mechanics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing10090,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,4: | 2
Cryogenic mechanical behavior of a TRIP-assisted dual-phase highentropy alloy显示文摘The recently developed dual-phase(DP)non-equiatomic Fe_(50)Mn_(30)Co_(10)Cr_(10)(at.%)high-entropy alloy(HEA)showed much higher strength and ductility compared to the single-phase equiatomic Fe_(20)Mn_(20)Ni_(20)Co_(20)Cr_(20)(at.%)HEA at room temperature.Herein we probe the cryogenic mechanical properties of the non-equiatomic DP-HEA with different grain sizes and compare with the equiatomic single-phase HEA.Our results show that the cryogenic ultimate tensile strengths of the coarse-grained(~200μm)and fine-grained(~4μm)DP-HEAs reach up to 1,133 and 1,342 MPa,respectively, which are significantly higher than that of the equiatomic single-phase HEAs with similar grain sizes.Furthermore, the fine-grained DP-HEA shows substantial improvement in both strength and ductility compared to the coarse-grained counterparts at cryogenic temperatures.Microstructural analysis reveals that the enhanced mechanical properties of the DP-HEA at cryogenic temperatures are attributed to a more extensive displacive transformation from the face-centered cubic(FCC)matrix into the hexagonal close-packed(HCP)phase compared to that at room temperature.Specifically, the HCP phase fraction in tensile tested fine-grained DP-HEAs increases from~39%to~79%with decreasing temperature from 298 to 77 K.The enhanced transformation behavior is enabled by the reduced stacking fault energy of the material with the decrease of deformation temperatures. The resulting outstanding combination of strength and ductility further suggests that the DP-HEAs are promising candidates as structural materials for cryogenic applications. | Dongyue Li Zhiming Li Lu Xie Yong Zhang Wenrui Wang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 2

A nonlinear model for aerodynamic configuration of wake behind horizontal-axis wind turbine显示文摘Determination of the aerodynamic configuration of wake is the key to analysis and evaluation of the rotor aerodynamic characteristics of a horizontal-axis wind turbine. According to the aerodynamic configuration, the real magnitude and direction of the onflow velocity at the rotor blade can be determined, and subsequently, the aerodynamic force on the rotor can be determined. The commonly employed wake aerodynamic models are of the cylindrical form instead of the actual expanding one. This is because the influence of the radial component of the induced velocity on the wake configuration is neglected. Therefore, this model should be called a 'linear model'. Using this model means that the induced velocities at the rotor blades and aerodynamic loads on them would be inexact. An approximately accurate approach is proposed in this paper to determine the so-called 'nonlinear' wake aerodynamic configuration by means of the potential theory, where the influence of all three coordinate components of the induced velocity on wake aerodynamic configuration is taken into account to obtain a kind of expanding wake that approximately looks like an actual one. First, the rotor aerodynamic model composed of axial (central), bound, and trailing vortexes is established with the help of the finite aspect wing theory. Then, the Biot-Savart formula for the potential flow theory is used to derive a set of integral equations to evaluate the three components of the induced velocity at any point within the wake. The numerical solution to the integral equations is found, and the loci of all elementary trailing vortex filaments behind the rotor are determined thereafter. Finally, to formulate an actual wind turbine rotor, using the nonlinear wake model, the induced velocity everywhere in the wake, especially that at the rotor blade, is obtained in the case of various tip speed ratios and compared with the wake boundary in a neutral atmospheric boundary layer. Hereby, some useful and referential conclusions are offered for the aerodynamic computation and design of the rotor of the horizontal-axis wind turbine. | Deshun LI Tao GUO Rennian LI Congxin YANG Zhaoxue CHENG Ye LI Wenrui HU | 2019 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2019,40,9: | 1
