1Unraveling a genetic roadmap for improved taste in the domesticated apple显示文摘Although taste is an important aspect of fruit quality, an understanding of its genetic control remains elusive in apple and other fruit crops. In this study, we conducted genomic sequence analysis of 497 Malus accessions and revealed erosion of genetic diversity caused by apple breeding and possible independent domestication events of dessert and cider apples. Signatures of selection for fruit acidity and size, but not for fruit sugar content, were detected during the processes of both domestication and improvement. Furthermore, we found that single mutations in major genes affecting fruit taste, including Ma1, MdTDT, and MdSOT2, dramatically decrease malate, citrate, and sorbitol accumulation, respectively, and correspond to important domestication events. Interestingly, Ma1 was identified to have pleiotropic effects on both organic acid content and sugar:acid ratio, suggesting that it plays a vital role in determining fruit taste. Fruit taste is unlikely to have been negatively affected by linkage drag associated with selection for larger fruit that resulted from the pyramiding of multiple genes with minor effects on fruit size. 3Facile Construction of Carbon Dots Layer and Oxygen Vacancies Simultaneously onto Ti0_(2) to Enhance Photoreduction Activity显示文摘We reported a facile and green hydrothermal strategy to tailor the carbon dots layer(CDL)and oxygen vacancies(Vo)modified on Ti0_(2),by using ascorbic acid as CDL precursor and Vo regulator.The amorphous CDL was uniformly coated on the surface of the as prepared CDL@TiO_(2-x) composites by Ti-O-C bond.With the increase of carbon content,the amorphous CDL gradually became thicker,while the Vo concentration first increased and then decreased.1.5 CDL@TiO_(2-x) possessed the highest Vo concentration.With the decoration of CDL and Vo,the photoreduction properties of CDL@TiO_(2-x) composites were significantly improved.Under simulated solar light and visible light,the reaction rates of 1.5 CDL@TiO_(2-x) were 9.6 times and 216 times higher than that of pure Ti0_(2)/respectively.Interestingly,the results discovered that CDL and Vo influenced the properties of CDL@TiO_(2-x) composites in different ways.The primary function of CDL was to improve the utilization of solar light,and the enhancement of the charge transfer ability was decided by Vo and CDL together.Our work provides a new strategy for the modification of Ti0_(2) and sheds new light on the respective role of CDL and Vo when they coexist in the catalyst.Jingyu Zhao Yarn Li Ping Na 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,5:2

16^(18)F-FDG PET/CT in diagnosis of skeletal metastases显示文摘This work is to evaluate correlated lesions in PET and CT images of patients suffering skeletal metastases so as to improve efficacy of 18F-FDG PET/CT in diagnosing bone metastases. PET and CT images of 25 patients with malignant tumor suspected bone metastases were reviewed independently by three experts. A region of interest was placed over each lesion, and the standardized uptake value (SUV) was calculated at the maximal single pixel value. The t and χ2 tests were used for statistical analysis. Of the 203 lesions detected on the PET and CT images, 189 were malignant and 14 were benign lesions. PET alone identified 159 malignant lesions and 6 benign lesions, CT alone identified 152 malignant lesions and 11 benign lesions. For PET, the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 84.1%, 71.4% and 83.3%, respectively, while 80.4%, 71.4% and 83.3% for CT. No significant difference was found between PET and CT in detecting bone metastases (χ2=0.89, 0.19, 0.59, P>0.05). Statistical difference of positive ratio of PET was found between osteoblastic and osteolytic or mixed lesions (χ2=47.33, 7.93, both P<0.05). Of the 122 positive lesions on both CT and PET scan, the mean SUV was 5.76±3.41, 8.52±5.37 and 7.78±4.96 in osteoblastic lesions, osteolytic lesions and mixed lesions, respectively. Significant difference was found between osteoblast lesions and osteolytic lesions (t=2.28, P<0.05).
